Natsuko Arisawa vs. Wolf Hawkfield - The Way It's Done

”Hm. Natsufast, Natsufast.” Cheyenne muttered to herself after Natsuko was yanked away, going back into it with her Dad. She started typing away on her phone, then snapped her finger. ”Ooooooh, like ‘Not So Fast’. I get it. Cute.”

Wolf, meanwhile, was pondering more important things, like how he’d been able to get a lot more hangtime with this Electric Chair back in the day. The hangtime he managed with Natsuko wasn’t the worst, he’d admit, but he could’ve done better. Especially since she didn’t weigh all that much. Sign of the times, sadly. His back just was not what it used to be.

He rolled forward and got back to his feet a moment later, pulling his way back up to the ropes by support. ”A little focus goes a long way, little lady.” He rolled his shoulders as he marched her way, then reached down to grab her by the arm and hoist her back up to her feet. The moment she was standing enough for it, Wolf twisted to the side, took a big step, and attempted to send her running towards the corner with a sharp Irish Whip, trying to keep her moving before she could recoup from the fall.

Natsu had no idea that the Tension arena had seats for fans that expanded that high up the building. She spotted them while in mid-fling, and distinctly remembered her brother taking her to a few baseball games when she was a young tyke and Goto was a teenager, although unfortunately they could only afford those exact same type of nosebleeds seats. But they made the most out of it thanks to a pair of binoculars and getting to make friends with all the fellow cheapskates. Those were good times...much better times than she was having now after having been flipped overhead to a ring wavering splash, Natsu huddled into a ball and cradling her midsection before getting some sound advice about perhaps worrying about her social media accounts some other time...

"...*cough*...I dunno if yer poking fun at my size with all the little stuff, but if ya are that's so not cool..." Natsu muttered to the towering grappler, unwillingly rising back up to her feet thanks to Wolf's tugging grip on her arm. Still in winded bewilderment after the whirlwind rollercoaster he'd propelled her into, the school-girl stood beside the hulking Father gripping her arm before he'd side-stepped and had her scampering to the corner turnbuckle with a fluttering of her bandana. Natsu pumping her lithe legs from the sprint before spinning around to have her collide back first, her sneakered feet kicking out somewhat before she'd slump back down into her cornered positioning. All this flying and running around definitely putting her in a bit of frazzled daze here...

This rough stuff was probably too much, Wolf knew that. Natsuko seemed like a strong, energetic woman, a tough spirit, but that didn’t always translate to physical prowess - he knew from experience the damage you could do from being too overzealous with weaker opponents, and the last thing he wanted to do was shorten a bright woman’s career.

But he was winning this. This taste from his loss to PDSM was still in his mouth, and he needed a good win to wash it down. So while he wasn’t going to go hardcore, he didn’t intend to softball her, either.

Those thoughts rang in his mind after he launched Natsuko to the corner and took off in the opposite direction right after. He stopped just shy of the turnbuckle, spun about, then came charging at her with all the speed he could muster - he was never the fastest, sure, but he could get some decent momentum going when he wanted to, and this was one of those times.

He ducked down when he was close enough, then sprang up with her arm out, looking to give her a clubbing blow in the chest and knock the wind clean out of her.

*Hoo-boy, was this guy strong.* Natsu came to this sage conclusion not just from being flown halfway across the ring, but from how effortlessly and seamlessly he'd brought her back to her feet and propelled her spine first into the turnbuckle. It kinda reminded Natsu of when she and Nami would go down by the old River City piers to start brawling with the thugs there who'd been harassing some of the other girls at school. At least before the jacked-up brawn of the gang made his appearance, usually with a steel pipe in his hands. That's when the fight always kicked up a few notches, and they'd be taking their own shiners before putting him down for the count.

With that in memory in mind, Natsu had a better idea of the caliber of opponent she'd been tussling with up until now. She'd puff out some exhaled air to waft away her white bandana that was impeding her eyesight, still slumped dejectedly into the turnbuckle but now with a better field of vision. Which caught the Wolfman waltzing across the ring and giving an early warning sign that he'd intended to come steamrolling right back to probably make a Natsu sandwich out of her.

The spry schoolgirl planted her sneakered feet, clenched onto the top ropes, and adopted a steadfast glare across the ring as she gulped down her reservations and did what felt natural to her...she went off sprinting right at Wolf as he started making his way back to her. At the very last second before collision, she'd tuck in her feet, and levy them against Wolf's massive pecs for a cave-in stomp known as her "Early Spring" maneuver.

Body Splash. Irish Whip to opposite corner. Body Splash again. Let her stumble out. Lift her up, hit her with the Death Valley Driver. 1, 2, 3.

Simple. Easy. Effective.

Wolf had the setup locked in his mind fairly well, even as he bore down on Natsu at ramming speed. It would be rough on her, but he was fairly certain he could get a pin off that combo, and he didn’t see her being able to do much to counter. In less than a minute, this would be over, and Cheyenne would hopefully have a very important lesson in the bag on how to approach stronger opponents, and what not to do.

Like, for instance, running to intercept them head on. That was a bad idea. And, funnily enough, it was Natsuko seemed to be doing as he came barreling towards her. Wolf didn’t stop his forward momentum, but he did internally shake his head as he neared. Kids today, so impulsive. This was just going to get her bowled over and hurt even worse than if she’d just stayed in the corner, unless she did something out-of-left-field crazy, like…

...like leaping up at the last minute and planting her feet on his chest, thereby throwing him totally off balance and planting him flat on his back. Which was what happened, unfortunately.

