Tables Match: Belinda Northman Vs. Adrian Kytes

Well, tonight was a bit of a special night then. Belinda was getting a chance to battle it out with the famous Adrian Kytes. A wrestler who stood at or at the very least near the peak of wrestler here in AFW. One of the remaining veterans who held the right to as much respect as one could get around here. After all, she had fought the young Belinda's older sister quite a few times and she actually had a lead on her in terms of their matches against one another. Extenuating circumstances or not, that was impressive in Belinda's eyes.

It also meant that she couldn't slack off when it came to this match. If she was going to reach the top she was going to have to give it everything she had and then some. Though, she usually tried to do that regardless of who she was facing off against. Still, if she wanted to have a bright future in AFW and a chance at the top she would need to a least put up one hell of a fight tonight if not win.

Belinda was already dressed in her wrestling attire, the blue and white top, jacket and shorts along with boots, gloves and that lone elbow pad on her right arm. She stepped out onto the ramp as her new theme started to play out over the speakers and the crowd got riled up as they usually did when Belinda made her way down the ramp. She ran down the ramp at top speed as usual and when she reached the ring she dove right up through the ropes, rolling into the ring in a fluid motion. Rising up to her feet the Swede would make her way up to the nearest empty corner and move up to the middle ropes. She'd wave towards the crowd with a bright smile on her face before jumping back down and settling in her corner. Waiting for Adrian Kytes to join her so they could get this match started.

"I finally get out, they pull me back in." Adrian chuckled to herself as she finished off the last of the wrist tape, this was her first foray back into anything resembling the Hardcore division since she had the lost the title the previous December, and against none other than her good friend's sister. Belinda Northman. Despite living in the same apartment block as Cecilia, the former cosplayer had very little to do with her little sister before now, only hearing the odd bit of news about how she was doing before the current champion decided it was time to start drinking or put Adrian in a headlock. Or both.

Still she couldn't just think about Belinda as just being in Cecilia's shadow, she was her own woman with her own style. She'd fought and won against champions, boasting an impressive 23 and 10 record. Physically she was only slightly smaller and lighter than Adrian herself, and with the family training that would make her strong enough to potentially out-power Adrian if it came to that, not that the Brunette was the physical pushover she once was. Then you had to factor in the match type: Tables matches were less predictable than any other match type, its said in matches that one mistake could be the difference between winning and losing, but the opponent would still have to capitalise on that mistake in any other match type, make the cover climb the cage or ladder etc. Not so much in a tables match, where the wrong tumble could end a match there and then. Tough match to call.

Stepping through the curtain as her theme kicked in, Adrian took the time to soak in the cheers as she made her way down the ramp, climbing up to the top rope to pose before dropping down and walking to the centre of the ring, big smile on her face. If she was at all nervous, she didn't show it.

Belinda leaned against the corner as she awaited Adrian Kytes. She herself had heard a lot of about Adrian, and while she hadn't met her or talked to her all that often....she knew how much Cecilia respected Adrian Kytes as a wrestler and as a friend. This would without a doubt be one of the toughest matches in her life. Something that would force the young Swede to do all she possibly could, pull out all the stops and fight better than ever. It wouldn't be enough to give a 110%, she was going to have to give a 150%. That was how she was feeling right now.

The strange part was that she was feeling up to that task. Her heart started to race as Adrian stepped out onto the ramp to that theme music. She would step forward off of the ropes and start to slowly make her way to the center of the ring.

Once Adrian came into the ring the Swede would nod her head and look on at the brunette combatant. They were fairly evenly sized up to one another. Belinda would move forward and offer Adrian a handshake as she'd place the other hand on her hip. " It's a pleasure to finally face you Adrian. I hope we'll have a good match." Belinda let out as she'd offer Adrian a friendly smile.

