Re: Sayumi Arai vs. Valley Doll - Turn the Page
It was a strange thing, but Valley found herself wanting Sayumi to break out of the pin, even as she grabbed the leg and poured the pressure on.
She loved wrestling. More than just about anything, she love it...but she’d be lying if she said she hadn’t became jaded over the years. Her loss to Manami still left a bad taste in her mouth, even as she accepted the result. That match and everything around it had been a harsh reminder of how nasty the sport could be, how there was always someone waiting in the wings to tear you apart, wanting to make a name for themselves at your expense. Crabs in a barrel, pulling each other down.
But Sayumi was different. Sayumi was pure. Here was someone who just loved to wrestle and wanted to improve, and the Slamazon had to love that. She hadn’t enjoyed a wrestling match this much in ages, maybe since she and Ace wrestled for the first time, and while she didn’t think this match would end up the way that one did - a loss and a new girlfriend - it was still a good sign.
So when Sayumi got her shoulders up, a weathered smile crossed Valley’s fac. There was still fight in this one. Good.
Many options were laid out before Valley, but she figured her best bet was to keep Sayumi mobile - it seemed like things were more in her favor when it came to a standing fight, with her being the better striker between the two, while her foe had a solid ground game. [color:9e93=#ffooff]”Up we go, come on…”
She grabbed Sayumi’s head, taking care not to grip her hair, and stood up, forcing the younger woman up with her. As soon as they were both standing, Valley would take a step back, then leap forward and shoot her raised for it Sayumi’s chest, attempting to shove her hard into the nearest corner with a hard push kick.

Re: Sayumi Arai vs. Valley Doll - Turn the Page
"Nngh." It was a good thing one of them was enjoying the experience, currently Sayumi was struggling, literally. After Valley had pulled herself up off her, she was content to stay on the mat and recover. The blond grabbing hold to start to drag her upright was a rude reminder such luxuries were not something she was likely to be afforded her.
She gripped Valley's forearm for support, staggering along as she was hoisted up. Her free arm drew back, stinging two sluggish forearm shots in the general direction of her opponent, doing her best to slow her down and prevent whatever sort of grapple she would likely be attempting next.
Sayumi felt Valley's boot snuggly against her midsection but by then it was too late. Their grip on one another flew wide as she was booted backwards. No longer holding on for balance she tripped, fumbling into the corner. Her shoulder hit the middle turnbuckle hard as she fell, giving her body a jolt. With a groan the Japanese natively slowly sank into the corner, slumping down to sit with her back to the bottom ropes.

Re: Sayumi Arai vs. Valley Doll - Turn the Page
A part of Valley couldn’t help but feel bad about all this. While Sayumi was far from the first ‘rookie’ she’d taken on, she was definitely one of the sweetest, nicest, kindest one she’d ever crossed. From what Mariah told her, she was just looking to move up, establish herself outside of the hentai division and get some real clout. Nothing wrong with that.
She liked that. Could respect it. But it wouldn’t stop her from winning this match, either. Sayumi had asked her to not hold back, and that was definitely the plan.
The two forearms shots hit Valley’s chest and staggered a step, but they didn’t have the force to do much more than that. The Slamazon was able to respond with her kick, and it did its job well, knocking Sayumi into the corner and ensuring she stayed there for a moment. Good, because that was all the time Valley needed.
Valley did a quick backflip away from Sayumi, both to create some space and because it looked cool, then she took off at full speed towards her foe. As soon as she was close, she leaped out, tucked her legs in, and crashed into Sayumi with both of her knees, hitting her with a low-altitude version of the Meteora.

Re: Sayumi Arai vs. Valley Doll - Turn the Page
Sayumi's head dropped back onto the turnbuckles with her form slouched in the corner. She weezed softly, just trying to get a bit of breathing in with this match at some point. That kick hadn't done much to allow that nor has the tumble. Valley seemed keen on keeping up the pressure, which was smart, like any wrestler should do. That didn't mean she had to like it.
She couldn't muster the power to move despite seeing her opponent barreling towards her. Knowing she was to be subject to what came next, she breath out, closed her eyes and just accepted the inevitably of what was about to happen.
Valley's weight came crashing into Sayumi's upper body, compacting the girls chest and snapping her head back. Her body buckled with the impact before settling back in limply against the ropes, pouring down onto the mat to lay partially beneath them. She winced in visible pain, weakly grasping at the bottom ropes. Either she was attempting to rise or premtively looking to grab them to keep from being dragged from the corner.

