Personality: Daphne is loud and outgoing, sometimes to a fault. She’s bubbly in the sense that she’s a ‘good vibes all the time’ type and tends to purposely mistranslate her sister’s Greek if she thinks it will help everyone get along better. In the ring, she gets carried away and risks hurting her opponents if not kept in check. She always means well, however.

Past/History: Like her younger sister, Astra, Daphne was born to the Andronikos clan in Thessaloniki, Greece. She was enthralled by the world of wrestling even when she was very young, and became the favored daughter when Astra was discovered to not pay the family business much mind. Daphne trained seriously and was ecstatic when her fifteenth birthday and her first match arrived. This match was against a young man in his early twenties, whom her father had been training. While Daphne was still young and not expected to win against the larger man, she performed well enough that her defeat was honorable.

Despite her family’s reassurance, Daphne threw herself back into her training and went on a large winning streak that lasted until a little bit before her sister’s humiliating debut match. She didn’t shame her sister for her loss, instead taking it as an excuse to train even more and prevent herself from taking any more losses. Many of her matches were won the same way. She and her opponent would trade off a few moves because Daphne wanted to make things interesting. Then, Daphne would start slinging or tossing her opponent around when she got bored. This would inevitably lead to her victory, though a few opponents were able to outclass her, whether by strength or skill.

When Astra began struggling with her opponents’ increasingly sexual tactics after she turned eighteen, Daphne was forbidden by her parents from interfering. She grew more and more frustrated as her sister stacked up losing streaks broken up by the odd win. Her parents refused to help, stating that Astra’s skills should be sufficient to beat her opponents. It was after four years of this that Daphne lost her patience with the inflexibility of her parents’ teaching style. She decided to strike out on her own, and when Astra wanted to come along, it didn’t take much convincing. They found the AFW through an internet search, and sent in their audition tapes. They were hired within a few weeks, and set out for Japan.

Fun Facts: Daphne is an avid gamer, and learned some of her English from watching Let’s Play videos on the internet.
Daphne’s favorite animal is the monkey. She has never seen one in real life, but thinks that she would very much like to pet one.
