How was it even possible that hearing Roxy speak was making his bruises worse?

Gin couldn’t help but ponder that the longer she stood there with this ‘cooler-than-thou’ air of indifference emanating from her. It was the kind of perpetual confidence that most rookies had beaten out of them after their first honest bout. Their mutual friend seemed to be a special case. She had that look down to a science and it seriously wouldn’t surprise him if every inch of it was rehearsed. Unlikely, but it wouldn’t have shocked him.

It seemed to be getting the desired reaction out of his pupil. Whether Masuyo realized that or not, it didn’t matter. Her spirit wasn’t going to bend here. Not to someone like this.

“You wish.” She growled at the greenette. A sudden thump from behind stopped her mid-sentence and forced her gaze over her shoulder. She looked down to see Gin sat on the floor, an arm over his knee as droplets of blood fell from his face to the floor.

“Gin!” She leaned down next to him and reached a hand out to his shoulder, trying to get a better view before his hand came up and slapped it away. Her hand retracted and eyes wide with surprise before his steely gaze met her own. “You always get like this. This doesn't have to be your damn fight. Stay out of it and walk away.”

Masuyo seemed to soften for a moment. The tension in her body left her with her defenses lowered for a small instant in time. When they returned, the resolve written upon her face was all the more pronounced, spoken in every inch of the solemn glare. “I know its not. And I don’t care. One way or another...”

She turned to look back at Roxy, the faintest hint of that insatiable smirk forming on her lips. “...I’m going to fight you.”

Shaking her head a bit as the silver haired man dropped onto the floor again, shaking her head as she would place her hands upon her hips again. Watching at the raven haired woman moved to his aid and let out a bit of a sigh. She would watch Masuyo to look back up at her with that fain smirk.

" Oh well...I think I'm done here for today then." Roxy said as she shrugged her shoulders and look down at Masuyo. " Guess I'll see you in the ring, that's if you don't chicken out when you come to your senses." Roxy chuckled out as she would turn and walk out of the cage. Grabbing her hoodie on her way out.
