There's No Such Thing as a "Deal" on Wedding Dresses, Just Cheaper Rip-offs.

So, after about half a year of painstaking planning, fitting, and just generally dancing around the idea like the fickle, undeserving clutz that I am, I'm going to be tying the knot. It's a happy time for me, but it’ll require me to be away from the site for a week or so. (Maybe, maybe not. Largely depends if the Wi-Fi the realty promised is actually seaworthy.) I’ll be as active as I can through then.

On another note, I noticed I recently passed a full year on here, so I figured this would be as good a place as any to get this off my chest.

Truth be told, I wasn't really sure whether or not I'd make this post. I've unfortunately gone radio silent at times longer than I would have liked, and I thought about just making a simple “going away maybe” thing. But I felt as though you deserved the transparency.

You guys. You’re awesome. Really. When I started this account last year, I never intended for it to last past the summer months. It just seemed like something fun to do between semesters so I didn’t lose my edge in writing. That was more or less why I never made the customary introduction thread. I never had any RP experience, never envisioned really being a part of a community like this.

I’ve had a ton of fun here, far more than I thought I ever would, and it's because of each and every one of you. You're a fun, creative, kind, caring, helpful, snarky bunch. Every thread I've done has been great and I can’t say I’ve ever come to regret a moment of being on this site. Special thanks to all our recent additions, too. You’ve contributed a lot of fabulous ideas, characters, and more than a fair share of envy on my part.

Look forward to getting back in the swing of things. Thank you guys for being, well, yourselves. Find your happiness. Live well. Stay gold.
