Bacchus vs Mighty Yukiko

History had already been made tonight. How? Bacchus had shown up to the arena sober, though she did have her gourd of Baiju tucked in the sash tied around her waist while she stretched backstage. Her match was coming up soon, and getting a good stretch in before heading out to the ring was hardly out of the ordinary. But anyone who watched her closely would be able to tell she was taking tonight seriously. Sober and strictly focused...it was almost as if she was an entirely different person tonight. No, she hadn’t miraculously decided to ditch the alcohol out of concern for the potential effects it might have on her career, nor had she suddenly decided her win-loss rate was the new number one priority in her life. But there was a good reason for the rare change in the wild drunkard’s behaviour.

Tonight she was going one-on-one with Mighty Yukiko.

Even if she wasn’t the most hardcore wrestling fan, she’d watched the Wrestle Angels during their run, and knew plenty about this one in particular. Once upon a time she’d stood atop the wrestling world as the ace of the premier wrestling promotion. Times of course had changed, as had the names that now ruled the landscape of the sport, and Bacchus knew the Miracle Girl hadn’t been the same star since the fall of the Angels. Even so, the Chinese martial artist knew that the prestige of Yukiko’s name alone made this as high profile a matchup as she was likely to be in. And if the former Ace of the Angels was able to finally rekindle the flame of her former drive, this could be one of the most challenging battles of Bacchus’ career to this point, and she wanted to be at 100% for it.

Soon her music began to play, and Bacchus quickly stepped through the curtain, grinning ear to ear while she strode confidently down the aisle. Rolling her neck and shaking out her arms, she continued to get her limbs warmed up along the way before hopping up onto the apron and grabbing the top rope. Bacchus crouched down, then flung herself into a high leap, turning herself upside down in the air briefly before landing flat on her feet in the ring. She went to set her gourd down in her corner, then set about eagerly pacing back and forth, eyes glued to the entranceway while awaiting the arrival of Mighty Yukiko.

Making her way toward the curtain with Yukiko, Bomber Kishima briefly peeked through the curtain to get a look at her friend’s opponent in the ring. She didn’t know who the woman was, but she looked peculiar, and seemed more than a little excited for this one. Stepping back away from the curtain, she went to stand by Yukiko again, smiling and giving her a big pat on the shoulder.

“Don’t worry, you’ve got this. You ready?”

Mighty Yukiko would have been lying if she said she wasn't nervous about this match, with how poorly things had been going for her since her return to professional wrestling it was difficult to say what she had for expectations. Perhaps the spark was just gone, or perhaps she just didn't have it in her anymore to handle these new talents.

There was a lot of emotions that had been running wild around her head, though meeting up with Bomber Kishima had been like a wave washing away whatever worries that she had. Kishima had helped her understand that she wasn't the kind of person to be bogged down with worries, after all she was just a simple minded fool who could do nothing but her best in life. That was how it should be though.

Pumping her fist in front of Kishima as she asked her if she was ready, Mighty Yukiko would nod her head and release a almost excited sounding. " Yeah!"  

Music started to blast out of the speakers and with it the pink haired fighter would march out onto the ramp, looking back over her shoulder towards Kishima, she would then start to head down the ring! Spunky attitude mostly returned as she gave the crowd a few high fives as she made her way towards the ring.  

Climbing up onto the ring apron, she'd grab onto the top ropes and give them a thug to help launch and bounce over the ropes and into the ring. Throwing her left hand up as high as she could into the air as the crowd still cheering positively for the ace of aces.

Once Yukiko emerged on the stage, a grin tugged at Bacchus’ lips. She continued to pace while watching her famous opponent come down to the ring, but once she was close the martial artist began to lightly hop back and forth from one foot to another. Each second that brought this match closer to its start drove Bacchus’ eagerness for it even higher.

When Yukiko entered the ring and rallied the crowd to a thunderous cheer for her, Bacchus went right out to the woman and stood behind her, so she’d be right in front of her foe the next time she turned around. After staring Yukiko in the eye for a few moments, she’d chuckle while gesturing toward Kishima at ringside.

“Smart of ya to bring a friend. Might need a shoulder to cry on after I beat you.”

Yukiko would turn around to face her opponent only to find her right in her face, their chests nearly pressing together from how close her opponent had gotten up towards her. Blinking a bit in surprise as she would look at her opponent, hearing Bacchus speak out towards her....Yukiko would tilt her head to the side.

