Re: Love-Sick
Sayumi's order for her to stop laughing only made the boxer laugh a little more. What kind of order was that, to not laugh? It wasn't like it was anything she could control! Speaking of which: When Cicilia apologized for being sick, her girlfriend looked at her like she was completely insane before remarking that nobody wanted to be sick. Yeah... that was true but her sickness was what was making her so worried, forcing her to go out of her way to take care of her! As much as she appreciated the fact she'd do this for her, any good girlfriends would agree they'd rather they not be in a situation where they had too. She was in no position to argue with her though, just deciding to match those beautiful blue smiling eyes with her own sanguine ones, nodding slightly as she slipped out of the room again.
She let out a shaky sigh followed by a painful cough, her gaze drifting towards the closed, shaded room-widow. By now they had finally gotten all the drapes set up where they needed to be, including these ones... And she smiled... They hadn't been living together for TOO long since Cicilia popped the question, and it made her sickly little heart dance as she was reminded her lover wasn't going to leave her... Those curtains were a reminder of that... They were the first things they put up together in here and that made them emotionally significant.
Sayumi came back in not a couple moments later, placing the cool rag on her forehead, Dulling the BURN in her sinuses caused by her fever a little... Before she could even get in a word of thanks, Sayumi was gone... but not before refilling her water thoughtfully... Even as miserable as she was now, Cicilia was falling ever deeper in love... That blush on her cheeks wasn't just from her fever, that much was obvious. How she even had the energy to feel these feelings was beyond her, but then her girlfriend always did invoke strange and intense emotions no matter what they did together...
The German closed her eyes, pressing herself against the pillow with a soft sigh, attempting to get some rest as her lover cooked for her... Apparently she was out longer than she thought because when she faded back to consciousness, Sayumi had but the tray on her lap, asking how it smelled. Her stomach turned but her mouth watered at the sight of the soup... Sustenance she could keep down! AT LAST! She smiled widely up at her sweetheart, shakily slipping a hand out from under the blanket to take the spoon in her hand.
"It smells divine..." She mumbled, almost entranced by the scent of the canned chicken bringing the spoon to her lips... And it tasted even better... She smacked her lips slowly, a certain flavor catching her attention. Was that love she tasted mixed in there...? She wanted to believe that was it and not some subtle canned ingredient... "It's the best thing I've ever tasted..." Why? Because Sayumi made it of course!

Re: Love-Sick
"Careful it might still be a little hot." The ice cube she had put into the soup helped a bit. Overall it was pretty standard fair. Vegetables, some small noodles, cubed chicken, all she added with the extra rich broth and carrots which added a slight bit of texture. Not raw enough to crunch, not cooked enough to fall apart. Slipped around to the other side of the bed, climbing on top of the sheets to sit cross legged beside Cicilia.
"It's just soup from a can... Mostly." She admitted it freely. If it wasn't just noodles or broth, chances are she didn't cook it on her own. Even while she lived alone she stuck to simple meal, mostly because her kitchen space had been so tiny making anything with real prep was next to impossible. She wasn't what one would call an accomplished chef.
It was a sweet compliment all the same. She wasn't even sure how much of the meal she could actually taste in her sickened state. It made her am leaving though. It was a good feeling taking care of Cicilia like this. Giving her back a little something other than... Well, their usual messing around.

Re: Love-Sick
"But you made it... So that's what makes it good..." Cicilia smiled, taking another sip. No doubt it was still hot and the ice-cube in the center was nearly gone by now but the heat wasn't hostile to her raw throat. That tea really was mixing well with her body (or was it that pill?)! She felt like she could actually get up and walk around on her own if only her head didn't feel like it weighed a hundred pounds! She smiled a little wider as the girl she loved sat down beside her on the bed. Any amount of closeness they shared brought joy into her life, sick or not. As much as she wanted to nuzzle up to her and be held by that beautiful woman, she resisted the urge, instead doing her best to focus on the soup. Unlike the tea, her stomach had a harder time accepting it. Every so often she'd have to stop, see if the nausia would subside... then continue.
It was a long process and the soup was only lukewarm by the time it was finally devoured but with time, she was able to get the whole bowl down and stably so. She was actually quite proud of herself! This must mean she was getting better! If Sayumi stuck around for the whole event, the Boxer would look up at her and smile, showing her the empty bowl.
"Finished..."
The pounding behind her eyes seemed less torturous now... but why was her head and eyes so heavy...?

Re: Love-Sick
Sayumi reached out to place a hand gently on Cicilia's shoulder. A minor show of support and just having a bit more contact. It seemed to cheer her girlfriend up, which was more than enough reason to do it.
She wondered faintly how many times the boxer had been sick since coming to Japan. While she hadn't ever left the island, she heard it was pretty common to fall I'll when you traveled to new places because of varying strains of sickness. She didn't know how true that was though.
Once Cicilia had finished, the girl seemed to glow with pride even showing her the empty bowl. It was too adorable not to get a giggle from her. She gave the woman's shoulder a light squeeze. “You did great.” She meant it. Being sick was no joke. She knew how sometimes just getting up to get something had been a trial.
She slipped onto her hands and knees, popping open the bottle of NyQuil to pour the recommended dosage into the small smokey cup that came with the bottle. Not the greatest taste to chase a warm meal with, but it would help.
“Drink up, this should help you sleep, hopefully so you won't cough a bunch.” She carefully offered the small cup to Cicilia, a palm held up underneath to keep any from spilling. She personally hated the taste of this stuff. It's usefulness however, for her anyway, was beyond questionable.

