Big Shark and a Feisty Shrimp~

Mako was doing something she had wanted to do for a long time but couldn’t find the time. She was going back to the beach. The beach was such a nice place and Mako loved it. As a kid she wanted to go to there every day. Once she even took a bus there herself. However, she was 11 at the time, got lost, and was grounded for a month by her Mom.

This time, though, Mako could drive…and more importantly, she could drive legally. The time she drove illegally was a real fiasco. Fourteen years old with an upside down car in a pond. To this day Mako can’t borrow a family member’s car, and even if she asked they'd just laugh at her.

Luckily, Mako had her own car. A car she had used to finally get to her beloved beach. Today’s agenda was mostly just to look around at the scenery. The sun coming up, the waves crashing on the sand, and the sound of the wind blowing always made her feel relaxed. It was pretty early, though, since she didn’t have time to come during the day. The time was roughly four am, or maybe five. All she knew was that the dashboard clock wasn’t set to the right time. The shark would’ve liked to come a bit later and actually swim. Maybe hit on a few girls or something.

But Mako could still have fun, regardless of the time. She had the beach all to herself! So, first things first, Mako was going for a run. This was going to cut into her training time, so she would just exercise on the beach. The shark was wearing a white tank top cut out that was opened more down the sides with the JAWS movie poster on the front. This showed off the black sports bra she had underneath, while for bottoms she had on short, black yoga shorts, with her old running shoes.

After arriving, Mako parked her car and got out to look around. It was kinda dark. Far darker than she expected it to be. Mako didn’t mind too much, though. It wasn’t like she was going for a swim. She was just here for a run and some sun bathing. But Mako did bring a black bikini, just in case she decided to stay longer. She also brought a beach blanket if she wanted to sunbathe and an umbrella in case she wanted to take a nap without burning.

Of course, Mako wasn’t the only one who wanted a fun day at the beach...

Makie steppped off the bus, leaving the multilingual gibberish of confused tourists and the nattering cries of young children behind her. As irritating as mass transit could be, the destination was more than worth it. She smiled as she was greeted by the sight of the beach, still shrouded in darkness, the faintest embers of sunlight poking out in the distance.

She took a yawning stretch as she stepped out onto the beach, sand crunching under her flip flops. She was wearing a simple black "AFW Rawks" T-shirt with a cartoon version of Andrea Umlaut on the front playing air guitar, as well as a simple pair of beige shorts. Underneath it all, in case she managed to get any swimming done, she was wearing a sporty white bikini...although for the most part, she had come to relax. Hence the beach towels, mini-umbrella, action manga and bottle of red wine in her backpack.

She took a few seconds to enjoy the breeze against her face. This beach brought back a lot of memories. Her parents had used to take her, Toshio and Kyo here when they were little...though that had all been before dad had died. Before Kyo had become insular and serious, and before Toshio had become...well, the exact opposite. This beach had also been the first place where she had kissed a boy...before said boy had one day moved away, without any warning beforehand. But then, that was the story of her life, it seemed: she could never have too much of a good thing for long.

Fuck it. She had come here to relax, to read, to enjoy a nice swim, and to maybe hit the arcade later and get very drunk. That was it. She didn't have time to waste on feeling awful. Hitching her backpack up more securely on her back, she walked on to find a nice spot...

...and, in her absent mindedness, bumped into someone. "Ah! Watch it, you--" She trailed off when she a shark staring at her, its razor-filled mouth in the 4am darkness, gaping open as it lunged...no, wait, that was a t-shirt. A t-shirt, she realized, that was being worn by a familiar spiky blonde.

"Adachi?"

After getting her stuff out from the trunk, Mako was carrying bag and an umbrella as she went to find a spot. The beach was clear since it was pretty early, so she didn’t have to worry about arguing with someone over her set up. As she walked, though, the shark paused to look over the tiny specks of light in the horizon. It was an amazing sight, and she could’ve looked at it forever. That is, until someone ran right into her. Mako didn’t see who did it, but that didn’t mean she wasn't mad about it. The woman made her drop her bag, and then yelled at her from behind too!

