Bar Crawl

Peggy's face lit up at the good news. She was smiling ear to ear as she seemed to do a tiny little dance. "That is really fuckin' awesome! Congrats! It always feels good when ya match yourself up with someone that ya just mesh with! I am so happy for ya!" Peggy said enthusiastically. "How long have ya been dating? Did ya do anything fun? Fill me in!" Peggy said as she leaned in, eager to hear more as she pat Cicilia on the back.

Cicilia blushed lightly as Peggy just up and celebrated her relationship with a little dance, declaring how happy she was she found someone to "Mesh" with! Well... That could be interpreted in more than one way.

"Heh... Yeah..." She snickered to herself, thinking of all those times she and Sayumi had "Meshed" well together. Ah... so many times... She was starting to lose count! She made her such a happy woman, she couldn't begin to describe it... There was really no words for the feeling one gets to come home to someone they love, to hold them and embrace them... She couldn't think of anything in the world that had brought her that much joy... The German lightly sipped her wine as Peggy DEMANDED details on their relationship, asking how long they've been together, had they done anything "fun", stuff along those lines... Cicilia smiled knowingly at the whisky-sipping irish-woman, letting the wide grin do the talking for a second or two before explaining.

"We've been together for... a couple months now?" Cicilia rubbed the back of her head, staring up at the ceiling as if all the answers were written there. "We met in the Gym... We... didn't like each-other all that much at first." Cicilia sighed as she recalled those memories... When she first got to Japan, she was a lot more of a hard-ass, much more difficult to get along with and was down-right cold and cruel to people that couldn't mind their own damned business... "She didn't like my attitude... so we fought. I gained a respect for her because she really knew how to give it to me..." She laughed softly. "I won, though... Came away better than when we met. Then we went to the beach... had a match there... she beat me... It really was then that I fell for her... Second time we met, I know, but there was something about her... Besides being the most beautiful woman I've ever seen..."

She glanced over at Peggy, smiling apologetically if that somehow offended her before continuing. "And being in a bikini..."

"We have a lot of fun together... She's already moved her stuff back to my place! We watch movies, play video-games... Went to a Fair this one time..." She sighed heavily suddenly wishing she was home with her... OR that she was here with them! Either way, she would do almost anything for her partner to be in her arms... Cicilia took another swig.

"What about you and Mr. Bartender over there? Have a history?

Peggy nodded along and listened to Cicilia talk about her new lady in her life. It really was a nice story, one that reminded Peggy of her and Josh. She really missed him more than anyone knew. "No, he is just the bartender and has put up with me since I got here. I have a boyfriend who was here but had to go back home to the US to help out his family. We do our best to keep in touch but it hasn't been easy." Peggy said as she drank more of her whiskey.

"Having that one person around to be with makes all the difference in the world it does...." Peggy said out loud, not really talking to Cicilia. She more or less spoke aloud to the both of them, a moment of slightly buzzed reflection.

"Ah. I see..." Cicilia nodded as Peggy informed her of their relationship... Peggy already had someone back in the US...? She couldn't imagine being so far away from Sayumi, what it would be like... Just a night away from her seemed torturous enough, even if they were but a few blocks away but a whole CONTINENT across an ocean!? And who knows how long it's been since Peggy had seen her beloved!? Cicilia nodded and raised her drink in respect for Peggy's plight, downing her glass before setting it back down. That was probably enough alcohol for one night... She didn't want to return drunk after all. But... wow... That really changed the mood of their conversation, didn't it...? Cicilia couldn't help but feel guilty telling the Irish-woman of her (for all intents and purposes) perfect relationship and reminding her how far she was from hers.

"Yeah." She agreed, nodding slowly. "It really does..." The German sighed heavily before turning to fully face Peggy, her arms crossed across her chest lightly as she contemplated some things...

"Surely you can go visit him, right?" Cicilia offered. A stupid question in hindsight. She would've done it already if she could've. "They don't have you on THAT strict a contract, do they?"

Peggy smiled and nodded. "Oh yeah for sure! I saw him last month for a couple o' days. Alaina went with me to see her old tag partner Julia who I kinda replaced. At least I'm tryin' to replace." Peggy said after taking another sip. "Them not winning the tag titles was rough. I feel like they were a better team than anyone out there, they just had a star crossed path losing their only title shot right before Julia left." Peggy said as she looked around the bar, people watching for a moment.

Peggy leaned back, her back against the bar as she sat on the stool. "I can't wait to get back in the ring. Once I do we will blow the roof off that gym n' show everyone there what a real ring work out is huh?"

"Oh.. Well that's good!" Cicilia offered as Peggy explained that she HAD seen her boyfriend, quite recently in fact. The revelation, though, came with the added baggage that the Irish-wrestler was trying to replace someone who had left her friend's team. Apparently, they had just lost their one shot at the tag-title, this Julia character being the one left to pick up the pieces. "It can't be easy for anyone to take anybody's place in a well-working team." Cicilia noted with a light shrug. "You just got to do your best and hope things work out. Change your strategy if you have too!" WELL! That was her moment of wisdom for today! Peggy brought it all back to her eagerness to get back into the ring and blow the roof off the gym. She only shook her head and nodded... Whipping out her phone to check the time, Cicilia found that it was getting LATE! If she didn't get moving now, Sayumi would be asleep by the time she got home!

That simply wouldn't do! Calling the bartender her way, the Boxer paid what she owed before getting up from her seat and smiling at her friend.

"Sorry, but I gotta go, Peggy. It's getting a bit late for me and I don't want to keep Sayumi waiting any longer. Maybe we can do this again sometime...?"

With that... Cicilia would head out of the bar, pulling her hood up over her head to avoid the chill of night... Ugh... forget asleep... Sayumi would be freaking out...

Peggy nodded with an understanding look on her face. While ahe hoped to be out a while longer it wasn't meant to be. Well, she would stay out... maybe another drink before calling a cab.

"Yeah, do what ya have to do and we'll meet up again soon. Here, in the ring, wherever lass.
We will make it happen. It was nice seeing you!" Peggy said as Cicilia made her exit. The whiskey was starting to catch up to Peggy now, it was a good thing she had cash for the cab....