Re: Love-Sick
She leaned into her girlfriend's shoulder-squeeze, giggling a little as she acknowledged how well she did in keeping her meal down. Could she have ever gotten a sweeter girlfriend...? Encouraging her to finish her meals like this and constantly risking her own health to bring Cicilia just another moment of affection? She was just too perfect... She loved being in love... She loved being in love with Sayumi. Much to the chagrin of her throat, the German let out a yawn, one that ended with a pained expression carved into her face... The worst part about being sick: She couldn't even yawn without causing herself harm... As if noting her exhaustion, the the lavender beauty started pouring the medicine she'd brought with her into the dosage cup it came with, explaining that this would help her sleep. Oh good... finally some solid sleep... She needed this days ago.
She held out her hands, taking the cup in her hands, cringing as the thick smell of medically flavored syrup reached her nose. Sour in the most repugnant fashion, smelling as artificial as it was. Whoever had a reason to hate this stuff was justified in her book, but this wasn't the time to be complaining... It was repulsive but it's effects were not and she needed them right now! Cicilia gave the cup one last disgusted look before gulping down the fluid quickly, her lips curling into a dissatisfied cringe as she desperately tried to get it's taste out of her mouth.
"That... was nasty..." She'd note, stating the obvious. It was time to sleep, then... That's what the medicine was for and was what her body was telling her. Letting out a heavy sigh, she handed back the cup, making sure all the dishes and tray was off her before she scooted back down into the sheets, looking up at her girlfriend with the most loving of gazes...
"...Thank you for taking care of me..."

Re: Love-Sick
Sayumi waited patiently as Cicilia had a rater appropriate reaction to the scent of the medicine. It had a taste to match too which she soon found out. Sayumi tried extremely hard to remain quiet, feeling bad she was laughing at her girlfriend. She couldn't hold it in any longer when she remarked how terrible it all tasted. "Yeah, it's not the best. But it helps, a lot. Trust me." She smiled behind her surgical mask. She took the cup from the boxer, collecting everything on the tray before lifting it out of of her way.
She watched her girlfriend snuggle back down into bed, reaching down to help tug the covers up a bit for her. "You're very welcome... I'm going to let you sleep, okay? If you need anything, just send me a text and I'll come okay? I'll be right in the game room." She brushed back a few strands of Cicilia's hair with a soft sigh. "Don't try to be a hero okay? Just let me handle anything you need. Focus on resting up and getting better."

Re: Love-Sick
Cicilia could see the humor in her lover's eyes before her restraint failed her, a light blush flashing across her already flushed cheeks. She huffed slightly, glad (not really) that Sayumi was enjoying the schadenfreude! Bah, whatever... So long as she was smiling, right...? Whatever had to happen to make that beautiful grin grace her lover's lips would be something she'd gladly endure... even if it's disgusting medicine.
"I believe you." She grinned back, scooting down into her sheets. Seeing what she was trying to do, Sayumi took the tray off the bed, helping her get comfortable again by gently tugging the sheets back over her... She smiled warmly if very tiredly, letting her head sink back into her pillow as she thanked the lavender beauty for everything she's done for her. She nodded her heavy head as her girlfriend stated she was going to leave her to rest, telling her to text her if she needed anything. Whatever she did, DON'T be a hero and do anything herself! It was like they were on the same page... Cicilia was already musing that she might have enough strength on her own to take a shower by herself after she slept, of course with her pain dulled by her medication. She was growing increasingly uncomfortable in her own filth and wanted to feel clean but Sayumi shut that down real quick... Seeing her take charge like this was definitely hot, but more it was sweet... Her concern for her was one of the reasons she's fallen so deeply in love with her... She sighed happily as she felt her sweet-heart's fingers grace her forehead again, brushing her hair back into place again. How she loved her touch...
"...I promise... I'll ask you if I need something..." She confirmed, staring up at her girlfriend with ever lid-drooping eyes... before they finally drifted closed with the swift-striking hand of unconsciousness taking her away right there. Completely out like a light...

Re: Love-Sick
She waited quietly with her girlfriend, watching her drift away in real time. She much have been so exhausted to just drop out like that. Rest would do her good. Sayumi awkwardly popped herself up onto her knees and began to walk herself backwards off the bed on her knees. She slipped herself.off the bed, picking up the stray as she looked Cicilia over one more time from afar.
She tried to make her way out was quietly was possible, twisting the door handle when she moved in then out to subtly shut it again without allowing it to even click. She went about washing herself and everything else off, making sure she disinfected best she could. Covering the pot she made the soup in, she left it out for now. Once it cooled she could put the whole thing in the fridge.
Once she had settled all the big work items away, she went back to the couch, checking her phone just in case. No messages. Booting everything on, she got back to work on her self smash training. She still had work to do.
