Makoto Natsuki vs Vanessa York: "Tame the Tomboy" match!

-Fight takes place in a small diner cafe
-No holds-barred
-Fight goes to the verbal submission
-Loser must kiss the winner's foot and spend an evening working at the cafe cooking, cleaning, and doing it all in lingerie while being meek and submissive to the customers, one of whom will be the winner.

Makoto's bare feet tapped against the shiny floor of the diner. Looking at her reflection she spared a few seconds to preen at her hair and black belt.

She was excited. There were so many people at the AFW like her, people willing to put their pride on the line to prove their strength and skill. And now she had another duel on her hands and the stakes were just as extreme as she liked. The loser would have to swallow her pride as a strong, dominant tomboy and spend an evening working in this diner as a meek girly-girl clad only in her underwear.

Her opponent would be Vanessa York, a highly skilled boxer. Makoto wondered how good her ground game was as she waited for her to show.

Vanessa had three questions in mind as she rounded the corner and saw her ‘battleground’ for the evening a - small diner cafe called ‘Tommy’s’. It was a cute place, the sort of cafe you stop by every other week when you’re in a special sort of mood. Nice, old school, old-timey sort of feel.

Regardless, the state of the place didn’t matter. What was keen on her mind, however, was a) who was Makoto Natsuki b) why they were fighting in a cafe in the first place and c) why she of all people had been picked to do this.

She didn’t have much of an answer for A, aside from knowing she was a newcomer. B was something of a mystery, too - she’d been told that the owner let the AFW rent the place out as a publicity stunt, but she couldn’t see how letting a couple of women wreck your restaurant would make anyone but your insurance company happy, much less get more butts in seats. Vanessa didn’t have a concrete answer on C, either, but she guessed it had something to do with her asking for a match for weeks and complaining about not getting enough screen time. Someone in the booking office was a smart ass.

Didn’t matter. Vanessa was here. She was dressed to fight. She was ready to fight. What she was not ready to do was spend her evening playing waitress in her lingerie, which Makoto Natsuki was in for a world of pain.

She entered the cafe and locked eyes on Natsuko immediately - or who she assumed was Natsuki, anyway. It was a fairly safe bet, since the only other person there besides the girl in the karate outfit was the referee.

”One of those days.” Vanessa sighed, locked the door behind her, and made her way over to her opponent, straightening up her tie as she went. ”Hey, there. Makoto, right?” Vanessa smirked and gave her another scan, head to bare toes. ”They let you join the AFW? Looking young, there. What’re you? 16, 17?”

"19." Makoto replied with a smirk. "And how old are you grandma? You like like you're in a good shape. Buttttt I can tell you're probably out of your prime. Not like me though." Makoto shifted into a fighting stance. "Try not to make too much of a mess okay? You'll be the one having to clean up after all."

Vanessa just rolled her eyes at Makoto’s attempt at a taunt. If getting called ‘grandma’ was enough to tick her off much, she would’ve started a fight with 1 out of every 10 people she’d met. ”Aw, look at you, trying to be all raw and tough.” Vanessa snapped her fingers as the referee moved a few feet away, giving them ample space. It wasn’t like she would have much to do in this match, anyway. ”Word of advice? Save the trashtalk for when you’re old enough to actually watch most of the matches in this company.”

Vanessa raised her fists and moved into her orthodox boxing stance, swaying back and forth on the balls of her feet. The girl was dressed the part, but any idiot could dress up in a gi and wear a black belt. Hell, she’d beaten idiots like that on four different occasions. Would Makoto be number 5?

She was curious enough to find out, that was for sure.

Eager to test this, she started to move in on Makoto, her feet sliding along the waxed floor as she worked her way over. The second she was close, Vanessa threw out two jabs, aiming for her opponent’s face. Nothing hard. Love taps. Just getting a good feel.

With a snap of her fingers Vanessa sent the referee girl scrambling behind a counter.

Makoto bounced on her feet, long auburn hair bobbing behind her. "You sure are quick to run your mouth granny. I wonder if you'll be be as quick to say "Please let me refill your coffee Ms. Natsuki."?"

Vanessa surged forward firing two jabs at Makoto's face. The blows were quick, soft, clearly meant to test the waters. Makoto didn't become undefeated in MMA by taking easy shots to the face and she easily blocked the blows with her arm.

Love taps though they were Makoto could feel the power in Vanessa's arms. The no-limits challenger couldn't help but smile. She was the real deal. There was no way forcing her to be a submissive waitress was going to be easy.

Makoto's trained reflexes took over and after parrying the blows responded with a straight punch aimed at Vanessa's gut and a loud KIAA!

Youngsters today. No respect.

Vanessa just shook her head and smirked at Natsuki’s comments, not sure whether she should’ve been irritated or impressed by the teen’s arrogance. She had guts, there was no denying that, as she had no qualms talking smack to a woman with a clear size advantage on her. If she couldn't back any of that junk up, though, Vanessa would have no problem busting that chatty mouth of hers right up.

To her credit, she blocked the blows easy enough, moving with some good speed, not letting the jabs psych her. She even retaliated right away, throwing out a straight. Vanessa had just enough time to retract her arms and absorb the strike with a tight guard, one that left her wincing. Good power behind that one.

But she could give as good as she got. Vanessa took a step back, then lunged forward and threw out another jab, aiming at the same place as before. Instead of following with another one behind it, though, this time she brought her right arm into the mix and came at Makoto with a looping right hook, aiming for the side of her skull.

Vanessa's dual counter made Makoto's eyes widen in surprise. She managed to block the first jab but the following hook landed on the side of her skull.

The force of the blow caused Makoto to skid back and stop awkwardly against the bar's counter...

”Gotcha!”

With the sweet, sweet sensation of a connecting punch, Vanessa watched as the tomboy stumbled all the way to the bar, wide open and begging for a followup. She was eager to give her one, too - so far she’d done a good job of demonstrating the mistake Makoto had made running her mouth, and that lesson was going to continue.

She came in, weaving left and right and left as she neared, only to lash out with a right and left hook in tandem, targeting both sides of Makoto’s face with the crushing blows.

"Damn!" Makoto gasped as she watched her foe bob and weave across the floor. Her balance was broken by the counter digging into her side, it was impossible for her to dodge. She quickly covered her head with her guard and waited for the blows to land.

Makoto got her guard up. Smart move - against most opponents. But few had the sort of reach Vanessa did. Few could hit as quickly and as hard. She could block all she liked. Eventually, the lady boxer would crack open that shell like she was a walnut.

As if to prove her point, Vanessa came in hard and threw a burst into Makoto’s guard, peppering it with a volley of jabs and straights. None of them had much power on their own, but they came in fast, leaving the younger warrior with little time to react without getting smacked in the face. All designed to wear away on Makoto’s defenses, driving her backwards, more and more, losing ground….
