Isa vs Alaina - Angel vs Amazon

Isa really needed to catch a break in order to get herself into the match. She had started off the match in almost the worst way possible, and her temper was heating up. Yes, Alaina was an all-star, but that did not mean that the Angel of Ice would happily let her just have her way with her. And as Isa felt her kick connecting with Alaina's according groans, she found a glimpse of hope in her situation. Usually when Isa landed a kick, her opponent was going to want to recover for a moment too.

The blonde glanced back and saw the American Amazon stumbling back. Now she had an opportunity to take some deep breaths, before getting herself back up again. But as Isa started getting on her feet and she could see Alaina again, the veteran was already charging at her! And this time even her instincts couldn't save her. As an inevitable result of the Amazon's crossbody block, the cute blonde's body was flattened back to the mat, and air was once again driven out of the rookie's lungs.

Alaina was keeping her momentum going and she took a deep breath after flattening Isa. Instead of staying on top she opted to get up, dragging Isa up with her by the arm. Once she got Isa into a standing position she tried to step to her side, twisting her torso and sending Isa running to the ropes with an Irish whip!

Alaina was focused, but she knew that Isa was also a driven wrestler. Alaina was taking a gamble with the Irish whip as she could set up for some big offense, but Isa also had plenty of opportunity to use her momentum to hammer Alaina with something! So far given how the match had gone it was a gamble she was willing to take.

As Alaina had flattened Isa on the mat, the blonde was already hoping that she could have just stayed down there for a moment. Just a small while that would have enabled her to refill her lungs, clear her head and muster up some strength. But she was getting none of that, as the Amazon was determined to get the blonde quickly back up again. And this time, she was twisting Isa's body, but then sending her off in an Irish whip!

Isa realized her chance had come. She was finally getting some distance to Alaina... And while the Amazon was probably predicting that Isa would have rebounded right back towards her, the blonde had some different plans.

The Angel did turn around by the ropes to face the Amazon, but instead of coming back at her, the blonde wrapped her arms around the top rope, halting her movement to apparently catch some rest. She had a plan, but she wanted to appear to Alaina as if she was already all exhausted from the Amazon's attacks, and vulnerable enough to be hit by another one! She wanted to lure Alaina into coming charging at her, but at the right time the blonde would try to suddenly jump up taking support by the ropes, and deliver a Dropkick right into the Amazon's midsection!

Alaina bought into Isa's feint, hook line and sinker! She saw Isa hang up on the ropes and the amazon sprang into action immediately not wanting to give Isa any time to recover. As she rushed in however she took the dropkick right to the abdomen and doubled, over, stumbling back a few steps before flopping down onto the mat, laying flat on her back and kicking the canvass! "Ungh! D-damn it....." Alaina groaned as she wheezed, trying to gasp for breath to regain the wind that was knocked out of her by the surprise dropkick!

Faking exhaustion was maybe not the nicest thing to do, but still far from the worst tricks Alaina had probably seen during her career in AFW. Besides, the Amazon had begun the match with having no mercy for the rookie, so it was only fair that Isa could play all the tricks up her sleeve, right? Especially if they produced such great results, as the surprise dropkick turned out to do.

For a moment Isa felt incredible relief as she witnessed Alaina tumbling down to the mat. Apparently she had knocked even more wind out of the Amazon than she had predicted, and that could provide her with a great recovery opportunity now! But then again, once the Amazon was down, this was surely a situation that the Angel should really take advantage of even further...

Deciding to save recovery for a little later, the blonde went after the American. Now it could be her turn take the lead! Positioning herself next to Alaina, Isa tried to first perform a quick leg drop on her opponent, hoping that it could guarantee some further down-time for the Amazon! But if that went well, the blonde would then try to position herself behind Alaina's head, placing it then between her thighs for a tight headscissor hold! Hopefully that could provide the blonde with an opportunity to recover while she'd introduce the might of her thighs to the Amazon.

Alaina groaned as the leg drop came crashing down across her upper chest, but her choked cries of pain were far more prevalent as the head scissors was locked in! She kicked the mat and reached her arms up, trying to pull on Isa's powerful legs to try to create some breathing room as she struggled against the hold! "ugh... no no no!" Alaina called out in protest, trying to use her arms to pull on Isa's legs for that coveted breathing room!

If Alaina wasn't able to alleviate some of this agony she was going to be in trouble as her air supply was being cut off!

Isa's plans went almost smoother than she had been hoping for! Her leg drop nailed the purpose of paying back some of the blows Alaina had already delivered her during the first moments of the match, and keeping the Amazon downed for long enough for the Angel to set her position up perfectly to wrap her mighty thighs around Alaina's head. The blonde was already breathing heavily, but that only served to fire up her willpower to give as hard time to Alaina with her legs now as possible!

For a moment everything went smoothly, but then the Amazon initiated a full-scale escape attempt. And while Isa's legs were definitely strong, so was the woman who had begun prying them off! Frankly, Alaina was probably the strongest opponent the blonde had had so far, and it showed in how she was managing to get a hint of room to breathe...

But Isa was definitely not going to let Alaina go that easily. She did release the headscissor hold, but only to reposition her legs. Pushing Alaina's back in the process up a bit, the blonde's plan was to still stay behind her opponent, and wrap her legs this time around the Amazon's waist.

"Ngh... almost..... arrrrrrgggghhhhhhhh!" Alaina muttered, managing to freeher airway only to have Isa's legs crushing her torso! Alaina shook her head and stifled a cry of pain. She was stuck again, but she had an idea in mind to repay the choke out favor!

Alaina reached up trying to to pull Isa's head forward, wrapping her arm around it to choke her out! It also left Alaina's right arm free, and she used it to pound Isa's mid-section over and over with painful punches to go along with her choking front headlock! "Not so fun is it?" Alaina choked out, hoping the punishment she inflicted led to Isa's legs loosening their grip on the torso of the amazon!

For the first time in this match, Isa started to actually feel confident. Despite the Amazon's strength, despite her experience, Isa had managed to gain control over her. And not just a momentary one! She had already kept her down for a good while with the headscissor hold. Granted, Alaina had managed to loosen that up, but that had not meant the end of Isa's reign! The blonde had managed to swiftly transform the hold into a bodyscissor one, keeping the Amazon firmly in the receiving end of the pain.

But bad news were waiting right around the corner for the blonde. Or right around her throat more accurately, as Alaina had suddenly managed to wrap her arm backwards to choke out the Angel! For a moment Isa was in shock, not really knowing what to do, before Alaina began helping her to decide. The blonde received several hard blows to her midsection, causing her scissorhold to quickly loosen. It was obvious that the rookie was not used to receiving such punches, and her endurance with them was poor, driving even further air out of the blonde.

Provided that Alaina let her choke hold go after Isa's hold loosened, the blonde would just roll over on her all fours, trying to recover from the sudden loss of air. If the Amazon did not let go however, then the control over the opponent had completely shifted to her.

As Alaina felt herself gaining her freedom she decided that the best thing to do was abandon her own hold. She shoved Isa away, rolling and trying to get herself up to her feet to reset. Alaina hobbled her way up to her feet, saying a bit on and waiting for Isa to rise.

Once Isa was up, Alaina would hold her hands up and try to step in to grapple with Isa once more!
