Nekketsu Championship Tournament: Round 1: Leah Shaw vs Ami Takeuchi

" Oh, the Nekketsu Championship Tournament. What a splendid opportunity for us to take AFW by storm. After all, it doesn't matter who here holds the title as long as it one of us" Ami would say whilst she stepped out of the shower, naked with water dripping down her body. The supermodel would begin to towel off her hair first and then her body as she was preparing for her match in the Tournament against Leah, whom admittedly she had no clue about.

Still, she figured with her significant other in her corner and there was no way either of them were going to lose. "Isn't that right, Bryan?" she asked as she began to slip into her ruby red wrestling attire.

After the preparations and a few pointers of Bryan, the power couple of Tension was ready to go outside and kick ass. The supermodel along with her partner would wait in the gorilla position and once her theme cued, she would head out into the Tension arena. Despite her good looks and her time in Tension, the Tension crowd jeered her heavily but Ami didn't seem to care as she blew sarcastic kisses to her "fans".

Ami would make her way down towards ringside and would step up the steel steps and then make her way into the ring. Straight away she would make her way to the middle of the ring and take a crouched position, her hands on her thighs as she glared at the very ramp she and Bryan walked down from. With her bent position, the crowd behind her would get a perfect view of her plump ass.

Just a few jumping jacks and some stretches before the big match to get her blood pumping. She wanted to come out hot and make a good impression since despite all of the great opportunity she had been given against veterans like Beowulf and a slot in The Elimination Chamber, she had been coming up short lately. It didn't bother her too much, she had a similar outlook to things she had heard far wiser people say about learning more from defeat than victory. She couldn't recall if that was something she heard in a movie or something… but it sounded right and made her feel better about underperforming when she was thrown into the thick of it.

"Okay Leah. You just have to beat a former champion… in your first match. No pressure." She stared at a grim looking figure in her locker mirror. Serious Leah… she held the furrowed brow and determined stiff lip for awhile trying to envision who she would be if she were someone else, bigger, stronger, cooler.

Slowly she reached up, hands behind her head to pop two fingers up, scrunching them once then letting them spring up straight. Bunny ears. The blond tilted herself forward, casting long dark shadows across her face as she stared at herself in the mirror. "...and as the bell tolls, I will lay each competitor to rest."

She drew in a sharp breath, dismissing the spirit of someone darker, leaning back her fingers slipped through her hair, combing it back roughly. Slowly they worked their way back up to where the blond strands took root, covering them fully as she grit her teeth and mean mugged at herself in the mirror. "Or I can just take them to task. Trash'm all."

She gnashed her teeth a bit, trying to look the part but not dealing feeling it… maybe, as mask? She drew her hands down over her face, turning them upside down to place across her cheeks with looped.fingers for eye holes. She stood up straighter, puffed out her chest, tried to be bigger, scarier. Someone who could wrap other wrestlers into pretzels or slam someone through a ring… what she got was the distant sound of someone taking a shower in the back of the locker room. "Hrm."

She deflated slightly, arms falling to her side as she failed to summon form of inner badassery that would just pop into existence. She wasn't a showstopper like Death Bunny, brutally hard like River Styx, or a destroyer of planets like Dark Star Chaos. She was just Leah Shaw… even when she dressed up as one of her other ring gimmicks it was just pretend.

"Just do your best." She mumbled softly, lifting her head to peer at her reflection. She found herself already smiling back and reached up to tuck a few strands of hair behind her ear. She couldn't help but wonder how the others did it, stayed so grim and serious. That wasn't who she was, likely would never be. If that meant she would have to eat some more losses along the way, so be it. She would get better and stronger her own way without losing who she was. With a wide grin she shut her locker, scampering off from the locker room. Her match was soon.

Making her way onto the stage with a smile on her face and a bounce in her step, she was met with an amazing hot response from the crowd. While she hadn't been with Tension for the longest time or made the biggest impact in terms of being the next big thing, she had become something of an understated can favorite… as long as she wasn't along side her brother anyway. The fan reaction seemed to give her life, energized that much more by their cheers and applause.

Taking off in a run she charged down the ramp, pumping her arms furiously until she stepped into the ringside area. With a lunge, she threw herself beneath the ropes, gliding into the ring smoothly on her stomach. When she went to rise, she found herself within inches of Ami's face as her opponent had been mid ring and bent forward suggestively. Without thinking, the blond leaned up to Ami, booping their noses together before pulling back, hopping to her feet.

"For some reason I always imagine you would be taller than me. You're pretty average though. I think maybe it's just the whole "models have long legs" stereotype, maybe.." She mentioned rather offhandedly, seemingly comfortable enough in the ring to speak her mind without intimidation from sharing it with a former champion. Leah rolled a shoulder, clapping her hand onto her bicep as she grinned. "How long were you champ for before you lost it?"

"...that's right, Honey-Kitten. Just don't forget we have a date with the tanning beds later tonight."

