Reiko Shishigou (D) Vs. Trinity Cordova - Barbed Wire Debut Match

It was time, Reiko had returned to Japan to make her re-debut here in her home-country. Having spent the better part of the last 4 years overseas, wrestling in America where she had built herself up and established herself there as a force the be reckoned with. Her decision to return to Japan had been rather sudden, having missed the scene of the wrestling in the land of the rising sun, and her desire to return to her roots, even her hometown of Tokyo. There was a big grand league her now, sure, AFW had been rather big when she left for America, but the place just continued to expand, it was pretty much the only place to go in Japan for wrestling in the big leagues. 

After having signed up to AFW's Friction League she found herself very shortly scheduled for a match. A barbed wire match with another recent addition to the league. A woman called Trinity Cordova. Though the only question mark that Reiko had her eyes on for this match was the fact that it was a Barbed Wire match, she thought that was a pretty grim start, so either they were really out to test the Lionheart or they were just looking to see something brutal tonight! 

Regardless, Reiko was more than willing to go at it with anyone in most kinds of matches. So she didn't find a problem with it. No matter how grim or tough it would be, she'd be willing to step into the ring and come out on top. Stepping out onto the ramp in her lion emblazoned leotard, as her very American rock theme blasted out of the speakers, the crowd seemed pretty fired up to see one of their nations world wide known wrestler make her return! 

With it the confident lioness started to walk down the ramp and towards the ring. Seeing the ropes already lined with the barbed wire, Reiko would nod her head. She took the rolling in under the bottom ropes, barley escaping a light scraping of the barbed wire. When she was inside, she'd rise up to her feet and walk to the center of the ring. Folding her arms under her impressive chest she would nod her head and then turn to face the top of the ramp. Looking to see her opponent make her entrance as she would remain in the center of the squared circle....waiting for Trinity.

It was fair to say that Trinity was finally getting used to life here at AFW. She had only been here for just over a month, and already had 3 matches under her belt. She felt quite confident in her ability to win matches now, and she had finally learned her lesson from when she tangled with Tina: even if it took her a full two weeks to realise it.

So far Trinity had thought she had seen everything here at the AHW. She had two hardcore matches, and even fought it a cage match. She was then informed about tonight's fight: a Barbed wire match. Well… this was going to be… interesting to say the least. She had spent a fair few parts of her previous matches near the ropes, so for this match she was going to have to be more careful.

As per usual with the AFW she had been left in the dark regarding who he was fighting tonight. She was starting to detect that this might be a regular thing. Maybe someone up high really didn't like her. It didn’t phase her much. It was more of an annoyance than anything. Whatever got thrown her way, she would adapt. She could hear whoever her opponent was entering the ring. Well not them actually entering the ring, more so that she could here their theme. It wasn’t one that she recognised.

It was now time for her own entrance. Preparing herself backstage, Trinity took a few deep breaths to help get her into the zone. Seconds later, her own theme would start blaring through the speakers and Trinity would walk out onto the ramp. After doing this several times, she finally felt relaxed when walking out. She no reason to be scared. Making her way down the ramp, she glanced towards her opponent, and more importantly the barbed wire that was serving as rope. Finally reaching the ring Trinity would climb up onto the apron and would then slip through the ropes, being very careful not to hurt herself on the barbed wire as she slipped on through.

In the ring proper, Trinity could start to really size up her opponent. Trinity was taller, not by much though. She looked quite dense in the muscle region, getting flashbacks to her own debut against Liberty. Rolling her shoulders and stretching her arms, Trinity would eventually walk to the center of the ring. “So you are what they are throwing against me? You really sure you wanna do this? The second that bell goes there is no running away”

Reiko would continue to watch the ramp as she stood in the center of the ring, arms folded up under her quite generous bosom. She would watch intently and wait for her opponent to make her way out of the backstage area, stepping through the curtains. 

Reiko would stand firm and wait for her opponent to come down towards the ring, she watched her step through the ropes. Seeing how the woman was just a tad bit bigger than her, a tad taller. It looked as if it wasn't going to be an easy battle, if she judge by the way the woman looked. 

Now that they were both in the ring, in the center and sizing each other up. Reiko would listen to the words of the brunette. Reiko would shake her head a little, it looked as if this one was the kind to talk tough, but the question was if she could back it up. Stepping up a bit, Reiko would look straight up into the eyes of the rather lovely Trinity. 

" I'm 100% certain of my chances in this match." Was all she said as she would then take a step back and raise her arms up. " Whenever you're ready. I won't go easy on you." Reiko spoke out as the Lionheart would drop into a grapple stance and get ready for the fight.

At least the woman in front of her was confident. It took guts to be able to say something like that to an opponent who was literally taller and bigger than you. At least this was going to be a fun match. A part of Trinity couldn’t wait to get her up against these barbed ropes and tear her a new one.

As the bell would ring, Trinity observed Reiko raising her hands to get into a lock up with her. Ok then. This was new. Taking a step forward she got closer to Reiko, raising her hands as if looking to meet Reiko with the lock up. At the last minute however Trinity changed her mind and swung her left fistforward to attmept to catch Reiko off guard and hit her in the right cheek.

“First rule of Hardcore matches hun” Trinity spoke out and then followed through with her previous attack by lifting her knee up and trying to slam it into the woman’s gut. “We don’t start them off with lockups” A smirk grew on Trinity’s lips. She was loving every moment of this.

Reiko couldn't say she had been in many matches of this nature, hardcore matches wasn't exactly something she unfamiliar with but it wasn't something she was on friendly terms with. It was a match type which she neither liked nor disliked, she thought of it as nothing but a nuisance but also a good way to test herself and her skills. 


It was when she moved in towards the slightly bigger and taller woman that Reiko was facing seemed to have a very different thing in mind for her, psyching the Lionheart out as she threw her arm forward and ignored the lock up, instead she came in and threw a hard rigtht fist up into the face of the short haired blond. 

Reiko was forced to stagger a bit but it was then that she was met with a strong knee right into the covered abs, forcing the blond to hunch forwards and cough out as she would wrap her right arm around her midsection. " Urhg..." she grunted out in annoyance as she would try and glare up at the powerful Trinity Cordova.

Trinity would laugh as she attacked Reiko. Rarely did her opening strikes work as well as this. So Trinity was grateful at least for what was going on. Letting out a small smile, more like a smirk actually, looking down at the hunched fighter.

“Welcome to Hardcore bitch!”

Trinity had a few options now. She could perhaps do a more grappling, submission attack. Something new to her, but hey, if it damaged her opponent, Trinity was all for it. She however, decided against that particular course of action, instead favouring a second knee strike, this time towards the females face rather than the gut, since she was hunched down it made a target that was just too good to resist.

Reiko would cough out as she had been struck in her midsection by that first knee which had left her gasping for air, she wasn't completely out of things though and as Reiko chose to speak out and then weight her options for a moment, Reiko had the time to gather her own thoughts and a bit of breath through her coughs.

The blonde would watch as the knee was being pulled back again, and at the sight, she would rush forward, trying to drive her shoulder into Trinity's midsection and as the girl was on that one leg and unbalanced. The Lionheart would try and tackle Trinity down with a shoulder tackle to that gut of the Hardcore fighter. Looking to take the brunette down onto her back!
