Nekketsu Championship Tournament: Round 1: Stone vs Syd

"Hey! Ack! Well I...OOF! Ugh! I kinda was! I mean...you are the game, after all!" Sydney growled out jokingly as she struggled in Stone's front facelock. A positive attitude and some jokes weren't going to help her with this, though. She needed a plan for a counter attack or something! But soon enough, Stone would successfully manage to lift the fearsome she-monster up into the air. It didn't seem like the biker babe was gonna be successful at first. But then Syd's boot left the ground and she was sent up and over. The next thing she knew was the landing. Grunting out loudly, the man-eater would arch her back a bit from the pain of being slammed down hard on the canvas.

It wasn't everyday that Syd that got slammed down on her back like that. Sure Stone was bigger. But a few inches didn't seem like they'd be enough to throw her around. Having been proven wrong about that, the towering badass was ready to get a lot more serious. Still down on her back, Sydney would start to throw a few elbow shots to her side. Trying to hit Stone repeatedly in the ribs and hopefully soften her up some. Syd might not be able to get right back up after that Snap Suplex, but she could still swing her arm at the biker woman and give Stone plenty of hard elbow strikes in the meantime.

If Syd was trying to play mindgames with Stone, it was a noble attempt, but it wasn’t likely to get her too far. She roomed with Devine, after all, a woman was constantly at peak levels of lewd. A little rubbing and some provocative comments weren’t the sort of thing that was likely to ruffle her feathers. That being said, she was welcome to try it all she liked. It just gave her more opportunities to take control.

That was her gameplan, and it was one that seemed solid, as she managed to put her foe’s back on the mat and move over into a dominating position. Stone was even poised to try for a pin - she doubted it would work this early on, but it was worth a shot, if just to put a little fear in her opponent. What she wound up getting, however were a couple of hard shots in the ribs.

”Grah!” She cried out as she stumbled away from Syd, grasping her side and hissing. Surprise attack, too her off guard. Tricky.

Despite being slammed down hard, Sydney successfully managed to fend off her opponent. With some well placed elbow shots to the female biker's rib cage, the she-monster managed to fight off the woman after preforming the suplex. As soon as Stone released her grip and stumbled away to the side, Sydney would do the exact same thing in the opposite direction. Still a bit shaken by that snap suplex, the female brute would roll towards the ropes to get a little extra help to pick herself up.

"Oooff...nice slam..." Syd shouted over to Stone, complimenting her big hit as she slowly recovered her senses. But as she picked herself back up, the woman failed to realize that she had picked the 'enemy side' where Devine and Makoto were watching from. Jessica looked like she was about to shout something about it, but Linda realized that she wasn't going to warn Sydney. Instead, she was about to threaten the other spectators before they tried something. So, hoping to keep Jess from provoking them into actually doing something, the bulky woman wrapped her arms around the shorter woman and quickly latched her hands on her captain's mouth. Regardless Jessica was still trying to bark as she struggled with everything she had against Linda. "Its ok, it's ok! Syd's got this!" she said trying to calm someone who absolutely refused to be calm about anything.

Whatever her feelings on Syd’s choice of attire and the company she kept, Stone couldn’t deny the woman’s skill. The ache in her side was proof enough of what this woman had to offer, a stinging blow that wasn’t going to go away anytime soon. And after taking that suplex, too.

Stone was about to move in when she caught sight of Mako near Syd, starting to inch towards to the woman as she rose. The position would’ve been good for some interference, too - the referee was temporarily looking towards the Red Nation, wouldn’t have seen it. Just one quick hit might’ve been enough to turn the tide, and her fellow Valkyrie was clearly looking for her go-ahead.

Stone wasn’t about to give it, though. Instead, she broke into a run before Mako could interfere, looking to close the distance with her foe and push her hard into the rope. Once there, she’d pulled back, yank Syd’s arm, and attempt to send her running off to the other side of the ring with an Irish Whip, hoping to keep this match between the two of them, regardless of what their teammates thought on the matter.

Syd was a bit weary as she slowly pulled herself up. Simply letting out a chuckle at Stone, instead of a witty comment, was proof enough of that. Luckily, nobody outside of their fight could interfere. Stone would make sure of that as she rushed over and grabbed her fellow badass Goliath. Sydney of course had no clue about any potential trickery. Even though Jessica's muffled barks were still plenty loud, the somewhat... 'simple' she-monster didn't even take a look. She was so used to the woman's screaming that it barely surprised her anymore. Now it was basically just white noise. (Although Linda definitely minded since her hand was getting soaked from all those curses Jessica was spewing without end.)

