And, apparently, the fact that the former champion now looked like a corpse was enough to start the count. Sand Lizard clenched its fists and jaws, and then with an effort rose to its feet. Unable to keep steady, she staggered and fell to one knee, but then she rose again.

The girl brought her knees together in order to find at least some balance and turned to the Amazon. Alaina continued to lie motionless, while the score continued. Charlotte's heart was beating faster and faster. It seemed to her that now her heart is not in her chest, but somewhere in the throat. All the Frenchwoman could think of was that her powerful rival would finally be downstairs. They both rose too many times today. It must be the end.

Charlotte's body shook. Someone might say that exhaustion affected her so much, but the truth was that after everything that had already happened, she could not believe what was happening. This was the third meeting for them. And each time was tougher than the previous one. So now, bleeding and sweating, the pink-haired girl was not sure that...

It was silence. Charlotte stopped trembling, and her pupils dilated. And she did this, following her code. Charlotte's lips quivered, and then she finally realized what just happened. She overpowered her rival and was the one who remained on her feet. Sand Lizard smiled broadly at the audience, accepting their congratulations.

- I did it! - quietly but joyfully she said.

And immediately after these words she fell to her knees, unable to keep herself on her feet anymore. The powers finally left her, this match was too exhausting. And then her gaze fell on Alaina still lying motionless. Charlotte, overcoming the pain, crawled to her rival in order to shake her shoulder.

- Alaina? - Charlotte asked. - Alaina, hey... can you hear me?

She intended to turn Amazon on her back, and then lay her head on Charlotte's hips. The Frenchwoman laid one hand on Alaina's forehead, and the other on her shoulder. Charlotte, of course, was not a qualified physician, but during her travels she gained certain skills and knew that it was necessary to raise the head of a person who is unconscious. Glancing at the battered Alaina, especially her face, Charlotte once again realized how hard it was for both of them. She was glad of her victory, but right now she didn’t even think that Alaina’s past words had finally become true. Now she was going to be there until her rival wakes up... or until a medical team will arrive for her... although she hoped things weren’t so bad...

Charlotte felt a little relieved when Alaina finally opened her eyes. It was a good sign, indicating that her condition was definitely not critical. The Frenchwoman smiled slightly when the Amazon said her words, accepting Charlotte's victory. She could only hope that, like Charlotte last time, Alaina did not feel resentment. Sand Lizard remembered well that they perceive their defeats differently, but ultimately it only makes them both stronger.

- Yes... I did, - Charlotte said wearily, and when Alaina tried to get up, the Frenchwoman added: - hey, be careful.

When the American girl tried to rise with the help of ropes, she was surrounded by medical trying to persuade her to lie on a stretcher. But Alaina rejected this, trying to rise on her own, even if it is clearly visible that she does not have the strength to do this.
