Athena Wonders vs. Stone - Heroine Worship

Stone found herself in the gorilla position, getting in some last minute stretches before the match proper began. A twist here, a pull there, working out those pesky last minute kinks. Nothing to intensive, and an untrained eye might think the match she was getting ready for was no big deal - just another random bout between two women in the AFW, a little something to fill out the rough edges of tonight’s card. Nothing serious.

And it probably wouldn’t be to most people. Not to the crowd. Not to the people bustling about around her. Not to the person she was about to face, most likely.

But to Stone, it was the most important match of her - admittedly short - career. She was finally getting to go against a woman she’d wanted for the longest time: Athena Wonders.

She’d been following the woman for a long time, before she even came to Japan, before she’d even joined the military. Aside from finding her sexy as hell, it was always good to see a woman of similar stature being so successful and showing off her power in the ring, proof positive that Stone’s size was a benefit that she could lean on. As small as it was, that was the spark that would lead her to considering wrestling years later, and well, here she was.

Would she still be a wrestler if Athena Wonders didn’t exist? Maybe. Maybe not. But the chances certainly lowered with her out of the equation. So, in a way, this was a chance to bring everything full circle. And the best part about it was that she didn’t have to worry about her fellow Valkyries mucking things up. Devine was on a date and Makoto was checking out some new slasher flick. No run-ins, no interference, it would be just the two of them.

‘Eager’? Yeah, that was a good way to describe her mood at the moment, and the crowd could see it in her face as she made her way out, nearly skipping down the ramp, not even bothering to come out on her motorcycle and eschewing the Valkyrie’s custom. She hopped up the stairs, jumped over the top rope, and promptly strode to her corner. As much as she liked hearing ‘Highway to Hell’ blaring over the loudspeakers, she was ready for it to end and her opponent’s music to start. The sooner they got this going, the more time they’d have for the actual match, and she planned to savor every moment.

Athena Wonder was getting ready for her match for tonight, and this time, she would be wrestling in Tension, as opposed to the usual Friction. Whichever it would be, Athena was fine, as she was ready to face whoever it would be in the ring. Clad in her signature red-and-gold spandex wrestling outfit, which showcased her frame, Athena was ready to make her entrance. Soon, she was called by the worker, receiving a cue that it was her turn to make her entrance. Donning a confident smile, the Eighth Wonder stepped out as her music was played.

Athena Wonder:

As for her entrance music, there was a funny story behind it. For those who had been following the Eighth Wonder's illustrious career, they would recognize the music as the one that was most associated with her, but due to copyright reason, AFW was unable to use it for her entrance in this promotion. While she didn't care much about it, when AFW managed to secure the right to use the music, Athena couldn't help but feel nostalgic. The Eighth Wonder made her way down the ramp as the triumphant theme song was played, reminding those that the she was there to show her might.

Soon, Athena made her way into the ring, and she would take a look at her opponent for tonight. It seemed that the two of them had similar builds, though she didn't know her opponent's true capabilities just yet. Still, it would be unwise to underestimate the woman before her. Still donning her confident smile, Athena decided to speak to her opponent just a little. "Well, hope you can keep up with me, kid. Show me what you got." She said as she rolled her shoulder while waiting for the referee to start the match between the two of them.

Huh. You know, it was funny, really. Stone knew how tall Athena was. She knew that she had an inch or two on the woman, not even counting the difference in their hair. But, somehow, she’d always imagined that they were the same height. It was surreal to have her here, to be in front of this legend of a woman, and to actually have to crane her neck down to look at her. Not that it mattered in the least, but it was weird to think how perception and reality could diverge.

Just a fun thought. Back to reality, where Athena stood across from her while her music - her original music, which put a smile to her face. A little smirk that wouldn’t go away, despite her attempts to dampen it.

She rolled her shoulders as well, getting nice and loose. It had been a while since she’d had the opportunity to deal with an opponent on her own size and strength. Even in Tension, where she routinely took on male opponents, she went in with more muscle and inches than the guys. Dealing with someone who could at least come close to matching her was a rare treat.

But how close did she come? One way to find that out. ”If you insist.”

Stone brought her hands up as the bell rang and moved in the moment things become legal, looking to lock horns with Athena and push her back with a Collar-And-Elbow. She didn’t throw her all into the move, not just yet, wanting to get a good sense for what sort of power her opponent have. Seeing and experiencing it could be wholly different things.

Athena studied the woman before her, thinking what she was capable of. She knew nothing about her except her name, though she would certainly learn about her as soon as the two of them got engaged with each other in this match. The moment the bell was rang, Athena would move forward, locking up with Stone in a collar-and-elbow tie up.

