[Standard Match] Charlotte Ravel' vs Ayumi Sato (D) - Pride And Prejudice

- You still haven't opened your school? - asked Victoria.
- Yes, - Charlotte said shortly.
- But why?

In fact, Victoria knew the answer to this question. She was the manager and to know the answers to any questions that might have been asked to her wards, this is one of her duties. And yet she tried to bring Sand Lizard into conversation, she was not going to conduct a full-scale psychological session, but nonetheless. But Charlotte knew that Victoria knew the answer, so the Frenchwoman did not consider it necessary to answer. The master of martial arts finished her warm-up and put on her thin blue gloves.

- You have to pull yourself together, you have responsibilities that you must fulfill. Your students are afraid that you will close the school due to wrestling, - the manager said in a more austere tone.

Charlotte rolled her eyes, clenching her jaw. She still has not recovered from her defeat. Despite the fact that Charlotte was well aware that no one could defeat absolutely everyone, she was furious. She was angry with herself. She did not use everything she was capable of, and this led to her defeat. The girl have humiliated herself and no matter how much she meditated after that, the anger did not recede. Now a thick darkness flowed from her soul.

- Everything will be all right, - she said shortly.

Victoria wanted to say something else, but Charlotte did not let her do it, the girl left the locker room, heading for the curtains. It was not a shameful loss, she knew that she fought well. But she could win. She could, but she lost. And it destroying her from the inside. No matter how much she heard the words that she was a worthy rival and that she would have a great future, for her it was only words. Only victory proves that you are a worthy rival and that you will have a great future.

Charlotte stopped in front of the curtains and rubbed the knuckles of her left hand, her skin had already healed, but the phantom pain still haunted her. She should not have done what she did right after that ill-fated match. Sand Lizard took a deep breath and tried to throw away all these negative thoughts, she should not have allowed her emotions to influence today's match.

Her music started and the girl came out from behind the curtains. She made several punches in the air to the beat of music, and then raised both hands up, welcoming each viewer. Despite the fact that Charlotte was definitely not a bright and expressive person, here she gained fans, because her skill and a certain nobility in relation to her rivals really deserved respect from the audience. She was dressed in her classic outfit: burgundy pants, sneakers and two sports bras. To loud applause, the Frenchwoman descended the ramp, and then swept under the bottom rope.

Having risen to her feet, the girl stepped into the middle of the ring and waved a hand to the audience in all four directions until her music ended. The girl greeted the referee, shaking her hand, and then headed to her corner. It was a debut match for her rival, whose name was Ayumi. Despite the fact that Charlotte did not know anything about this girl, she, despite all her negative thoughts, hoped that this would be a good match, because in the end, the whole point of Charlotte was that she fought because fights are the meaning of her life. The girl leaned her back against the corner, she could only wait until her today's rival entered the ring.

- I've got a really good feeling about this, - Sand Lizard whispered softly to herself.

Ayumi had not paid much attention as her opponent made her entrance, or really had done much in the way of "preparation" for the match itself. No, the real goal for her was to create a dazzling match that would simply blow the minds of the AFW fans and announce her arrival to the scene.

Being it was also her debut to AFW, she needed to make the great first impression.

So, with a couple of technicians to act as her "volunteers" she had been working on a secret project backstage. Whatever it was it seemed to involve a bit of wire work, some pyrotechnics and lots and lots of fabric as she had worked on whatever it was she wanted to display for hours now.

Her opponent, this Charlotte girl, Ayumi had not given much thought. She already presumed her victory so the flair of the entrance had been the important part as she was given her cur and with a grin the magician moved under what seemed to be some sort of large object covered with a white sheet that had been wheeled out but the same pair of attendants.

Ayumi's Theme:

Ayumi's theme played as the mystery object was rolled onto the entrance stage, on cue the two attendants removed the sheet and revealed what seemed to be a giant top hat. The attendants moved away as the crowd seemed a bit confused, that was until the top hat began to spin around as the top "opened" up and this purple smoke was released which seemed to add a mysterious atmosphere.

Soon enough, the magician herself revealed herself at the top of the hat as the spinning stopped and she faced the crowd with a toothy smirk. Yeah, this played out just as cool as she imagined!

Course, when she moved to get off the top hat, her snagging on her cape and falling face first on the ground had not gone according to plan. Still, she made the most to roll with it as she quickly got up and dusted herself off as she muttered "I meant to do that" to an amused crowd before she struck a pose and then made her way down the entrance ramp. Ayumi moved with a confidence to her step as she made her way up the steel steps and walked through the middle rope entering the ring as she struck a pose; flipping her cape in dramatic fashion as she twirled her magic wand in the air.