Leaning far back in his chair with his feet on a an adjacent table and responding on automatic to her blue-haired boo coming out of the showers, the Model Athlete Bryan Daniels remained where right he was despite the fact that a mere glance in her general direction would grant him the captivating sight of a 10/10 vision of beauty undressed with water cascading down her flawless form. What nigh every red-blooded man can only dream a mere head swivel away, and yet B-RY was far too concerned with the pivotal task at hand, and in his actual hand. Experimenting with various Snapchat filters before posting yet another stunning photo of himself to social media, this particular being of him shirtless and showcasing his rippling bod at his fitness center yesterday. The light composition was beginning to be just right when all of sudden they got an obtrusive knock on the door signaling that Ami was due to gorilla position. B-RY kicking his legs off the table and following alongside his lady-friend, confident that Ami they'll be backstage in no time after putting this poser down for the count. No biggie, he'll post it no prob when they get back~...

Strutting out beside his equally flawless GF and adorned in his own fluffy-booted wrestling gear, Bryan tilted down his flashy aviator glasses to shoot these people a cock-eyed glance at all the flagrant uggos all around them. Although always taking in this expansive sight inwardly disgusted him to a certain degree, he always took the time to give his peepers a glance anyway. What better way was there to be more appreciative for his ungodly handsomeness than by comparing to this throngs of ravenous losers out there in dire need of a weight-loss plan and who were, no doubt, downright jealous of the flawless figures before them. Bryan popped back on his aviator glasses with a knowing smirk and proceeded to waltz down the ramp with his furry selfie stick in hand as he escorted Ami. Holding her hand as she climbed the steel steps before taking place at ringside beside her corner, taking out a fresh stick of mint gum and chewing it obnoxiously with clacking smacks as he uncharacteristically took his eyes off his phone for now to see who'd be Ami's first round win.

The only thing perfect about this evening would be her inevitable victory and her entrance down to the ring with her perfect boyfriend and tag team partner. Everything in between would be something that the supermodel could very well do without. She was not looking to wrestle a nobody like Leah, in her mind she was just looking to make a name for herself by entering into this prestigious tournament and wrestle someone like Ami.

The supermodel would blow kisses to Bryan from inside the ring and paid almost no attention to the blonde who made her way into the ring, it wasn't until the blonde wrestler would throw some taunting words towards Ami's way is when she turned around to face her opponent for the evening, already being pissed off by Leah's words.

"W-wha?! I AM TALLER THAN YOU, YOU LITTLE BRAT" she burst out, even though Leah was probably an inch shorter than her. Ami's face turned red in anger when she suggested that her reign as champion was quite short.

"You little...tch, I don't need to waste my time talking with the likes of you. I just need to put you in your place and then I, along with my perfect boyfriend, can leave this joint for more important matters" she said, moving her dreamy eyes back to Bryan for a moment.

The supermodel would once again shift her gaze towards her opponent, pointing at her. "Now then, lets get this over with" she said before raising her arms up and circling her blonde opponent.

Leah remained blissfully ignorant of the effects her words would have on the other woman, not intentionally taking pot shots at her but just making curious inquiries. Ami's initial scream took her by surprise, making her lean back and squint her eyes at the sharpness of her tone. The exchange left her blinking, rubbing at the back of her neck with mild confusion.

"Are you?" The blond inquired curiously, trying to gauge their heights from a distance. She may have lifted herself up a bit on her tippy toes to compare. "I dunno… We look about the same to me. Maybe you have cyborg eyes or something and can see these sorta things though. I remember reading models get a lot of stuff replaced." Leah gave a knowing nod as she dropped back down to the flats of her soles, smiling across the way at her opponent.

"Ooooo! Is there an after-party for the first round of the tournament or something you are going to after this? I totally didn't get an invite. If I beat you though, that means I get to go as well, right?" The young rookie chirped cheerfully, taking a bracing step back to ready herself for the match, arms coming up. Her stance slacked when her eyes drifted to follow Ami's, looking towards Bryan ringside. She closed one eye, face scrunching up as she recalled something she had seen with him.

Leah laid in bed, arms folded in front of her with her chin resting on top of them. She once again fallen down the YouTube rabbit hole and had been watching a steady stream of late night talk show clips while half nodding off. The mention of AFW from the host though got her attention though. It was Bryan, she was sure of it.

"It's like...people don't realize, or appreciate, the painstaking amount of time...money...and effort...that goes into keeping this Picasso pristine. You wouldn't deny Michelangelo his chiseling tools...or Shakespeare his writing quill. These are the tools those artists needed to create their masterpieces...and my tools, are the specific conditioners, hair gel, and exfoliating creams I need to look as gorgeous as always. So when some retail uggo hands me the wrong items, or suggests inferior brands...than I believe I'm well within my right to voice my opinion, about how much of a useless lardass they are. S'only fair in my eyes..."

Leah slipped back out of her reminiscent memory, a brow furrowed. "What makes him so perfect anyway? I mean, he's pretty cute, but he doesn't seem very nice. He said some pretty mean things about retail workers… I think you were there too. I don't remember what you said though… it probably wasn't important though. To the story I mean." Words just tended to flow from Leah as if a floodgate somewhere had been forced open, finding her speaking without thinking. She gave a small chuckle and a shrug before returning to her grappling stance. Unlike the blue haired girl, she stayed put in the center of the ring, shifting to face her as Ami circled.

