Re: Laila Nazari vs. Prayuth 'Pray' Sakda - The Huntress and the Hunted
...where was the cry?
Not that Prayuth took particular joy from making women cry out, but he kind of expected it when he landed a blow like that. He’d made grown men cry with less. Laila? She just tanked it. She was hurting, that much he could tell, but at this point it seemed more like an annoyance than anything. Nothing that boded well for his chances.
Prayuth did his best to push worrying thoughts out of his head, and went right back on the offensive, closing in with a long stride. ”Trouble keeping up?”
He wasn’t expecting an answer, but he didn’t give her much of a chance for one, anyway. Out came his leg, looking for another low kick to her thigh. Whether or not it hit or missed, he’d quickly draw it back in after and swing it again, this time aiming towards her face with a lightning-fast combination.

Re: Laila Nazari vs. Prayuth 'Pray' Sakda - The Huntress and the Hunted
She hard to give credit where credit was due, that kick of Prayuth's had hurt. A lot. Even now, as she limped away, her thigh muscles protested with every minor movement, sending pain stabbing up deeper into her leg. She clenched her teeth, knowing that she was vulnerable right now-- a vulnerability that Prayuth was taking advantage of, running at her with another low kick...
Spinning back, Laila swiped out with one hand, aiming to catch Prayuth's foot in midair and show her male opponent that she had speed of her own. If she managed that, then she would waste no time returning favour for favour, sending a kick of her own shooting up into Prayuth's exposed thigh. Even if she didn't manage to catch his foot, however, as long as she stayed out of range of his feet, she would be fine...

Re: Laila Nazari vs. Prayuth 'Pray' Sakda - The Huntress and the Hunted
It was too early to throw a party, but so far this was coming out relatively well for Prayuth. He hadn’t done serious damage to Laila yet, but he felt like he’d keyed into a big weakness of hers already. She wasn’t the fastest, and he could make her even slow with his kicks, whittling away at her base. This called for hit and run. Guerilla strikes. It wouldn’t be the most flashy way to win, but he was certain he could pull it off.
But there was a marked difference between not being ‘the fastest’ and being ‘slow’. A fact that Prayuth learned harshly when Laila spun about and swatted his kick out of the air like a fly.
”What-” Before he could correct himself, she was sending out a kick of her own, one that nearly knocked him off his feet. He fell to a knee for a moment, only a moment, before he was able to rise quick, but that put him on the backfoot.
Prayuth was backpedaling now, trying to put some distance between them while he recovered, and he raised his hands in tight defense. Even though he barely knew Laila, she didn't’ strike him as the type to let an opening like this go.

Re: Laila Nazari vs. Prayuth 'Pray' Sakda - The Huntress and the Hunted
Prayuth has been starting to get a little too confident, and Laila wasn't one to let a chance like this go to waste. Her counter worked beautifully, her kick hammering home into her opponent's thigh before she released his trapped leg. As he stumbled back and dropped to one leg, before trying to get up and get into a defensive position. By that time, Laila was already on him.
Running up, Laila faked a clothesline, twisting her body to instead deliver a powerful knee to those abs of his. If it managed to double him over, then she would maintain her momentum, pivoting to drive and elbow into his spine for good measure.

Re: Laila Nazari vs. Prayuth 'Pray' Sakda - The Huntress and the Hunted
Laila liked to play rough. As if Prayuth couldn't have figured that out from her surly demeanor, he kicked reinforced the point. The woman wasn’t just big, she was skilled, which was doubly worrying. Tall women weren’t common in Tension in the AFW, but they weren’t uncommon, either. Women with that size and the ability to make it worse? That was a rarer thing. A more dangerous thing.
He knew he needed to put some daylight between them, make some space. The only problem was that she seemed to know it, too, and closed the gap in a second, coming at him with what he thought was a clothesline. Her fakeout worked. By the time he figured out the true attack, it was already crashing into his stomach, bending him over and knocking the wind out of him. Not enough to put him down, though.
The blow that came right after, however, was more than enough to pull it off. Prayuth crashed to his knees and that was where he stayed for the moment, trying to refill his lungs and get his head back on properly.

Re: Laila Nazari vs. Prayuth 'Pray' Sakda - The Huntress and the Hunted
Laila felt her elbow dig briefly against Prayuth's spine as she jabbed a blow into his back. It had the desired effect, dropping him to his knees and leaving him rasping for air and hurting. But she was just getting warmed up.
Grabbing a handful of Prayuth's blonde dyed hair, Laila hauled her Thai opponent back to his feet, before sliding one arm around his shoulder and another between his legs. Not wanting to give him time to realize what was going on, Laila would lift him up, giving him a showing of just how easily she could lift his weight, and then slam him back down in a simple but effective scoop slam!

Re: Laila Nazari vs. Prayuth 'Pray' Sakda - The Huntress and the Hunted
Goddamn, Laila hit hard. Granted, he wasn’t exactly expecting kiddie blows from a woman who was built like solid stone. She was ripped all over, with a body that few men or women could ever come close to touching. But Prayuth had taken hits from big, strong people before, both in the ring and on the set of his movies. He thought he could take it.
He was wrong. You only had to look at him there, on his knees, aching, to figure out just how wrong he was.
Prayuth began to make a noble effort to rise, and Laila was kind enough to help him out...by grabbing his hair and yanking hard, forcing him to his feet whether his legs were ready for it or not. He wasn’t standing long enough for it to matter either way, though, because she was quick to reach between his legs and lift him up, hefting him like an unruly child.
Before he could dream of making a protest, she dumped him flat onto his back and shook the ring with the impact, getting a short round of applause from the audience at her feet while he rolled around. Somehow, Prayuth thought that was a big waste. Such a simple move, and he could already tell she had a lot more to offer…

Re: Laila Nazari vs. Prayuth 'Pray' Sakda - The Huntress and the Hunted
The ring rocked as Laila slammed Pray down into the mat, giving him a quick demonstration of just how easily she could lift, carry and dump him (though at this point she doubted he needed a demonstration). Getting back to her feet, Laila looked down and saw Prayuth writhing at her feet, the pain obvious from the contortion of his face. He might already be having second thoughts. She hoped he didn't: the last thing she wanted or needed was him trying to bail on this match or fighting at less then his best.
Kneeling down, Laila placed a knee on Pray's chest, still looking down at him as the ref girl started the countdown. "ONE..."

Re: Laila Nazari vs. Prayuth 'Pray' Sakda - The Huntress and the Hunted
Prayuth didn’t know if Laila was trying to be as intimidating as fuck or if just came naturally to her, but either way, it was working well. Disturbingly well. The sight of her looming over him was a dark one indeed, as she kneeled over him and pressed her knee to his chest, as if daring him to kick out of the easy pin.
He would. Of course he would. And he’d do more than that.
Prayuth shot his shoulders up and broke the pin. At the same time, he swung his leg upwards and tried to kick Laila in the face, hoping to knock her for a loop and earn some space.

Re: Laila Nazari vs. Prayuth 'Pray' Sakda - The Huntress and the Hunted
As Laila had been hoping, Prayuth wasn't so easily discouraged. Her Thai opponent quickly kicked out, his movement thrashing a shoulder up...and at the same time, his leg whipped around, too fast to follow, one foot slamming across her temple in a surprise kick.
"UNH!" she grunted, the blow spinning her around slightly onto her hands and knees. She closed her eyes, silently willing the sudden ringing in her head to be quiet, before opening them again, aware that Prayuth had rolled away from her. "Lucky shot. You're not going to get many more," she muttered darkly, again in Arabic.
