______________________________________Characteristics______________________________________
Personality:
Masako is above everything a professional. She takes her job really seriously and likes to give her best performance in any aspect of her working life. People that have to deal with her in a working environment tend to confuse her reflexivity, efficiency and strict demeanor with coldness and impersonal nature.
Outside the working environment she has a much laxer character. She is still serious in her ways but she is much more relaxed around people and lets herself slip some mistakes, something the perfectionist inside her would never allow to transpire while working.
Concerning people, she isn’t a woman of few words but she isn’t exactly shy or an introvert. She has just some efficient character that makes her use the smallest ammount of words possible, but that isn’t to be mistaken with bitterness or distancing. She enjoys the presence of others but she tries to remain professional at work. She isn’t afraid to open to others though, and the people close to her outside her working enviroment say she is actually quite fun and lighthearted, if only a little bit too much serious.

Background:
From the very first years of her life Masako was raised to live up to the expectations of her heavily demanding parents. She was four when she got into music lessons, learning quickly how to read music and play several Japanese traditional instruments. When she finished elementary school both her parents and every single teacher she had agreed on labeling the girl as a genius in the making.
That was actually an unfair statement since talking about her like she was some kind of inborn genius took away all the merit in her hard working. Mostly because of that attitude Masako grew up to become a very diligent and hard working teenager. Always busy with some studying, kanji writing lessons, music, the literature club or the martial arts learning, the girl didn’t have the time to mingle around except when in group tasks, so she grew up to be quite independent. Masako was, putting it plainly, the perfect daughter any set of parents would want.
But the problem inherent to all this situation was that no one was truly asking Masako what she wanted to do. Learning the proper Japanese traditional ways she only wanted to honor her parents and her family by being obedient about anything they threw at her. She didn’t have an idea about what her family had in store for her.
As soon as she finished high school with all honors and became of age she learnt that her parents had arranged some marriage for Masako. She wasn’t happy about the idea of becoming a housewife and not being able to go to university or work by herself, but her traditional family made its best to impose that way of life to her. With a torn heart but not wanting to contradict her parents, Masako reluctantly accepted the marriage proposal.
Her husband to be didn’t turn out to be a bad person. In fact, he was much more caring to Masako that her parents had ever be. He was the son of a very important politician and his son was going to step in into politics himself, and that was why her parents wanted her to marry him. Daichi was caring and tender with her in a way she didn’t know people could be, and they grew close to each other before their marriage one would think that love may bloom in there. If only Masako had liked men.
Not having payed attention to that aspect of life since she was always so busy Masako wasn’t even sure about it until she was married. She didn’t like men, she just couldn’t. In her wedding night her pain was too unbearable and she broke into tears when she realized she wanted to give what she was expected to, but for the first time she couldn’t. There came Daichi, now her husband, with the biggest single act of unconditional love she ever received. Daichi understood what was happening even without the words coming out from her mouth. He just embraced her and told his wife that everything would be ok.
Daichi knew his way around laws and he could find a loophole to invalidate their marriage agreement, freeing Masako from any obligation. Even if in her ex-husband she would have an eternal friend, unluckily Masako’s ties with her family were completely severed now, but those were good news. For the first time in her life Masako was free to listen to her own desires.
The woman joined college in business school, and once again became an honor student but this time not because of some demanding family but because of her own desire to do it. She took her time developing her business skills and she learnt that she really liked it. Being the top student of her class and mistaking her diligent manners with coldness her costudents started calling her the Ice Queen. She didn’t even pay attention to those gossipers.
In order to be able to pay for her college loans Masako took some job as a model. She was in actually pretty good physical form and even if it wasn’t her dreamed job she had a fun time, but she always tried to not be disgraced in it. The farthest she went with that was to model in bikini, but never with less clothes.
When Masako graduated with full honors she quitted her job as a model and went the next step in her dreams. She wanted to become a manager. The woman scouted the idol managing world but she didn’t like music that much and it was an industry she didn’t support. Then she thought of managing sportspeople but her knowledge of sports was limited. Then a crazy idea came into her mind. For some time she had liked wrestling and she had some knowledge of martial arts, so being a wrestling manager would be something she could do. That was how Masako set course for a new place in her life, finally being the one at the helm.
Trivia:
- She is allergic to soy products, it almost costs her her life when she was a young girl, what really scared her and made her really cautious about what she eats.
- She actually practices the Shinto religion.
- Because of the ties with her beliefs she dislikes the ruckus of the big city and prefers hanging out on parks to have lunch when at work. She also lives pretty close to a big park in which she can walk and think far from noise.
- Dislikes noisy people, but likes having long conversations.
- Wants to travel the world, but would like to live in Japan.
- Is quite the tea connoiseur, being proficient in the tea ceremony.
- Has a really good relationship with her ex-husband. They keep in touch and meet up regularly.