Re: Sayumi Arai vs. Valley Doll - Turn the Page
The crowd reflexively recoiled away from the hit, and rightfully so. Valley had taken this particularly move once or twice, and while it had been a few years - God, she was getting old - it was easy to remember the effect. Like a bomb going off in your skull, leaving your breathless, vision turned into a hazy mess.
All things considered, Sayumi took it relatively well. She was still conscious, anyway, at least enough to weakly fumble about, but that didn’t mean she was good enough for a kickout. While that wasn’t her finishing move by a long shot, the temptation was too strong to end this, here and now - the longer this went on, the more she’d have to hurt Sayumi, the closer she’d come to doing real damage. Best not to get too crazy.
”All right…” Valley rolled back to her feet after the hit and took a step forward, reaching down to grab her foe by the ankles. She gave Sayumi a hard tug, pulling her out of the corner and fighting any attempts to grab the ropes. Just to make sure, she dragged her opponent a few back towards the center of the ring, killing the rope break.
Dropping her knees, she grabbed Sayumi by the thighs, put her head in between her legs, and pushed forward with her legs, stacking her weight onto her opponent’s shoulders, going for a pinfall.
The referee fell to her side nearby and slapped the mat, starting up the count. ”1…!”

Re: Sayumi Arai vs. Valley Doll - Turn the Page
Sayumi's fingers weakly curled around the lower rope, trying to pull herself closer to the turnbuckles to help herself to rise. Despite not being all there at the moment, she understood the extreme danger she was in through the groggy daze that enveloped her mind. Valley was unrelenting and it wouldn't be long before she would move to end things again.
As if she had been prophet, her opponent seemed to be doing just that. She tugged at her legs as her ankles were grasped, trying to kick herself free. She had no strength, not at the moment. All it took was a rough yank from the veteran to pull her legs taut. She tightened her grip, trying to hang on with all her remaining might. The next hard pull however pulled her up off the mat, fingers snapping away from the ropes as she slapped her back onto the canvas.
Her arms trailed behind her as she was helplessly dragged away from the safety of the corner. She groaned, watching her salvation face away. She turned her head, peering past her heaving chest as her legs were pulled up into the air. Sayumi grunted softly as she was slowly folded in half, spine freaking with Valley's added weight bearing down on her. She wiggled, squirmed… but was firmly pulinned to the mat.
"One!"
The Japanese native shifted slightly, trying to roll her hips slightly, tucking her upper body. It only seemed to trap her even more, stuck with her shoulders to the ring. She reached up, fingers desperately pawing at the air ineffectively.
"Two!"
Her hand slowly drifted to Valley's head, fingers slipping through the woman's short wavy hair. Her hand cupped the woman's skull from behind, suddenly giving the woman a hard pull forward. It didn't seem like it could have helped her given she was drawing her opponent on top golf her further… until her thighs snapped in around Valley's head.
Sayumi gave a lightly twist of her body, trying to slam her opponent down to the mat beside her within the grip of a leg scissor and throw up a shoulder by flopping onto her side in one fell swoop. She was giving it everything she had, fighting to stay in this match by any means necessary.

Re: Sayumi Arai vs. Valley Doll - Turn the Page
On her back, squirming, with a pair of deceptively strong legs crushing her head, Valley had enough time to reflect on where she’d gone wrong to get to this point. It wasn’t hard to diss out.
When she’d dropped down to pin Sayuni, her mind had been far flung from the match, figuring it to be over and done, the referee’s count a mere formality. More than anything, she was thinking of a way to make all this up to Sayumi. She wouldn’t apologize for winning the match and giving it her all, but Sayumi was a sweet girl and she wanted to make sure they parted ways on a good foot. Maybe go get some ice cream together, chat and compare careers, give her younger counterpart something to chew on.
If she’d been thinking, been paying attention, maybe she could’ve noticed that the position she was in wasn’t all that ideal. Maybe she could’ve realized that Sayumi had a bit more left in the tank than she was being given credit for. Maybe she could’ve switched to something more effective, or at least something that didn’t put her into a prime spot for an obvious submission hold.
Maybe, maybe, maybe.
In reality, none of that happened. She wasn’t thinking, should’ve been paying attention, and this was the price she paid - on her side, trapped in Sayumi’s legs.
It wasn’t the worst scissorhold she’d ever been, but it was definitely higher up on the list than she could ever be comfortable with. Valley croaked as her throat was compressed and she went into a struggling fit right away, desperate for air. That was all she could do for the moment - squirm, kick her heels, desperate for some sort of relief, gagging and choking as she lay on the floor.