Ayumi turned to her opponent and "tipped" her literal hat to her before she moved to her corner as she removed her magician gear and prepared for the match ahead of her.

Ayumi Attire:

For better or worse, Ayumi had put much of the pre-match preparation into her own performance. Once that seemed to work enough to entertain the crowd and even get a round of applause from her upcoming opponent. Which caused the wanna-be magician to beam with excitement as she managed to just contain herself and focus as she turned to that would-be rival of hers.

And because she only focused on the pre-match entrance, she had no idea what her opponent was like or what to expect from her. So to see this stern almost scary looking girl clap for her threw her off, as her act of respect as she bowed and offered her hand as she expressed her wish for a good match.

Ayumi could not help but smile, revealing that little "fang" of hers as she took a moment to swallow her "ego" as she went to shake her hand in kind.

"Of course, I hope we have a splendid match. Though don't be upset when I bring you to school." Ayumi said, as she tried to mix in some competitive trash talk though botched the saying "school you" though either way she moved to her corner ready and waiting for the referee to ring the bell to begin.

Ayumi in turn had taken a moment to look over her opponent and give her own thoughts to her. THe girl seemed to be some weird mixed bag, like she seemed so intense and focused. Like she woke up perpetually on the wrong side of the bed or had something inside her boot that annoyed her.

On the other hand, she seemed to be respectful enough and as they shook hands perhaps that scary look was part of the show. Though for a girl who called herself a lizard she seemed to lack scales had been a disappointment to the magician who maybe had taken the nickname a bit too literally. Either way the bell sounded and the match had gotten underway.

Ayumi got into her make-shift stance as she moved cautiously as Charlotte advanced to her position; her arms raised which made the magician think she was going for some sort of strike with the fists. Which left her vulnerable to that kick that struck her side as Ayumi yelped out in pain before she moved to the corner to get some space between her and Charlotte.

This girl was dangerous, that much was clear. And tricky...

Ayumi really had not much of a direct plan once she got to the corner. Well beyond trying to shake out the stiffness in her leg from that stinging blow of the self called "lizard" girl while she worked on a new plan of attack. But she had little time for either of these goals as the girl advanced at her at a steady but calculated pace. As if this woman was some hunter scouting out her prey which caused Ayumi to stand on edge in the corner.

It had not taken Charlotte long to close the distance as Ayumi was now cornered. A sweat drop rolled unseen in the back of her head as the self-professed magician wrestler began to regret her move to the corner. But it had been too late to pull back now as she focused on what the girl aimed to do and that had not taken long to figure out as without warning a sudden jab flew from the left aimed right for the girl's face!

Shit!

On impulse, and with a shocking amount of reaction speed & agility, Ayumi moved her face to the right side as she just avoided the jab as it smacked the turnbuckle behind her head. Though she was far form out of the woods as Charlotte aimed to try and pummel her in the corner with a relentless combo that made Ayumi's eyes as wide as clocks as she panicked dodge to the best of her ability.

And shockingly, it seemed to work! By the very skin of her teeth she managed to adjust her waist to avoid the uppercut aimed to the right side of her gut as it smacked the turnbuckle behind her lower back. And she managed to duck as the air from her left hook just sailed past her hair as she managed to avoid it. While she managed to escape the combo by the thinnest of margins she needed to get space to get out of this corner before her nifty dodges inevitably failed her. So she lifted up her legs using the ropes for leverage as she tried to push back Charlotte against her gut.

Ayumi took a moment to catch her breath, that entire effort to avoid each and every blow she tossed her way was a bit tense so she needed to breath. While her frantic dodging had managed to cause her to avoid the worse, it was far from a "polished" evasion though it seemed that Charlotte seemed to believe otherwise.

Either way, she successfully managed to get some distance between herself and Charlotte as she kicked her aside and managed to both get some space and even a bit a praise, which instantly caused Ayumi to be composed as she flipped her hair like those dramatic anime characters and offered a toothy smirk.

"Why thank you, I do have a natural talent in avoiding shifty situations." Ayumi said, rolling with this idea it was all be design though regardless of whether it was true evasive art work or just happy frantic accidents her agility and reaction speed was one thing to note. And given that she seemed to have the speed edge, or least a presumed one, Ayumi figured if anything she could use that to her benefit.

She would move out of her corner, with a slight spring to her step, as she hopped and worked to move around Charlotte trying to keep the striker off footing. Ayumi knew she had some scary hooks so if she could keep her guessing or where she was gonna strike or when she could perhaps throw off her timing.

Least, that's how it worked in a video she watched during her high school years training.

Either way, she aimed to try and circle around her. One, then twice...then a third, as she tried to make it seem she could come from any area and just when she hoped that Charlotte would have her guard caught unaware she would lung aiming to a rear waist lock to pull her in close.