The more Leah opened her mouth to respond to Ami's words, the more angry and pissed off the supermodel got. In her head she was thinking "WHO THE HELL DOES THIS BRAT THINK SHE IS?" whilst clenching her teeth and fists and stomping the mats.

Ami would aggressively point towards her opponent before responding, "HEY, HEY, HEY! You're not supposed to get on your tippy toes, that's not an accurate comparison" she yelled. The crowd were not certain why this was even bothering Ami and quite frankly neither did she, it just did bother her.

"Ohoho you little brat, this body is 'au naturel' she said doing her best french accent impression. "And oh nonononono! You're not going anywhere. Where me and Bry are going, is exclusive and not for people like you." she clarified.

Finally, the bell rang and the two were ready to wrestle. Ami was a bit annoyed that Leah decided to stay in the middle, inviting her opponent to make a move. The supermodel would do just that and would attempt to move in and lock up with her in a collar and elbow grapple, to test her opponent's strength.

The blond rookie casually rattled on, words flowing from her as freely as rushing water from a breached dam. The naturally chatty girl wasn't the most observant of people when it came to social queues, almost missing the clear cut signs of Ami's growing frustration. To her, it all seemed like an odd warm up routine before a match… to each their own.

"Huh?" Leah chirped innocently, immediately dropping back down onto the heels of her boots. Her cheeks puffed and eyes flicking from side to side as she childishly pretended she had not just been giving herself the height advantage, no matter how small it may have been. She was quick with a smile though, not letting being caught red handed bother her much at all. She was a bright little day of sunshine beside the raging inferno of Ami's fanned flames.

"Oh, yeah, I guess you might not be able to party much if I wind up beating you." Leah puffed out her chest a bit, flexing one of her arms. She brought a palm up and over to give her bicep a small clap. Her arm was surprisingly solid for how undefined her muscles seemed to be. "I'll bring you an ice pack or something. It'll be fine.."

Leah blinked at the end of Ami's comment though, giving the model enough time to move in and initiate a tie up. While the blond was more than happy to lock up, she seemed a pit perturbed. Rather than throwing all her muscle into the lockup, she focused on keeping it steady and unmoving, peering over at Ami. "What do you mean people like me? What kind of people am I?"

The supermodel was none too impressed by Leah and her innocence. She wasn't sure this was simply an act or was she really that much of an air-head. Ami knew a thing or two about the persona of an air-head, after all she pretended to be one in her modelling career just to please the fans.

However, those days were long gone and now she was a fierce competitor. She wasn't going to let a brat like Leah get the better of her in terms of wrestling ability or verbal jibe. "Hah?! You? Beat me! Haha, thanks for the laugh" she would say in a mean, spiteful way.

With that, the two locked up in a grapple and it was pretty much even. However, it seemed as if Ami was trying that much harder than Leah to push her back but was unsuccessful in doing so. "The low-class, arrghhh! Trash, ummrghh common, filth" she hissed in response before raising her knee up into the abdomen of her opponent. If that worked, Ami would wrap her arm around Leah's head to transition the grapple into a side headlock, squeezing her arm around that head whilst pressing her face against her boobs.

“Oh… um, it wasn’t meant to be a joke.” Leah blinked as both women tied things up. While she was more than happy to bring a smile or a laugh to her competition, she couldn’t help but feel Ami might not be taking her too seriously. She wasn’t sure why though. Leah had on all this sweet wrestling gear after all and had her fair share of experience in the ring, for a rookie anyhow. As she kept Ami at bay, a small smile crept across her lips, leaning a bit harder into their hold to start to push back at the blue haired girl to flex a bit of her muscle.

“That’s pretty rude…” Leah snorted softly, clamping her fingers down a bit rougher on Ami as the model struggled to gain ground. “Sounds like I’m doing pretty good so far though.” Leah chirped merrily, bubbling over with amusement at the fact she was already holding her own against a former champion.

Ami’s knee buried itself in her abdomen, a solid strike meeting a surprisingly solid body. Still, the blow was enough to knock the wind out of an unsuspecting Leah, making her lurch forward into her opposition. Bent forward, she stumbled easily into the transition, finding her head hooked by one of Ami’s arms to mash her face up against the side of her chest. The blond fought for balance, one leg up and flailing as she hugged her arms around the model’s waist for support, getting only a hard crank of the headlock for her troubles.

“Geh-uh... N-nice one!” Leah struggled to turn her head just enough to talk, preventing her face from being buried in the other woman's breast as her neck was twerked painfully from the hold. She twisted and tugged, trying first to jerk her head free to no real avail, Ami clearly knew what she was doing… which wasn’t really a surprise to anyone.

With a huff, Leah trudged forward, digging her shoulder into AMi’s back to try and force the other girl to move forward with her, trying to make the two of them walk forward but slowly transitioning into a run if she built up enough momentum. She was moving them to the ropes, getting them as close as possible before digging her boot heels in to try to abruptly stop herself. A hand slipped to Ami’s hip while another palm clapped itself down on the model’s rump to give her a firm shove, trying to send her into or through the ropes.
