Sakura Hagiwara vs. Lauren Fredericks

Lauren was dressed and ready in her blue swimsuit, white kneepads and white boots. She was foing up against some young singer turned wrestler and the big less-than-fit Lauren was not about to lose to some little girl!

As her music began to play she came out into the arena to hear a smattering of cheers and polite applause. The crowd didn't seem to think much of her appearance so she was going to do all she could to power her way through to winning them over.

Lauren walked up the ring steps and held her arms up as she walked around the ring, eventually settling into her corner and waiting for the singer girl to arrive in the ring.

Coming to AFW had been rocky for sure, but she wasn't about to let it get her down. She had fought tooth and nail to claw her way into a place within professional wrestling and no amount of sour apples in the locker room were about to make her doubt that choice now. She had already been there at the bottom of the barrel, felt that feeling of loss and despair, and had been pulled from it by her mentor Misaki Toyoda. She expected there to be growing pains in a new brand. Different faces, but much of the same adversity. She could hear it in the back, loud mouth wrestlers who were hellbent on carving out a piece of Sweet Diva's star vocalist all to push some elitist agenda for professional wrestling. She was here to prove them wrong. Show the world that with enough hard work and dedication, anyone could be a professional wrestler if they put their mind to it. After all, if she could do it, anyone could.

Sakura Hagiwara:

Bursting from the black curtains from gorilla position, she threw her arms wide with a cheer. The crowd erupted in cheers, nearly drowning out her music as the audience raised their "Sakura Hagiwara", "Berserk" and "Sweet Diva" signs high, bouncing with her music. Her fans were ravenously loyal from here work as an idol and time with Berserk gym. It wasn't without merit though, she had more than proven her place in both careers and emerged as something of a superstar with world class selling power.

Charging down the ramp, she stretched out a hand to clap her palm against outstretched high fives, making sure she got as many as she could. Bounding up the steel steps, she planted her hand on the top rope and vaulted over to land easily with silent grace. Throwing a hand up, fingers parted with a V for victory as she shouted her thanks out to the crowd. High above a pop of confetti as red and white paper raised down into the ring as she  hyped the crowd with a pumped fist, absolutely oozing charisma. After a brief circle around the ring, she came to a stop before Lauren with a bright smile, bowing politely to her opponent as the referee casually swept the ring clean with a grumble.

"Konichiwa! I'm Hagiwara Sakura!" She gave her hips a poppy sway, planting her hands firmly on her hips. "You look tough... hopefully I won't disappoint!" She gave a firm nod, bouncing back on the balls of her feet, easing into her grappling stance. Her bright eyes took on a steely hardness as she sized the larger woman up, already hard at work comparing her to other women she had battled throughout the years to figure out a good approach.

Lauren watched the fan favorite come out and it was clear who the people wanted to see win. Lauren smiled and nodded to her before stepping up and flexing her arms. "I am going to do my best to be more woman than you can handle little girl, best of luck and we will have us quite the match." Lauren said confidently.

The bell rang and she lunged in trying to grapple Sakura and use her power to force Sakura back hard into the corner!

"Hm! Its time to show you what this "little girl" can do then!" Sakura flashed Lauren a grin, shooting the older woman a playful wink. At the sound of the bell she planted her feet, preparing to meet the other woman's charge. She was successful in that regard, managing to lock up with the blond woman, locking horns. The surge from the other woman forced the idol back, boots dragging along the canvas until she managed to halt her backwards momentum by leaning into Lauren's push. Her arms shook, trying to push back but not managing to make any ground. She wasn't going to be overpowering this lady out the gate so it was time to abandon that plan.

Each passing second found her surrendering more ground, glancing back at the slowly inching approach of the corner. Unsure if she could actually break away, Sakura opted to take a small gamble and let Lauren push her back even further, waiting until she had almost reached the corner. Kicking one leg back, she blindly felt around until she found the turnbuckle., using it a a brace with one leg. She kicked back the other, walking herself diagonally up onto the second turnbuckle where she would thrust her legs out, trying to break the tie up by flipping herself over Lauren, reaching back to try and grab her by the sides of the head and bring her down to the mat in an impromptu cutter!

Lauren was totally unprepared for what happened next! She suddenly was falling back and landing with pain shooting through her head as well as her neck!

