The Barbarian clashes with The Goddess! Veronika vs. Aisha

Veronika prepared herself for her second ever match in AFW, she hadn’t expected to be put on the sidelines for so long but you know how the saying goes: “patience is a virtue.” The Russian Amazon was unexpectedly excited for her match, she enjoyed meeting a tough opponent and over coming that challenge. Tonight was going to be great, she could feel it.

Fixing her boots and tying them tightly, she’d check the bandages around her arm, making sure they weren’t loose. She’d get into stance, seeing if her attire still felt comfortable from a fighting position. She’d throw a kick and then switch into throwing a punch. Yup, fit as a button. Sighing with relief, she was afraid it wouldn’t feel right anymore, if she were honest. With that situated she’d head toward the ramp, awaiting her name as she had once before. Nothing was going to stop her tonight.

Suddenly she heard her name and the theme she had picked out for her self over the speakers, stepping out from the currents, she’d step out with a calm yet dominant strut to her walk. She couldn’t help but wonder, what would her opponent be like? Would they be anything like Cicilia or would it be something new? Veronika wasn’t entirely sure which she’d prefer.

Climbing up to the ring, the brute of a woman would look out to the crowd. Veronika didn’t see herself as a people pleaser but she felt it was her duty to cover up her defeat with a victory. Any signs of mercy, any notions of weakness would be stomped down until they were nothing more than dust. She’d turn to the ramp, awaiting her opponent. This wasn’t going to end like it did with Cicilia, she would make sure of that. It wouldn’t be long before she got her rematch with her.

Aphrodite stretched out, taking one last sip of the now empty dixie cup on a spare speaker. She had gotten herself rather prim and proper for her next match, having talked with her manager for a bit on this one to get the scope on whom she would be facing. Four inches taller and about forty plus pounds heavier of near pure muscle. The heavy lifting type was just fast enough to make them a rather dangerous threat for their opponent and only one match to boot that ended in a defeat for this supposed uncouth barbarian, very close one to boot against an experienced opponent.

She'd get the call to come on stage, coming out dressed in a very ancient Greek style fashion, posing rather lewdly for the crowd and for her opponent. She was going to show this unwashed troglodyte how a goddess fought, with the power of her beauty, wits and brawn. Aphrodite strolled down the ramp to the ring, strutting around as if she owned the place.

"Veronika I presume," she asked, not seeming to actually care and somewhat looking as if she ignored her. She'd have to sue a bit more tact to fight her, very well unable to outright overpower her but maybe wear her down enough, out last this brute and make her submit like a good dog should. She'd start the playing the mind games immediately and canines were one such idea, "I do hope you are house trained?"

Veronika was a bit perplexed to see Aphrodite strut out with style so suddenly, posing lewdly, she could only grimace at the fact she was trying to swoon the crowd with her looks. The Russian couldn’t exactly say her feminine charms were anything but zilch, nada. Who’s find anything attractive about a brute built woman? Not that she cared.

As they entered the ring, it was plain to see that she’d be dealing with insults at immediately after meeting. The ex-solider was calm , tightening the bandage wraps along her arms. Redirecting her gaze to other things that actually mattered.

“If think calling dog is hurtful, then you are mistaken. Military call much worse.” she’d claim, flexing her fingers into a fist as she pumps herself up, ready to go. ”If you waste time then leave. It’s chance to prove myself, I won’t show mercy, mishka.” she adds, a bit of disdain in her voice.

"It appears you are not broken in then properly, not matter, I shall do so myself. Maybe a muzzle and a proper leash would do you good once I'm done with you. A fine pet, sadly this isn't a POW match unless of course," she said as she slowly prowled around the ring, circling ever so, "You'd like to raise the stakes ever so slightly?"

She smirked, stopping in her tracks as she raised her arms, "Either way after the bell rings, an uncouth barbarian like yourself is not match for a goddess such as myself. I simply perfection, like chiseled marble by the hand of a superior craftsmen," she wanted to agitate her, wither it worked was a different matter. The referee would quickly check her, finding nothing illegal in her revealing attire.

Up the stakes, huh? Now that was an idea. She couldn’t help but meet their pools at the notion of fighting for a cause with more than her pride on the line. “You talk big, Mishka. If you want up stakes in match, then I take up on it. Teach you lesson.” Veronika felt a fire raging in her gut, her instincts were demanding that she fight with all her might. Something about this woman seemed off to the Russian, like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Bah, if they were a wolf then she’d just have to be a bear. She cringed just a bit hearing their own self praises. Nothing said “I’m overconfident.” Then someone spouting off their own compliments. Veronika wasn’t the type to really pay it any kind, especially when she planned solely on crushing the competition. “I’m sure that what papa tells you. I’ll show you what barbarian can do to goddess, real soon.   she promised.

