Excuse me. I wasn't sure where to turn. I'm terribly shy and a little overwhelmed. I might need some help getting started.

Welcome to the community. Embrace the power of anonymity of the vast internet space and cast aside your woes and worries. If you have any questions, it never hurts to ask folks around here, either publicly on here or over in the discord or something. All else fails, pester the mods. That is what they are there for. If you have any hangups about making characters or getting started, there is a plethora of old or ongoing threads and bios you can peek in on and see what other folks are doing.

It can be a lot to take in. Pace yourself and don't put to much on your plate too fast until you find a good rhythm for yourself. Its the easiest way to avoid burnout.

Welcome in. I was one of the last new guys to join the site and I know it feels intimidating at first but once you get your first character set up and start writing it gets easier. You can learn a lot by looking around at all the different posts and styles here so check out some character bio pages to get an idea of what you'll need for your person as well some of the threads to see what you'll feel most comfortable writing about.