“Why don’t you watch it!?” the shark yelled back as she turned to see a familiar face. Dark hair, short, kinda cute, and very busty. Mako quickly recognized this woman as Makie Akamatsu, the woman she’d face in an epic falls count anywhere match. Or…as she also knew her by…

“SHRIMP!!!” Mako exclaimed as she pointed at Makie. Any onlookers  nearly comical fashion. The woman recognized her, too, as she stated the shark’s surname. Makie seemed to be surprised as she spoke. However, Mako’s tone had gone from mad to stoked as dropped her umbrella and gave her former opponent a hug.

“Hey! What’re you doing here!?” she asked before releasing the woman. Mako was excited to not only be on the beach now, but to have a buddy here with her. And while she wasn’t sure if Makie saw her as a friend, the shark definitely saw her as one. “Its been a while hasn’t it? How've you been Short Stuff?" the shark would continue to say, while slightly teasing at Makie with a big smile.

Makie was surprised enough to find someone else out here, this early in the morning, before sun-up. To find that that person was not just an acquaintance from AFW, but someone she had not long ago been brutally trading slams, punches and kicks with in the ring, was not merely surprising, it was downright shocking.

"What--" was all she managed to say before Mako Adachi gave a big, powerful hug. Her ribs screamed in protest as she was inadvertently crushed in Mako's grip. "AAGHK! MAKO...NEED...BREATHING..."

The moment Mako let go, she would take a step back, and catch her breath before finally responding. "Ow...I've been okay. I'm here to get some rest and relaxation at my favourite beach. Why, I'm guessing..." Her eyes drifted to Mako's bag and umbrella. "...that's what you're here for as well?"

Mako didn't mean to crush the little shrimp, but she was just too excited to see her. Of course she noticed her grip was hurting her, so the shark let her buddy go. So after releasing her, Makie said that she was here to relax on her favorite beach, and guessed that's why Mako was here. The shark came to relax, yes, but she also came to do tons of other things. Maybe she could get Makie to do some of those things with her...

"Pretty much yeah. I haven't been at a beach in like forever...so honestly I was dying just to see it." Mako explained while holding her hands behind her head casually. "Heh...nice shirt by the way. It suits you." the shark added as she looked over Makie's "Afw rawks" T-shirt. Of course, she couldn't help but add a taunt in there as well...

"Not as cool as mine~...but still, it suits you." she'd say with a cocky grin while pulling down on the sides of her shirt to show it of better. Afterwards, Mako would start to pick her stuff back up so she could find a spot. Of course, the shark would love for that spot to be right next to Makie's now that she was here, as well. Mako couldn't help but imagine all the fun they could have, and all the trouble they could get in together. "Lifeguards beware..." the shark thought to herself with a chuckle. If Makie was even half as wild as she was, then the lifeguards were in for a very rough day...

Makie pouted at the tease. Of course, she had to begrudgingly admit, Mako's shirt was pretty awesome, what with the reference to Jaws and everything. A part of her was still unsure about how to react to this whole situation: after all, the last she had seen of Mako, she and the spiky haired blonde had been busy slamming one another and making a mess of each other's faces in one of the most brutal matches Makie had ever participated in. On the other hand, Mako had shown her no ill will afterwards, and the two of them had even helped one another out of the arena (Makie still liked to think that Mako had taken the worst of it, but that was neither here nor there).

As Mako began to set up her beach spot, Makie sighed and began to set up as well, setting down her beach blanket and...hmm. Now that she stopped and realized it, she hadn't brought an umbrella of her own. She had plenty of sunscreen, of course, but the lack of shade was going to be a pain in the ass.

"So, um...how's....things?" She realized how stupid she sounded the moment she said it, but then, she was rarely in the position where she was chatting up ex-opponents.

