Johanna Vogel vs. Vanessa York

A clash of styles? Sure, if that was what people wanted to call it, Vanessa wouldn’t stop them. Johanna seemed super proud of her legs, showing them off every chance she got, so it wasn’t a big surprise that kicks would be the order of the day. Truth told, that wasn’t really a top thing in her mind. Kicks, grapples, punches, she would deal with whatever came her way.

It wouldn’t be an easy task, though, as she could feel the power and speed in those legs when they clipped her. She was able to get her feet flat well enough, sure, but there was a hidden warning in there. She got the impression she hadn’t really seen what her opponent could do, not at full blast, not yet. Definitely not something she wanted any part of, and a good reason to maintain her ideal range.

Kicks were slower. Kicks could be telegraphed. Kicks could be punished.

And here came her chance to prove that. Vanessa closed in fast, striking with a swift kick that crashed against Vanessa’s thigh and almost brought her down to a knee, a solid blow. Johanna seemed to see her advantage, too, as she came in for a higher swing.

Vanessa was ready for this one, however. She ducked low, weaved to the right, let it sail overhead, harmless. When she came out on the other side, she had a little treat waiting for Johanna as she sprung out and threw a right hook directly at her face, coming in strong from the side.

It seemed to be devoid of that, but if it was going to go that way then Johanna wasn't going to complain. It does, at the very least, give her the chance to show her stuff, getting in on Vanessa after rocking her noggin hard and looking to keep her on the backfoot. Of course, she was proud of her legs. She worked hard, all the gymnastics and weight training honed her body well for combat. There was much more for her to show, but she needed to soften this red giant up so she could get to the more "special" stuff she had in mind for her debut.

The satisfying smack to her thigh was good, the first kick to her combo worked well. Almost too well in fact, as she nearly brought her down to a single knee. Perhaps she should target those more often. Chop her down to size. But the next one would be even better, a good body shot isn't one to take lightly. It's not all about aiming for the head, vulnerable as they may be. You gotta work for that.

But Vanessa showed more of her experience as the German's leg flew over her, completely missing the target entirely. Things would get bad to worse for the brunette, however, as Vanessa struck hard with that right hook to the side of her face, snapping her head away from the direction the punch came, stumbling onto one knee where her kick almost achieved such a thing. A hand placed on where her fist struck, worse than the punch near her eye. Johanna cannot afford to take more of those punches, that much she knew. Gonna have to do something about those...

And another good hit. Vanessa was liking this.

Those kicks of Johanna’s were something to fear, she knew that, but she could tell that this woman had a rhythm to her fighting style, that she was all lower body. Neat tricks, and kicks could be dangerous, more than capable of knocking her out...but that was the trick. Kicks had more of limited range. Up close, personal, the advantage was hers, and she had every intention of using it.

The blow landed square and brought Johanna down to a knee, knocking her off kilter, just the opening that Vanessa wanted. True, she could’ve followed up with another punch and battered her opponent to the floor, and the idea was tempting, but she had better ideas. More personal ones. This was a wrestling match, after all, so…

”C’mere!” She moved in and seized Johanna by the head, clamping down on her skull with a tight headlock and grabbed her own wrist to keep it tight. Looking to keep her advantage, she marched away from the ropes and dragged her opponent along with her, setting up for the next move.

Another hit. Johanna was not liking this.

The German knew that there would be bumps in the road when it comes to her debut. In fact she expected it as such. Squashing someone tends bring doubts and Hanna wanted to make sure she makes a good first impression. But things were going wrong even the first few minuites of the match, something she thought had gotten back in her favor, only for a simple punch to knock those dreams back down.

So yeah, not going good for her. And she expected worse to come. Much to her surprise, Vanessa wanted to forego the punches and just go for a headlock. Simple, but tight, Johanna feeling the power in those arms when the redhead isn't throwing her fists at her. Letting out a grunt, she had no other option to follow her as she is lead away from the ropes. But all of her fight isn't knocked out of her and the German would send a few elbow shots right towards her side, just to deal with the headlock first.

Another hit. Vanessa was liking this.

Wrangling this woman wasn’t easy - Vanessa was strong and fit, had a full body, one that was tightly packed with muscle to the core. She could feel that power fighting her as she moved away from the ropes, making every step a struggle, testing her ability to maintain the hold.

But it was worth it. It was working. She had the hold tight and secure, and was doing a decent job of wearing her opponent down - that was, until the elbows came in.

Vanessa hissed as the blow cracked her in the midsection, landing sharp, and the sudden pain was enough to bring her down to a knee. Not wanting to lose the moment, she tried to crank down on the hold, hoping it would take enough fight out of Johanna for her to really get working.

Okay, okay. This wasn't good...but this is still early. She can come back from this.

