Whose Gym Is This Anyway?

Alaina was caught totally off guard as Valley ducked low. The speedy woman thrust a shoulder forward into the sternum of Alaina causing the wind to get knocked out of the larger woman! Alaina coughed and staggered back a few steps, doubling over as she hobbled about giving Valley the opening she was aiming for!

Ramming into Alaina like this was probably one of the most unValley things Valley could do - not elegant, not fast, not crisp, not high-risk, not anything but a wild, desperate move...but it worked. Couldn’t argue with results. She wanted an opening and now she had one, something to stop the Amazon from steamrolling her. What to do with it, though?

As Alaina staggered away, Valley made her move. She leaped towards the taller woman, pounced up towards her, wrapped her hands around her neck and brought up both of her legs, placing them against her chest. From there, it was just a matter of letting gravity do the rest - she’d fall back, pull her opponent with her, hit the ground and make Alaina’s chest crash into her knee.

A Codebreaker. A little early to be busting out such a high level move, but she was of a mind to even things up as much as she could. Alaina was in fine form, today.

Alaina was staggered and saw Valley coming. As usual it was very hard to tell what Valley was going to do until it happened, and this was no different! Alaina was grabbed and falling forward before she could brace herself at all Valley brought her chest crashing down onto her knees!

Alaina moaned loudly falling to the mat ina heap, wheezing as the air was crushed out of her! Alaina was on the mat and clearly a mess writhing and gasping for air in her struggle to recover from a tremendous blow!

The move connected and came through, dropping Valley to the floor and leaving Alaina sprawled out beside her. Despite being the one who’d delivered the move, however, Valley felt like she was the one in worse shape, here, with her foe suffering her first real attack of the match. The Amazon would be up soon, there was no question of that. Goliath was far from slain.

Rolling over to her side as quick as she was able, Valley moved over Alaina’s body, grabbed her leg, and leaned into her for a pin, hoping it might be enough to get the win if she was quick enough and locked it in before she knew what was happening.

”1…!”

Alaina groaned as the pin count began, her chest burning with pain feeling like her lungs were on fire. She felt Valley atop her and keeping her down as the first pin attempt of the spar by Valley was a good one! Alaina groaned as the count reached two, although at that moment Alaina let out a loud scream as she arched her back, bridging her way out of the pin! She hoped to thrust into the bridge hard enough to make Valley roll off her, and the distance would help as Alaina began to struggle her way back up to her feet to face Valley, not wanting to be caught off guard against such a crafty foe!

The pin didn’t work. That was okay. That was fine.

It wasn’t really about getting Alaina down, anyway. Valley knew it was far too early to be getting that sort of thing, and that it would be a longshot at best. It might’ve worked when they first met, when she was the veteran taking on the fresh talent, but this Alaina was far too experienced, too canny for that sort of trick to have any ground.

Valley was sent rolling away, flopping to her back as the Amazon’s legendary strength worked its magic. She pushed her way up, ignoring her body’s protests, and closed the distance to swing her leg out fast, trying to hit her opponent with a stiff roundhouse kick to the chest, hoping to put her right back down.

Alaina stood up and took the kick right across her chest! "Aaaarrrrgggghhhhhh!" Alaina howled as she hobbled back, swaying as she back pedaled but managed to stay upright! Alaina shook her her head and let out a loud scream, rushing back at Valley and stepping in to smash her in the chest with a retaliatory forearm smash!

There! Got her!

The kick landed, nice and clean and crisp, hammering against Alaina’s chest like thunder and forcing her to stagger. It was a good one, she could feel the impact all the way through her body, and it gave her the exact opening she was looking for. Now, all she had to do was fill that gap.

Valley rushed in  and raised her leg, looking for another kick, only for Alaina to close the gap before she had a chance and swing out with a faster blow. The forearm caught Valley right on the chest, perfect retaliation, and sent her flopping to the floor, hard on her back, the wind driven clean out of her body. Hissing at the pain, she flopped over to her stomach and started to push up, but it was slow going - Alaina had tagged her well.

Valley was pushing herself up off the ground as Alaina rubbed her chest, still very sore from that kick! As Valley was rising Alaina ran right at her, trying to build up some momentum. The amazon jumped into the air, leaping right at Valley as she aimed a running cross body block right at her! Alaina's goal was to flatten her to the mat and remain atop Valley but she knew how quickly her plans changed in the most painful ways possible whenever she faced this woman in matches or spars. Still, Alaina was rolling and she didn't want to give up any momentum to Valley.

She recalled just how devastating Valley on a roll was, the end of their entropy title match painfully clear in her mind.