Stone's rushed actions paid off, though, as she whipped Syd across the ring. But this wasn't really trouble for her. Not yet. In fact, Sydney could use this boost in speed to her advantage. Going along with it, she'd run towards the ropes and bounce back off them. That way she could run straight back towards Stone for some payback in the form of one huge running lariat!

Now that their teammates were settling down a bit, Stone could focus on the task at hand - namely, bringing Syd to heel. She was having a good run of it so far, but that didn’t mean things were going to last with so many volatile elements in place. The sooner she brought this to a close, the happier both parties would be. She had confidence in that much.

So her aim, as she threw Syd off into the ropes was to charge her and take her down with a lariat. Unfortunately, her opponent had pretty much the same idea.

She went forward, brought her arm up, swung it forward, and collided with Syd at the same moment that Syd collided with her, hammering her on the clavicle. The blow knocked the wind clean out of Stone and dropped her hard, planting her flat on the canvas and leaving her wheezing.

”Uh...that sucked.”

Well, Syd definitely succeeded. However, so did Stone. Both of the towering women ended up hitting each other with a lariat at the same time. This caused both of them to collide like trucks before landing down hard on their backs. "...Uuughh...really? I barely felt a thing..." Sydney groaned out, blatantly lying her ass off as she was hurting just as bad as Stone was. "Maybe...I should start calling you...pebble~..." the cocky woman added to provoke the biker brute even further.

Now that both fighters were down, the ref girl would start a ten count soon enough. But the she-monster didn't need a count to get her moving. Sydney would start to roll to her side soon enough. Was she doing so quickly? No. Not at all. However, she was far too stubborn to take rest. Even if it took some time, Sydney was going to get back up on her feet...especially before Stone did. Like most other things in her life, Syd was motivating herself by making it a competition. Not just the match they were in, though. Standing back up before Stone did was one of many victories that the towering man-eater strived for in her head. Meanwhile, Jess was slowly calming after both women got laid out. Even if Syd wasn't in control...she was happy enough that neither of them were doing too great.

Stone groaned, but not just as the pain - Syd’s joke was torture, too. ”Oh, shut the fuck up.”

The pain was the main concern, however. She’d been laid low by that blow, her world thoroughly rocked, but unlike her opponent she didn’t have any qualms with being the second one up or using extra help for that effort. She rolled to the ropes and pulled her way up, one after the other, leaning on them for support and making sure she rose with her wind recovered. It wasn’t a pretty recovery, but it got the job done, and most importantly, it put her in a good position to make something out of it.

She pushed off the ropes with some extra bounce and closed in on her opponent, taking two big, sloppy strides to close the distance. Stone’s her foot up and shot it out with a rough kick aimed at Syd’s stomach, trying to drive her towards the corner and work from there.

"Heh...then fuck me yourself...you coward!" Sydney shot right back with a somewhat pained chuckle. She was pretty sure Stone here was gonna be all business in the ring tonight, but that didn't mean she had to stop making jokes about it. As soon as both women were back up it didn't take long at all for the action to resume. Stone started things off with two big swings at the she-monster. Syd managed to defend both blows with her forearms. Successfully keeping the biker's big hits from doing much damage.

However, Stone had a third strike in store and that one caught Sydney off guard. The woman drove her boot into her midsection, knocking the towering she-beast back into the with a brief stumble corner. Her breasts bounced about from the sudden impact against the turnbuckles, accompanied by a grunt as the air shot out of her lungs. The red-clad behemoth would use the ropes to prop herself up on her feet, but she was very aware of how dangerous this position was for her. So, when Stone came at her again, Sydney planned to throw her leg up so that she could give the biker babe a kick in the gut to back her off.

Stone was still hurting from the crash, but she was getting her wind back fast enough, and managed to get in more power with that kick than even she’d expected. The blow not only knocked Syd back, but got some good distance, too, putting her firmly in the corner and leaving her open. It was a window - not a big one, but a window. She just needed to move in before it closed.

Plant your feet. Brace yourself. Move.

Stone charged forward with a powerful stride, moving as fast as she could with her form, turning herself into a freight train. She would’ve done some good damage if she’d connected, readying a splash to crash into her opponent. It would’ve done some good damage if it had hit, but unfortunately Syd’s foot had other plans. It lodged itself into her stomach at exactly the worst moment, turning all of that momentum against her in a bad way and knocking the wind clean out of her body.

Stone dropped to a knee after the impact and was left gasping and coughing in front of Syd. She started to push up soon enough, wanting to get back into a fighting stance before Syd could capitalize, but she had little hope on that possibility.