And that is where her mindset is when it comes to the younger German. The freedom to breathe fresh air is a luxury while her head is being tugged not so tenderly in the headlock. Johanna began shuffling her bare feet around to maintain her balance while her arm would find Vanessa's body. Already she had to change up her approach of the match by attempting certain counters that she had hoped to unveil in a more showy way.

So she would throw those elbows towards the redhead's side, one already enough to take her down to one knee, although it would reward her with a crank on the hold, eliciting another yelp out of the German. But the shot to the midsection wouldn't be in vain, her other hand manoeuvred on her other side of Vanessa's hip. All before planting both feet, lifting with her strong legs as she attempted to bring Vanessa up in a slight variation to a fireman carry before falling down to slam the boxer down to the canvas.

And hard.

This was the moment where things started to go wrong, really. Vanessa had this, the ball was fairly well in her court, but that was the thing with wrestling, or any combat sport. Sometimes, all it took was the wrong move at the wrong time in the wrong way, and the whole dynamic changed.

She had her locked down, was keeping control with a solid hold. Johanna was struggling, yes, but Vanessa had the wiry strength to maintain things. It wouldn’t be enough to wear her down, but she was counting on it as a way to wear her opponent out.

But then she felt her feet leaving the ground. And then she was on Johanna’s shoulders. And then the mat was coming towards her at an alarming pace, and then…

”Ugh!”

Yeah, like that. The move, whatever it was, hit with resounding force, more than enough to make Vanessa release the hold. She went rolling away, flopped once, then twice, then a third time, and stopped with her chest to the mat, her eyes scrunched in pain, and her arm reaching around to caress her aching back.

Even when things can go bad, there was still a chance for her to come back, that much Johanna knew. Anything can change in a blink of an eye and one would be caught surprised where they'd end up. So long as she wasn't badly hurt or completely out of it, the German could turn it around. 

And turn it around she would.

Johanna had shown she was pretty adept with her kicks and her legs looked like they could really pack a lot of power. That's not to say the rest of her body was lacking in anyway and perhaps the one question Vanessa should have asked is how she got that body. Lots of weightlifting, among other things, attribute to it. 

So it's no surprise when Johanna literally lifted the taller woman and slammed her down with what would be known as a Angle Slam, delivering some good damage just to pay back the redhead. The crowd gave a good applause to that feat of strength and they would perhaps expect more. 

Thought that would come later as Johanna rolled into her front, propped up on her elbows, turning to face the writhing Vanessa, an arm reached behind to tend her back. And a lightbulb moment came to the brunette and must hurry before the chance would be missed. Scrambling on all fours, the German sought to get herself positioned and sit on Vanessa's back, bringing her arms onto her thick thighs before reaching down to grab underneath the chin and pull back for a simple, yet effective camel clutch.

This whole position was bad for a litany of reasons, though Vanessa could only grasp a few off the top of her head, what with all the pain going through her body at the moment. First off, her moment was dead in the water - she’d been doing a good job of hammering Johanna, keeping things at a pace she was good with, and now that was cut. Oh, and having her back hurting like this was problematic, since it would be slowing her down for the rest of the match.

But, most problematic was the fact that she was on the floor now, and Johanna was on the floor, and her ground game was pretty much nonexistent.

And she did not like that scampering sound she was hearing.

Vanessa tried to crawl away in time to get free, but Johanna was on her before she had the chance, draping over her back and keeping her pinned. She wouldn’t have had good chances of getting her off if she hadn’t been groggy, but like this, stretching her out was a simple matter. She writhed, kicked, struggled, but there was no fighting it as she was pulled tight into the camel clutch.

”Ah, fuck!” She ground her teeth down hard as Johanna pulled her back and tested her flexibility, bending her deep into the deadly hold. ”Get...off...me!”

Johanna wasn't one to let a prime opportunity fly away from her. She got herself out of a bad situation and turn things around on the redhead. With the many opportunities that Vanessa exploited during their brief striking battle, the German wasn't going to do the same when it comes to the ground. Breathing in deeply, she scurried towards the boxer, all the while thanking herself that she upped the weights during workouts before this match.

The German was not going to mess this up and she had to get there first before Vanessa could recover. Luckily she was there just in the nick of time to get on top of her before locking her in the camel clutch. Since she was tending to her back earlier, that was the option which made more sense. And it was a surefire way to make her back problems all the greater.

Pulling as hard as she could, her fingers laced underneath the Redhead as she wondered how flexible this woman is. Apparently she isn't taking it too kindly to the flexibility test. Shame. Could be something they have in common.

"Ja, sure. As you wish." She said in a mocking, sarcastic way, replying with another crank to the hold. As if the brunette was going to do that. Though as they say: ask stupid questions...