Wolf found himself floored right away by the surprise maneuver, leaving him under Natsuko’s sneakers while his daughter cheered her on from the sidelines. ”Holy shit, that was tight! Totally using that next chance I get!”

Hey. She only planned to do what came natural to her. Not necessarily what would have been the wisest or more prudently strategic choice in the matter. Natsu could practically sense her older brother's disapproving huff as he watched his little sister do the exact opposite of him in this situation and dash straight into imminent danger with reckless abandon. A stern finger-wagging speech would no doubt have been waiting for her backstage as soon as she stepped behind the curtains...but come on. He would HAVE to admit that it looked friggin badass, right? Hundreds of people would agree with her on that one as she demonstrated pure youthful spunk by folding in her legs and flattening out the seasoned grappler while leaving the audience slack-jawed in marveled ohhh's from the unorthodox offense some might deem ingenious...

...until that notion became significantly less believable as Natsu fumbled the landing big time. She'd manage to stamp her legs down on Wolf's pecs before bumbling over him in an uncoordinated flailing of her arms before she'd go sliding face-first as if she were trying to reach home base on an inside the park home-run. She'd kip her legs up at the knees before they'd slump back down, just than cutely popping her head up to the sound of Cheyenne's fandom right in front of her. Eyes widened in astonishment that everything went according to her non-existent plan before she started scrambling back to the center of the ring. "S'allYoursToTrySorryBRB!!!!" Natsu's toes leveraged into the canvas as she crawled on all fours back towards the downed Wolf, her schoolgirl figure splayed across his muscled frame with a heaving grunt when it came to tugging back one of his legs.

"One!"

Natsu stomping his chest like that hurt. A lot. Far more than he was expecting, actually. He’d been stomped more times than he could or wanted to count, but that might’ve been the worst instance. It sure hurt enough. Felt like two daggers shooting right into his chest, painful enough that he could’ve sworn it went through his body. No broken bones, but she’d definitely bruised something. He’d be feeling this one for a while to come.

”2…!”

Oh, and there was that.

He was honestly surprised that she even tried a pin this early in the match - most of the younger wrestlers only went for it when they were sure it would get a win, near the latter half. Natsuko had a good grasp of the fundamentals, taking an opportunity even if she knew it wasn’t likely to work...and no, it wasn’t going to work.

He threw his arm up after the second count and rolled over to his side, shoving her off in the process. Wolf still had plenty of life left, though he was quite wounded, he had to concede. Aching, he started to push his way back up, but it was slower going than he would’ve liked.

For as high a score Natsu may have gotten in execution, she'd haveta assume that there'd be nothing zero's, one's, and two's when the judges brought up the scorecards for her landing. Which may have to do with the fact that she'd never exactly gotten this move past the planning phase, but she figured now was as good a time as any to give it a test run. Especially when the alternative was barreling towards her with every intent of squashing her against the turnbuckle. She'd haveta work on sticking that landing later because her time spent scrambling to Wolf for the pinfall may have been why she didn't score the upset win here.

"...Ooof...Aw shiiiioot..." Natsu exclaimed with a cuss word almost being blurted out after being jostled off of Mr. Hawkfield, the schoolgirl tumbling off to glare at the roof-lights before swiveling around to get back on her sneakered feet. She exhaled through pursed lips while hopping on her toes to psyche herself up a bit, knowing that she needed the match's momentum to keep flowing in her favor as she backpedaled to the ring ropes. She was a good distance from Wolf before she hunched herself down to plant her fingertips on the floor with feet angled behind her in a sprinter's starting position. The schoolgirl taking off in a dash once Wolf was on one knee so she could step on that knee and attempt an enzuigiri to the side of his noggin.

”You okay in there, Dad?” His daughter chirped from the sidelines, sounding way too glib for his liking. ”Having problems with the big, bad teenager.”

”That’s not helping, Cheyenne.”

”Not trying to, gotta be real.”

Wolf grumbled as he turned over and started to push his way back up, having a much harder time with it than he wanted to admit. Natsuko was doing a good job of keeping the pressure up, he had to give her that, and the weird move she’d chosen was effective. It left him hurt, aching, so much so that he couldn’t muster a good response as she came in, planted her foot on his knee, and-

Yup, right on the button. An enziguiri to the face, hitting with enough force to send him reeling. Wolf flopped to his back once more, but this time, he had the good sense to roll to the apron, making a momentary retreat. It was there that he grabbed the ropes and started to pull his way back up, hoping he might have a chance to rise unmolested.

Man...Natsu hoped that one day she'd be able to have as relaxed a discourse with her brother as Wolf and Cub have with eachother. Usually with her older brother Goto it typically devolves into him scolding her for slacking off in her training or not honoring the way of the fist or for eating the last frozen pizza. Mind you, the schoolgirl couldn't actually hear what was being said between them, but she had a feeling it was nothing but uplifting support between a healthy Father/Daughter relationship~...So it was kind of a shame she had to ruin the moment by cracking Mr. Wolf against the side of his head like that, Natsu hoping he won't take it personally as she landed off to the side and appraised the situation.

The Street-Fighting Schoolgirl remained hunched over with the palms of her hands adjusted atop her knees, practically getting goosebumps from the competitive thrill of tangling with a cookie as tough as Mr. Wolf. But once this cookie started rising back up to his feet, Natsu went barreling straight forward with her youthful fire scorching within. Natsu putting all of her time on the high-school track team and those gym exercises to good use by springing into the air with a cocked back fist and probably looking badass in her Superman Punch attempt~...a small part of her wondering if her brother was watching her about to take down someone he himself would have trouble against.