Mako couldn't help but giggle as Makie pouted from being teased. It was just soooooooo cute! She tried to hold it in a little, though, so that the woman didn't get mad or something. So both women would head over to the beach and start to put their stuff down. Then, as they both set up, Makie asked the shark how things were. Thinking to herself how things had been going, Mako couldn't complain at all.

"Pretty good honestly. Busy, but there's still enough time to do what I love. So I can't complain." Mako explained as she laid down her towel and set up her umbrella by spearing it into the ground. "What about you-" the shark began to say before realizing Makie didn't have an umbrella with her.

"Hey, shrimp...didn't you bring an umbrella?" she asked while leaning forward and tilting her head to the side. "I mean...I like sunbathing as much as the next hottie...but it gets annoying eventually...Come over here, we'll share." Mako said casually while waving Makie to the left side of the umbrella, while her own towel was on the right. To be completely honest, half of this was because the shark wanted to be closer to the woman. Literally. Like smushed up against her position wise. She wasn't 100% sure why, but she didn't really need a reason for it. The other half was enough, which was because Mako saw Makie as a friend. And the shark always looked out for her friends.

"Come ooooooooooooon, Makie! Despite what you think...I don't bite~" Mako whined before teasing the shrimp in an ever so slightly taunting tone.

Makie frowned at first. A part of her didn't get, or didn't trust, why Mako was being so friendly. A part of her felt more than a little annoyed that she was being forced to rely on someone else like this-- after all, Makie prided herself on her independence, even from (or especially from) her brothers.

She glanced at the horizon. In a few minutes the sun would start rising. Once it did that, this beach was about to become hot and uncomfortable for anyone who didnt have shade.

She sighed. "Fine," she grumbled, sitting down next to Mako. "Just don't think this gives you extra bragging rights after our match."

As she accomodated herself next to Mako, she took a casual stretch as she waited for sunup. "By the way, I always wanted to ask...why sharks as your gimmick? Is it just because they're big, scary and will chomp you in half?"

For a second it looked like Makie didn't want to sit next to the shark. She even frowned upon hearing what Mako said. In the end, though, Makie would grumble and move over next to her. Despite the woman's bad attitude, Mako smiled as the shrimp sat next to her and stretched some.

"It's cool. Besides...I have enough to brag about already, don't I?" she replied with a wink. Then, shortly after, Makie would ask Mako about her nickname.

"Oh, that? Well as you can see I'm not THAT big. It's just that I was always hunting for fights as a kid. Still am, too. Plus I was a pretty off the walls when I was younger. Never stopped moving. Hehe...and basically because 'Mako' is a type of shark. But you're right that being scary had a part in it, too." Mako explained in response. As she was talking, though, the young woman had already began to take off her Jaws shirt and stuff it in her bag. This revealed a lot of Mako's upper body. Luckily, for once she had something under her shirt that was covering her breasts.

A pitch black bikini top with white string was covering her breasts. But they didn't leave too much to the imagination. Her tattoos were still mostly on display from her right arm to her right breast, as well as the rest on her left arm and shoulder. Soon after Mako would even begin to take off her bottoms. Underneath were similarly colored bikini bottoms that would cover up well enough after she stripped the rest. Mako didn't think much of how she was stripping down, but Makie might not feel so casual about it. That was a fact that the shark had neglected.

As Mako stripped for the beach, Makie felt something tighten in her throat, and found herself instantly having to suppress a blush. She had forgotten just how ripped Mako was-- a fit, tightly muscled yet feminine form that her black bikini hugged almost perfectly. In part, Makie had to admit, she was more than a little envious of Mako's physique, although part of that stemmed from always being the short one in the family. Having Mako constantly call her "shrimp" didn't help matters.

Quietly, and still more than a little red-faced, she pulled off her own shirt and revealed her own swimsuit-- one that was, admittedly, a lot less, well, stringy than Mako's: a red cro-topped outfit that hugged her generous bosom, and matching bottoms. She was still a little red-faced, and cleared her throat a little. "Not bad...better the guys here ogle you than me, right?"