Just like her opponent, she also didn't go all out so that she could ascertain the power her opponent had. Though the two of them entered some sort of stalemate, where none of them were having any advantage over the other. Athena would try to shimmy to the side, hoping to see if she could use Stone's strength against her while the two of them were still locked up in the collar-and-elbow. Her muscles would tense as she would try to add more strength while engaging her opponent in the lock up.

The power of Athena Wonders. The power that had left countless opponents crushed in the ring. Those legendary, sculpted muscles. Maybe not as magnificent as they once were, but still an incredible sight.

Stone was not disappointed.

She planted her feet, nice and firm, as Athena began to exert more and more pressure, threatening to push her back if she didn’t raise her own power to match. Veins swelled. Her arm surged. Bones tensed and cracked, as if they could give out at any second. She was giving the woman the best she had to give, but she wasn’t 100% sure who would come out on top of this exchange, if she would wind up faltering or if this would lead to a stalemate.

She had other options, though, and they were what she went for. Dipping down, she abruptly broke out of the clench and to whip around Athena and catch her in a waistlock from behind, pulling her in nice and tight.

It looked like their lock up had entered a stalemate for the time being, and Athena would try to figure out a way to break the stalemate. But before she could come up with something, Stone suddenly broke the lock up and slip to her back before she caught her in a waist lock from behind.

Of course, being a veteran, Athena wouldn't lose her wit. She could either try hitting Stone's head with her elbow, but then, she decided to do something else. As she was being subjected to the rear waist lock, the Eighth Wonder would try to lower her center of gravity by bending her knees before trying to catch Stone's head, trapping her in a side headlock.

If successful, the mature blonde would try to drop herself down onto the mat into a sitout position, hoping that gravity and her own weight would help her out to bring Stone alongside her. She knew that if she could get her opponent on the ground level, she would be able to gain an upper hand over her.

It was a small thing, just a waistlock, but Stone had some small pride at pulling it off. She practiced as much as she could, but finding sparring partners was a continual problem. People had low trust for the Valkyries, even with Blue Thunder Mask taking over and the group going straight, they always expected her to trick them and beat them up. Devine was getting to be a better wrestler these days, upping her game a bit after a lusty confrontation with a certain oily redhead, but she still leaned a bit too much to the hentai side of things. Makoto didn’t have much patience for fighting that wasn’t real.

This was one of the rare opportunities she’d have to test her skills, and she’d relish it.

She started to dip, looking to hit Athena with a suplex, but the woman was one step ahead of her, showing her superior reflexes. Her lowered center of gravity killed the move in its crib. Instead, she found herself trapped in a side headlock, clamped tight and locked down in an iron grasp and brought to the mat under her weight.

Stone gritted her teeth hard and tried to push her way up, hoping to at least get to her knees. Her ground game was her weakest area by far, doing all of her best work standing, and the sooner she got back to that, the better.

Athena managed to bring her opponent down onto the mat while trapping her head in a side headlock. With her now seated on the canvas and her opponent grounded, the blonde veteran would then try to capitalize on this by wrenching at her opponent's head, looking to weaken her with the hold. Still, she knew it wouldn't be enough to make her opponent tap, at least not this early. She would maintain the hold for a few more seconds before she decided to try something else.

After trapping Stone in the grounded side headlock for a while, Athena would then maneuver herself onto Stone's back while her hands were still on the other woman's head. This time, she would have her arm wrapped around Stone's head while she was seated on her back before yanking the head backwards, subjecting her to a camel clutch and sleeper hold combo, though she didn't drape Stone's arms over her knees to complete the camel clutch.

Stone had been in quite a few headlocks, but this was undoubtedly one of the best she’d ever suffered through. Secure. Tight. Using a fair bit of flexibility. Difficult to escape, even with someone of Stone’s not inconsiderably amount of power. What was more, it gave her the chance to feel the breasts that she’d been wanting to rub against for years. All in all, this match was a worthwhile pursuit already, whether she won it or not.

But she wanted to win. Unfortunately, Athena had other ideas, ideas that involved her getting placed on the floor and bent back into an unkind shape, all while she had the air squeezed clean out of her throat. The camel clutch was far from the most devastating thing she’d suffered through, but she had little desire to remain in it for long.

Digging her nails into the canvas, she tried to drag her way across the ring, reaching out for the ropes...and her salvation.

Placing her opponent into the camel clutch and sleeper hold combo, Athena would keep squeezing her opponent's neck while cranking her upper body up and backwards. She could feel that Stone began to move towards the ropes, and she would like to keep putting her under pressure while she was at it. She knew that if her opponent remained in the hold for long, she would be weakened enough that the blonde wrestler would be able to handle her much easier after this.

It would take a while, but eventually, Athena would release her opponent as soon as she reached the ropes. She would give Stone's neck one last squeeze before releasing her, giving a hard pat on her back before getting herself off, walking back as she watched her opponent carefully. The crowd cheered for the Eighth Wonder, and she raised her arm to rouse the crowd, getting more pops from them.
