The Eager Lion and Grumpy Cat.

"A chance is better then what most get. Take solace in that." Amy said shrugging as she waited for Cat to finish so she could flag down the waitress to pay. Then Cat mentioned Kyoko and Amy scowled though not at Cat her face just went angry as she thought about the question.

"Some chick I used to tangle with in high school. She was annoying then and annoying now, hell the only reason she's half as good as she is is because she spent her college years trying to get to my level. That makes every accomplishment she makes mine by proxy. Anyway my manger found out about our history and thought it would be so 'adorable' if we teamed together. Hence the Pride Queens." Amy said a bit grouchy. "Naturally because of my contract I had to follow along which kept me from teaming with my actual friend Chelsea who's now teaming with the stupid other Northman. Belindolyn or something.."

Catelyn would chuckle a bit as Amy started to explain why she was teamed up with Kyoko, she had to admit it sounded a bit rough, if she didn't really enjoy Kyoko's company or team. The redhead would however chuckle out louder as she heard Amy say that all of the Belly Queen's accomplishments be her own.

" Well, as far as I know you've both faced some of the toughest women in the league. Though, I do think Kyoko as a bit more of an impressive record, if I'm not mistaken." Catelyn said as she would absentmindedly try and work out her own thought process out loud. " Uhm....hehe, nevermind that. " Catelyn let out as she would try and gloss over what she had said and move on.

" That's rough, though from what I've heard, Belinda and this Chelsea girl have a pretty swell team going. They seem to work well together." Catelyn said as she would smile towards Amy, " Maybe we should team up someday."

Amy raised a very noticeable eyebrow at Cat's words there. Though the redhead tried backtracking Amy still felt miffed at the idea. Only reason Kyoko might look more impressive is because she'd been there longer and even then Amy would dispute who looked better. Though Cat dropped it by bringing up another matter almost as quickly as that one mostly about Chelsea and Belinda.

"Well of course they do. Chelsea could work well with anyone so of course she'd carry Northman to whatever success they might find." Amy said looking at her now empty pallet before Cat offered to team with her. "If you want, I'd have to talk about getting boss to allow it. Though I'm curious what would make you think we would make a good team."

Catelyn would smile at Amy as the blonde started to talk about how Chelsea was great, though from what Catelyn had seen the two teammates had been pulling their own weight together. So maybe Amy was just that salty over her loss to Cecilia? Catelyn decided not to bother with it, nodding her head to Amy instead.

"Dunno, but if you aren't a fan of your team with Kyoko, maybe with someone you seem to enjoy the company of? I mean, you did look me up now and took me out to lunch, so I assume you're feeling pretty buddy buddy with me." Catelyn said with a bit of a friendly chuckle following her words.

Amy was not in the best of moods anymore and while part of that was in part too the fact that she was reminded of the fact she wasn't teaming with Chelsea in general she felt this conversation simply grew more insulting to her. Cat did try and bring it back a little and make it a bit better but it wasn't a complete turn around.

"Yeah but I still don't fully decide that per say otherwise I'd you know..not have teamed with her in the first place. Besides the food was technically me trying to apologize for you getting in between me and Cecilia's little scrap. So I'd have done it whether we were chums or not, we just happened to be chums as I did it."

Catelyn would let out an amused "Heeeeh." As she listened on at Amy's reasoning, she was without a doubt quite the character to say the least. Most people probably wouldn't actively hang out with her, thankfully Catelyn was the kind of person who saw past that kind of stuff.

At her core, Amy was a pretty good girl, which was what the redhead saw. " I see I see. Well, thanks for the food at least and the chuminess."

"Hmm? Oh yeah sure whatever." Amy muttered as Cat thanked her for the food. Amy had admitt sly gotten lost in thought about her nice attitude to Cat, a usual 180 to honshe treats most people even ones she respected. Of course she wasn't going to let that e her hearty goodbye.

"Think of it as the part of the perks of picking fights with me. I'll beat you down over and over again but won't do it when your running on empty." she joked looking at her empty plate as she waved her hand to ask for the check.

" Haha, well I'll continue to give you the fight of your life then as thanks for that." Catelyn said as she would throw Amy a light wink of her eye. She would lean back a bit in her seat and look on at Amy as the waitress came over with the check.

When all ways paid and done, Catelyn would rise up towards her feet and offer Amy a handshake. " Looks like when I heal up completely I'll have to work out a bit extra to make sure to put you down for the three count, Amy." Catelyn said as she would give Amy's hand a strong squeezing should she accept her handshake.

"You better cause that thing you bought looked expensive." Amy said taking the check when offered and leaving the necessary amount of cash, and a tip for them. She was probably one of the few people she knew who still carried a bunch of cash on hand but that's mostly because she didn't like having to get up and pay at the counter. Once she was done with that she looked at Cat and accepted her handshake feeling the firm grip as the two locked hands.

"Youll need the extra work to survive, let alone get the three count but I like your enthusiasm, shame I'll have to crush it again." Amy said actually bringing her arm up to pat Cat's shoulder before giving her arm one last firm squeeze. Letting go she would start to make her exit. "See you around Kitty Cormac."

Catelyn would shake her head a little at the words of Amy. " We'll see." Catelyn said with a friendly smile as she would nod her head towards the buxom blond rival of hers. Taking a step back and then getting a pat on her shoulder before a squeeze on her arm.

As she looked over at the table though, she would stop Amy from walking away. " Ah, Amy? You shouldn't leave a tip. It's kinda frowned upon here, you know?" Catelyn said as she would let out a light chuckle towards Amy. " Don't really get why, but unless you want the waitress to run after you in the streets asking you to take the extra cash back, you should probably just take it with you now." the redhead would ass she would smile towards her friend, hopefully saving the Lion some embarrassment before she would start to walk away.
