...Holy shit...

I know the internet is all about how great that is.

But to be honest , all I see is a guy that is rebooted then and when with yet another attempt to find a replacement for the Undertaker(or Mick Foley, I don´t even know anymore). He had all the tools as the Eater of Worlds already and still WWE blew it. He will probably defeat Rey Mysterio, Aleister Black, in a non title match Finn Balor and in a creepy upset win AJ Styles and then job at some B-PPV because Roman wins lol.

Am I jaded for thinking like this? Sure. But even the most optimistic WWE fan will probably see how this could realistically happen.

I can't remember The Undertaker ever doing a Mr. Rogers impersonation.

Maybe this can just be its OWN thing and doesn't need to CONSTANTLY be compared to past gimmicks?

It does not even need a comparison to a past gimmick to feel odd for me and make me weary. WWE should indeed be looking for some larger than life gimmicks in opinion, it does not have to be Undertaker 2.0 or Sting 2.0, just something that is not totally childish and it should be able to pull on that string you so clearly felt when you were younger and watched wrestling. I don´t feel that with Bray Wyatt and never felt it after his initial debut because WWE did not want to pull it through and sell him as legitimate contender like the Ultimate Warrior, Kane or Sid Justice. The plots around him simply lacked immersion, with the very notable exception of the Wyatt Family vs New Day of all people.

It is just is a feeling of commercialism, capitalism and minimalism that I can´t shake when I see WWE try something like this today.

Sooo...no one going to talk about the WWE being a bit late to the 24/7 title belt.

I mean, they did it before we did, with the hardcore belt and all.

Still...i kinda like it. Could be fun to see what creative things talent does.

Mainly. I liked that they lowered the lights down for the third hour, made it feel a little more...sporty

Definitely interesting, maybe this will bring back stuff like the brawl in the supermarket.

Ok, as the guy who defends WWE a lot, I'm just gonna say this:

AEW Double or Nothing was pretty great, and if your looking for something non-wwe to support and watch, give it a shot when its on TNT this fall. If you can find a way to watch Double or Nothing on demand or online, do so, its a great show.

Raw tonight...I loved Brock Lesnar dancing and that he's such a dummy he didn't know he had a year to cash in...and Firefly Fun House and Cesaro vs Ricochet was good.

Everything else was terrible. Some of the worst shit ever.