At other times Adrian would have hesitated in taking the handshake, thinking that her opponent was just offering one to get a cheap shot in or in Adrian's own case: twist it around into a wristlock to start with an easy advantage. But Belinda was a Northman, and that included having a fair bit of honour. When the match started of course the blonde would probably do her best to stop just short of murdering Adrian but that was a match. beforre it had officially started she could afford to trust her slightly.

Of course if it was a trap then Adrian was going to feel like an idiot for a long time, but she could at least start off friendly and accepted the handshake "Thanks Belinda." She said, trying to not sound awkward "Let's make it a good one, no hard feelings at the end."

Belinda smiled and nodded her head as she took a hold of Adrian hand and shook it firmly. Hearing the brunette's words the Swede couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle in response to them. " No hard feelings. no matter what." Belinda let out as she would then try and slide her hand back and take a step back from Adrian. Giving her opponent some distance as she would nod her head again.

Dropping down into her wrestling stance, Belinda would gesture with her head for Adrian and her to start to circle each other as the Swede would start off going to her left. She'd keep her eyes fixed on Adrian as she raised her hands, still smiling a bit but her expression had turned a bit more serious at the very least. This was going to be a match she'd feel for at least a week...Belinda knew that, and a match she would remember for the rest of her life. She could just feel that.

Adrian matched Belinda's stance and started to circle around the ring, arms raised as the two waited to see who would be the first to blink or the first to charge in but as it turned out, the former hardcore champion had other ideas as she took a sidestep before rolling straight out of the ring to the disappointment of the fans around. The glum feeling was short lived however as Adrian revealed why she had stalled the start of combat, flinging the ring apron up to reveal the sets of tables underneath and hauling them out, sliding two in the ring before she rejoined the action, satisfied that this was now sufficiently furnished for a tables match.

Belinda had her eyes fixed on Adrian, ready to lock up with the yellow clad woman and start this match off...though before Belinda could take that step forward and attempt to lock up and take the initiative in this match...Adrian instead rolled out of the ring. Belinda rose up to a normal stand as she placed a hand on her hip, tilting her head as she would look on at Adrian with a puzzled expression on her face.

Though soon she found out what Adrian was doing, " Man....former hardcore champion.." Belinda mused to herself as she shook her head and waited for Adrian to rejoin her in the ring. The second Adrian was up on her feet though, Belinda would try and move in! Looking to try and grab at Adrian's wrist and try and twist it around behind Adrian back in an attempt to lock in an early hammerlock. She knew she had to feel out Adrian at first....she couldn't take this match recklessly.

Adrian barely had time to dust of her hands before Belinda was on her, not honouring the unspoken agreement of not going after a person when they were doing something else that wasn't actively harmful. Or maybe that only applied before the bell rung, not after. Either way it ended with Adrian getting her arm twisted behind her back in a painful fashion. "Gah!" She let out, trying to twist back and reduce the pressure.

Belinda managed to move in an take a hold of Adrian's arm and yank it behind the former Hardcore Champion's back. Locking in that hammerlock. She soon started to feel Adrian start to try and twist her way out of the hold though....clicking her tongue, the young Swede would try and following along with the twisting and try and keep her hold locked in. Even going as far as attempting to bully Adrian's frame down onto her front on the mat and take a seat on Adrian's thigh. With her hands still trying to keep that hammerlock locked in tightly.

Adrian's struggles were getting nowhere fast with Belinda, forcing the former cosplayer to grab hold of the middle rope for stability, trying to resist being pushed down to the canvas but leaving her doubled over with the blonde having all the room in the world to torque that arm out of the shoulder socket. "Ngghh..." the brunette grunted, trying to think of a good way out of this, she was in too poor of a position to hook her foot back and use that to break Belinda's grip, she'd just end up on the canvas before she'd even got her leg in between the two, but with the Swede up close in personal like this, there was something she could do.

Letting go of the middle rope, she sent her spare hand between her own legs, looking to pull one of Belinda's own to get her to slip and break the hold. It looked like a compromising position but it should do the job.
