William Castur vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Back in Business

Carmen couldn’t see the way William came down from the suplex, but she could hear it well enough, and judging from the hard THUD when he hit and the way he swore after the impact, she felt it was safe to say he’d taken it less than well.

While she was more flexible than many, Carmen didn’t yet boast the ability to arch her back, at least not well enough to secure a proper pinfall. Instead of keeping him held down on his shoulders after the crash landing, she had to release and let him tumble away. But that didn’t mean she couldn’t seize the opportunity.

Carmen rolled over, press her back against William’s chest, grabbed his right leg and pulled to her chest, all while she pushed up on her legs to complete the pinfall. It wasn’t likely get the full count, but she could use it to gauge how much William was hurting so far, and how much more punishment she had to dole out. If nothing else, it would make him waste energy.

The referee dropped down and started the count. ”1…!”

William groaned from the floor. No matter how many times it happened he would never get used to being tossed. He didn't move much even as Carmen rolled on to him. It was still early in the match so he had a decent amount of energy left though. He just wanted some time to catch his breath and would gladly take the short break from Carmen going at him.

"2...!" The referee shouted, signalling that things were getting a bit more urgent. "urrrg...gotta get up." Will mumbled to himself. He wasn't about to get counted out so easily. If nothing else he wanted to show Carmen that he wasn't a pushover.

With all the strength that he could muster Will attempted to kick out of the pin and shove Carmen off of him and to the side. He regretted letting the count reach two before he tried but perhaps the greater urgency of the situation would make him work a little harder. Either way he needed to get his opponent off of him and get back onto his feet if he wanted to win this match.

For a moment, Carmen was worried that William wouldn’t kick out, and that she’d get the pinfall - a strange thing for someone to worry about with their opponent, but there it was. While she wanted a win, she wanted a good win, something she didn’t have to see as a stain on her record. That was the exact last thing she needed right now.

Fortunately, William didn't disappoint her, managing to escape with a whole second left. She didn't let that stop her from resuming her assault, though - after a quick and curt nod, she was right back to it, hauling Will back to his feet with a headlock,

The moment they were both standing, Carmen planted her feet hard on the floor, grabbed Will by the nearest arm, and sent him running off towards the turnbuckle with an Irish Whip, putting some distance between them.

William managed to kick out of the pin and for a second thought that was a success. It was a short lived one though as he soon felt himself being roughly picked back up to his feet. "Nnng come on." He groaned, wishing he got up on his own terms. That wasn't an issue he had long to think about though. As soon as he was standing he was thrown towards the ropes. While he was on his feet now, Will was still feeling some of the effects from the earlier german suplex. He hit the ropes and came stumbling right back towards his foe.

"This is bad." He thought. The last thing William wanted to do was take a big hit from Carmen. He wanted to end his match in one piece after all. He had to think of something if he wanted to stay competitive against the bigger wrestler. Unfortunately since he wasn't quite balanced there wasn't much he thought of to do.

After his previous attempt a clothesline was out of the question so Will decided to try and surprise Carmen with a spear and bring her down to the ground. If there was any way for him to win it would be on the ground and not trying to overpower Carmen while standing.