Lauren cradled her head in her arms, weakly kicking the mat as she let out a loud scream of agony while the crowd cheered on Sakura. Lauren looked down and out from the surprise cutter and she was not even trying to get up, still laying on her back.

Sakura bounced along the canvas whens he landed, feeling the reassuring crack of the back of Lauren's head beside her and feeling the rumble of the whole ring. She carried her momentum forward, immediately rolling to her feet to the applause of the audience. There was no time to celebrate though, she had created a momentary opening and she had to capitalize on it! With a whip of her hair over one shoulder she turned, spying the blond still down on the mat in the perfect position for something flashy! Taking a half step back, the idol took a lunge, hopping over her downed opponent to make her way to the corner.

"Here we go!" She quickly scrambled up the roped, hopping herself to the top turnbuckle in a crouch. Without even looking, she hurled herself backwards, twisting in the arm with her arms and legs thrown wide to come crashing down across the fallen Lauren. If she managed to land the body splash, she would keep her body draped across the blond, going for an early pinfall!

Lauren was down and out from the one surprise move that had devastated her. She wasn't aware of what Sakura was doing until it was too late! "AAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHH!" Lauren howled as her face was twisted in pain, her eyes shut as her shouts of agony continued.

"ONE!"

Lauren flopped her arms about and raised her leg up weakly kicking the mat as her thighs quaked, leading to a few people in the audience actually pointing and laughing, along with one loudly yelling 'jigglypuff' at her!

"TWO!"

Lauren thrust both legs up bringing them crashing down limply to try to kick out but it failed! At two and a half a desperate Lauren tried again kicking both legs down and bucking her hips to dislodge Sakura at two and a half, nearly getting pinned for three less than 20 seconds into the match.

Sakura's heart was pounding as she covered Lauren, making sure she distributed her weight on the woman's upper body just like she was taught. She had never started a match with this much fire but it felt great. If she could manage to get the win now? Wow! That would have been impressive. Lauren flopped beneath her, trying to make for a quick kick out. The idol countered by shifting her weight, bringing her forearm down on top of the blonde arm to keep it pinned. The older woman was really trying, making the younger wrestler hold on like she was riding a mechanical bull. She wouldn't let up, not when she could seize a early victory!

"Shoot!" With one final buck, Lauren had managed to flop Sakura cleanly off of her onto her side. With a practiced roll she created a small bit of space between the two of them and quickly popped to her feet. She had a pleased smile on her face, disappointed to have missed the win, but confident she could do it again with some more work. She jogged her way back to her floored opponent, reaching down to grab hold of her should and behind her neck to start to drag her upright.

Lauren was heavy, but she had managed larger women before. With a bit of strain she would try to hoist the other woman to her feet, leaving her to stand upright and dazed. If she had managed that, the idol would take two quick steps backwards then throw herself towards Lauren, thrusting her legs out with her signature "Mochi Missile" dropkick, trying to send the other woman backwards into the corner she had tried to make use of in the beginning of the match. "Hah!"

Lauren was hurting and in a daze, so when she heard the footsteps of Sakura she saw a blurry figure coming at her and the big flubbery 189 pounder stepped to the side to dodge the dropkick just barely! Lauren was still hobbling about on limp legs but she knew she had to do something!

"My turn now, take this!" Lauren screamed as she stepped in towards Sakura putting everything she had into a big forearm smash right to the chest of her smaller younger opponent as she tried to floor Sakura with her strike to demonstrate some of her own power against the plucky young singer!

Sakura let out a gasp as Lauren dipped to the side, harrowingly avoiding her drop kick. It left the idol dropping to the mat with a light this, the sort of practiced falls she had trained for. It was fine, no sooner had she hit the mat than she was already springing back up from her hands and knees. The sort idol stood right back up to the blonde swinging forearm smash, taking it full on in her bosom. The young rookie let out a surprised cry at the sheer force behind the blow, taking her up off her feet completely to hit the mat hard on her back, bouncing twice before she came to a stop.

Her body jiggled just a bit as she lay blinking, taken aback by just how strong Lauren had managed to hit her. With a shaky strained groan, she slowly tried to sit herself up, putting a hand to her chest to just just how sore she was. "That's smarts." She mumbled softly, wincing as she applied a bit of pressure to her breast to feel the damage with her fingers. She was going to have to be a bit more careful.