Cracking her knuckles, the brute would step toward to center. Her blood was pumping exciting her to battle, the thought of another cruel and grueling match fueled her ambition to win. She could feel it now.

"I suppose you'd want something after all in return. After all, you may be simple savage but I as a refined and educated goddess am rather fair to meet your needs upon my impossible defeat at your unkempt hands," she spook in a haughty and demeaning tone, really layering it in and driving the point home as she paced around the mat, assuming to take a stance akin to that of an American style that seemed more agile and energetic. Though smaller in stature her eyes were like a hawk to a mouse below.

The bell would ring and the match began, but instead of going straight at the barbarian Aphrodite would continue more or less what she was doing before the bell. She was still sizing Veronika up and from even a courser glance didn't want to taker her head on, "Regardless I shall show you your place proper."

“I...chto?” Veronika reverted back to her native tongue, visible confusion on her face. The barbarian was beginning to think that the two had different interpretations of POW. Still, the stakes were much higher now, pride aside, being captured and tortured (which was what she thought Aphrodite meant) didn’t sit well with her.

Her ruby pools followed the blonde sternly, the pacing about was a little nerve wracking, it was like she was being picked apart. Perhaps, they weren’t as stupid as she initially thought. The heavy metal amazon followed, keeping her distance to the max while observing her opponent. She was more than likely quick. Based on their form: she was light weight, and smaller. Probably lacking in power. Thinking back on her training, it was necessary to go up against all types of opponents. Learning how to deal and neutralize them while out on the field.

Veronika was certain that the blonde goddess would try to tire her out to win. The ex solider had to come up with a way to defend herself from getting roped into heir traps. Light fighters couldn’t hold out of heavy hitters got them first. She’d aim to do that and hide her time. “So can joke?” she asks, with her broken dialect.

Aphrodite would roll her eyes as she paced around, watching the barbarian from head to toe to see what exactly she would do. She didn't understand what she said in nor what she meant by the broken English. It was already ya rarity to find someone that spoke English at all here that wasn't a foreign worker, let alone one that was fluent, "I don't joke, this is off the record betting, your choice if you accept, I'd understand if you do not."

At that point she'd rush in close seemingly only to pull away in a teasing manner. She wanted to keep her guessing, never a moment where she knew exactly what the goddess was about to do, as if still toying with her. Aphrodite may be smaller but she had plenty of strength to endure if need be, she just had set herself up and not overextend herself too early or take any unnecessary damage or harm to her person. After all, blemishes such as bruises were ungoddess like.

Veronika couldn’t let herself back down. She was certain she just misinterpreted Aphrodite, maybe it was what she thought after all. Despite that, the Russian wouldn’t allow the thought of being a coward cross her mind. She grits her teeth. “Accept challenge.” She replies. Admittedly a bit hesitant than she felt she ought to be.

The rush impressed her, she didn’t expect them to attack but, Veronika was up to the task to meet her. As the blonde stepped in close, the ex solider would step in to meet her. Extending her reach to catch or take a swipe at her attacker only for them to pull back. A feint huh? Not a bad start, at least they proved they weren’t stupid or suicidal.

Instead of stepping back, the amazon decided to come to them. With her few extra inches in reach and mobility, the Russian would make an attempt to close the distance between them. The sudden bound covered a fair amount of ground against the would be goddess, and there was where she’d make her move.

Veronika would launch herself forward. Both hands ready to make the capture and the first blemish on their pale body. She felt she had to make the first strike count if she was going to win this thing. In her attempted launch; She outstretch’s her arms, both trying to find a target around their wrists. If she were successful, the amazon would then attempt to snake her leg around their calf , hoping to drive them off balance and onto the sharp point of her knee to start things off.

Aphrodite smirked as her plan came to fruition, watching as the barbaric woman stumbled forward with no grace at all to try and very obviously grapple her. What she didn't expect as her face contorted into a look of shock was the large brute of a woman to chase her down and in fact just barely catch her a she managed to snag her by the wrist, eyes darting down to the gripped appendage of her left wrist as she was then pulled in, knee slamming straight into her gut, gasping as the air was knocked out her. Her face pushed into her lower chest, legs buckling.

"F.f.f…. you... bitch..." she stammered out a she managed to take a few breaths. She wasn't going to be taken by surprise so easily however as she still had a free hand, taking no time to take her right hand for a punch to Veronika's face in a desperate fashion.