Re: Sayumi Arai vs. Valley Doll - Turn the Page
Rolling over onto her side, dragging Valley to the mat she understood she was safe for the moment. The details of it all were lost to her pained delirium that still held fast to her. She didn't release just how far they were from the ropes they had gone thanks to the other woman or how well she had her legs wrapped around her. All she knew was that she wasn't being hit and was keeping her attacker at bay with one fell swoop.
This hold had become the most important thing in this ring to her. It was a chance for history, yes, but it was her time to recover and lay in as much crippling punishment as she could. Forehead pressed to the canvas with sweat matter hair, she breathed heavily trying to find some measure of balance again.
Her hips twisted as far as they could, during up her thighs around Valley's head to keep the woman in an awkward angle to make even fighting her on this more difficult. Her hand was still gripping the back of her head, using it as an additional anchor point to keep the two of them connected like this.
The pumping adrenaline from the sudden shift in position did a lot to sober her up, putting things in a better perspective. Rather than simply milking the hold and waiting for Valley to try and power out or crawl to the ropes, she was determined to make this a hellish experience so if her opponent got free it would give her a strong jump off point.
Sayumi leaned as far as she could to one side then snapped the other way, rolling her body as hard and fast as she could to flip Valley over onto her front and drive her head into the mat. It was just the start because she immediately threw her body the other way, trying to roll them back and forth between the two positions like an alligator with its victim in a death roll.

Re: Sayumi Arai vs. Valley Doll - Turn the Page
Valley let out a loud grunt as Sayumi cranked the scissors, putting more and more pressure into it, hammering her with more force than she could’ve ever expected. She knew the woman wasn’t weak, she’d never think that. Pound for pound, she might’ve very well been the stronger wrestler between them overall, clearly going through some solid training all over. But this level of constricting force was of a higher order than she’d anticipated. It wasn’t too hard to figure out why.
Desperation. Determination. Drive. Sayumi was clamping down on the hold like it was her last chance to get back in the match, and she was absolutely right to believe that.
It was mix that lead to an effective results, and the whole crowd was up in arms to see it. While the audience’s support had been 50/50 throughout, with some hoping for an upset and some cheering on the veteran, they all began to surge now. It didn’t matter who they fell behind, the fans were eager to see history being made. Valley wasn’t the biggest name in the company, but she was a former champion with a solid record behind her, one who’d grown a strong reputation over the past few years. Beating her would be a great springboard for any wrestler’s career, and it would definitely put Sayumi in the conversation for an Entropy Title shot, bare minimum.
All well and good. Great for her, Valley wanted Sayumi to move forward. But it wouldn’t be at her expense, not if she could help.
She had just started a push for the ropes when Sayumi whipped her about, snapping her neck from side to side with hard jolts. It was, needless to say, less than pleasant for Valley’s neck, and if the idea was to take some of the fight out of her, it was more than successful. The Slamazon was left on her side, writhing in the hold, struggling to reach out for the ropes and gain some temporary freedom.

Re: Sayumi Arai vs. Valley Doll - Turn the Page
Was it working? She couldn't tell. While she was a woman of many submissions, this marked the first time she had poured so much raw aggression laying into her opponent. Traditionally, for her at least, it was an easy way to rest while taxing her opponent. Here, like this, it did little to help her stamina as she trashed Valley from side to side. Still, she no doubt was coming out better in this exchange.
The Japanese native did note one thing for certain though. She wasn't strong enough to keep the veteran from working towards the ropes. This marked an inevitability of a break in the coming moments. Faced with this, she did what she could to make her weight heavy to drag the milked the simplicity of the hold for the limited time she had remaining with it.
The hope was twofold. Perhaps she would get lucky and Valley would pass out. Unlikely. The second was instilling a healthy fear of something like this happening again. It might cause her opponent to limit her options to avoid being trapped like this again. Any time spent worrying about what could happen gave Sayumi more time to keep pressing on in this match. Mind games… this was another new ground she was breaking tonight.
"Break!"
Her long legs uncoiled from Valley's throat, giving the veteran her earned freedom. She understood the temptation to keep it locked in for the first time. That raw desperation of wanting suck the last few seconds of life from a struggling opponent. She had never really felt that way before, had never really considered taking the low road an employing underhanded tactics until now. She didn't like it. It drove her to create more distance between the two of them as she rose back to her feet, taking in a controlled breath.
It wasn't good to ease up now though. She found herself hesitating all the same as if she had just awoken from a nightmare and the aftereffects lingered in her mind. She steadied herself, fixing her top absentmindedly before driving back in, reaching down to try and grasp for Valley's head and shoulder to drag the woman upright.
"Up we go!" If she managed to get her up part way, she would suddenly dip down, wrapping her arms around Valley's midsection to scoop her up off the mat to dangle horizontally. Her goal was to pick her up and walk her away from the ropes before coming down hard with her in a sidewalk slam mid ring, clearly setting up for another round of torturous submissions far from safety.