"Ah? She's not here for that...think of her like moral support." Yukiko answered rather honestly, " I simply plan to do my best and give you as tough of a fight as I can." Mighty Yukiko said as she raised her hand as a closed fist up, "So bring everything you got and I'll respond in kind!" Yukiko said in a fired up manner as she gave a nod to Bacchus.

The expression on Yukiko’s face when their eyes met was...not what Bacchus had expected to say the least. The former Angel’s recent struggles aside, she was still a legend in this business by all standards. But right now she looked more like some confused pedestrian wondering why Bacchus was looking at her. She half expected the girl to ask if she had something on her face.

Fortunately, Yukiko seemed to get into the spirit of it more as she spoke, bringing a grin to Bacchus’ lips. “Those better not just be empty words, cause I’ll be holding you to ‘em,” she said before backing off into her own corner, allowing the ref to ring the bell and officially start the match!

*DING!*

Coming out toward the middle of the ring, Bacchus held her hands up as if inviting Yukiko in to lock arms with her. But if her foe did indeed come in close, the former taekwondo olympian would punish her for it by lashing her right leg out, aiming a strong, lightning-quick kick for the side of Yukiko’s leg.

Mighty Yukiko would stand and look at Bacchus, having righted herself and gotten back a bit of that old Ace fire after talking to Kishima. Now she was ready to do this match, she would see the grin on her opponent and respond by nodding her head and backing up a bit until her back was pressed against the turnbuckle.

She'd nod her head and ready herself as she heard the bell, stepping out of the corner and coming to the middle of the ring. She'd see Bacchus look as if she wanted to start things up with a lock up. The pink haired fighter would quickly move in to accept, but as she tried to do so...

She instead took a harsh kick to her left leg, releasing a loud grunt of pain from that kick as she would quickly stagger back a step, flinching a bit from the pain of the sudden deadly kick. At least she learned that Bacchus had some nasty kicks in her repertoire.

A loud smack echoed through the arena as Bacchus’ foot struck Yukiko’s leg. At ringside, Kishima winced a bit at the sound. That sounded like it sucked. She considered yelling at Yukiko to be cautious of her foe’s kicks, but she doubted her friend needed to be told that now. So for the moment the Bomber was content to take a knee in the corner, arms resting on the apron while she watched on.

Bacchus was wearing a confident grin, amusement showing after her kick landed. But she didn’t waste time gloating or taunting. Her first shot had been a good one, but they were still just getting started. Closing in on Yukiko again, Bacchus this time waited until she was just close enough, and then abruptly spun around while swinging her leg out, aiming a spinning heel kick toward her foe’s gut to try to wind her.

Staggering backwards as Bacchus kick had nailed her rather hard, the pink haired wrestler sought to soothe the pain as she backed up and winced. She shook her head a little as she quickly tried to gather her senses but it didn't seem as if Bacchus was going to allow her a lot of time to rest.

Seeing the raven haired woman step in and turn, she had to think of something to do and at the moment all that Yukiko could do was breath out, grit her teeth and brace for the incoming impact. Bacchus heel struck her right in the gut with that spinning heel kick. " Guh!" Yukiko grunted out as she was forced to step back a step, one arm wrapped around her midsection as she hunched forward a bit, gritting her teeth and releasing a pained groan through her now bared teeth.

Another kick landed right on the mark, winding Yukiko and doubling her over. But when she stumbled back a step, Bacchus quickly reached out to get her arms around her foe’s head, not wanting her to get out of reach.

“Come here!” she said, before attempting to flip Yukiko forward and onto her but with a snapmare. If that worked, Bacchus would immediately stand up straight before throwing another stiff soccer kick, this one aimed right at the dead center of Yukiko’s back.

Yukiko coughed out as she backed up, trying to retreat and catch her breath, only for Bacchus to take a hold of her head and swing her up and over her shoulders! Dropping Yukiko down onto her rear with that snapemare, sending a jolt of pain running up the spine of the Mighty one!

Then as if that wasn't enough Bacchus sent another lethal kick right to her back! Smacking her leg across the back of the pink haired woman. "Aagh!" Yukiko cried out as she was forced to arch her back, shaking her head as she then tried to grit her teeth to keep from letting out any more pained cries.
