Frenemies

Diana made sure to take note, but knew for a fact that besides a rematch with Alaina, she wouldn't be stepping foot back into the ring for a good while. There was moments in ones career when one would feel as if they'd benefit from returning to the basics, and right now if anything Diana was rearing to hit the training mats full time once again.

"Oh god, that..." The topic revolving once more around a certain someone, Diana's eyes once more went a little lazy, as she tried to keep the topic as broad as she could. She certainly wouldn't be mentioning the name.

"Went to find the champ at the time, wasn't exactly expecting a title fight but hell, I got one. I did good, probably better than I actually thought I did, but couldn't quite close it." Finally hopping her figure off the counter, Diana would immediately slump against them, head resting now on the cupboards that had previously stopped her sitting up straight. "I dunno what really happened to that in the end. Someone said to me she got attacked in the middle of the night and lost it. Haven't heard about it since."

Alaina nodded along, knowing that while she never ever cared fer hentai related stuff the idea of a title that could be taken whenever seemed crazy to her. And this coming from a former entropy champion. "I got ya, I guess that is the nature of the beast in regards to a title with a stipulation such as that." Alaina said. There was so much about Tension she didn't know about.

"I guess we all know where I am going from here but what about you? Ya seem to not like talking about yourself and I was curious as to what ya have planned next for yourself."

It seemed that for every thing Alaina didn't know about Tension, Diana didn't know about Friction. Besides those she had already met, you could likely hold the entire roster of Friction up to the Italian and she would not be able to name two, if she was lucky.

"Hmm, well...that is the question." Crossing her arms, Diana's faced switch to that of a woman in serious thought. "Well, besides with you you, I think I'm taking a step back from singles competition. Not entirely of course. I'm just gonna put my focus to the mat room, and just hit the gym for a few months. When I think the time is right to put the sparring pads back on the shelf, who knows. Maybe there will be a belt ready for the taking after all.

Exiting her serious posture, Diana broke into a small laughter.

"I did have ideas for something with Tomko regarding a tag team. I think that might of gone out the window when I speared her in that tag tournament."

Alain nodded. It was probably smart to step back and take that approach. Alaina wished she had done that after she lost her title instead of immediately trying to prove herself, hopping back on and falling off repeatedly. "Smart, that is a good way to go about it. I know if you are as good as you are now you will be a monster when ya come back. Might be almost as good as me." Alaina added with a wink.

"If I can do anything to help you train just call me any time. Also you and Tomko would have been a hell of a team but speaking of time away, she may have needed some after the last match I saw her in." Alaina said rising an eyebrow.

Diana rolled her eyes and dropped her shoulders somewhat from their stern posture, taking the joke on the head, before rolling it back up.

"I'll likely take you up on that. It's just gonna be gym everyday, working and practising everything I can. I've got a small list of some people I'm gonna call on too, because I wanna come back with some fresh stuff along with perfecting what I know." Putting her hand to her face, Diana's body shuddered the tiniest of bits with excitement at the thought of doubling her wrestling repertoire.

"Ehh, I don't really follow Friction, but I heard a little bit. Still, even at a loss, she's one of maybe...I dunno, four, five I suspect that's on that level. It's not like she could ever be made less threatening than she is. Even I'm scared shitless by that charging right at you."

"You already have a varied offense, so adding to that will make you even harder to beat." Alaina said as Diana went over her training plans. It made sense and she really seemed intent on sticking to her plans. "Rebecca Tomko is a monster, but she is smart and skilled as well as raw power. Like, to me she is not just at the top but is a prime example of "That lady" a lot of women on the roster strive to be."

While she didn't say it openly, Alaina was also happy that Diana would train with her and looked to Alaina to help her come back. Trying to bounce back was something Alaina seemed to know. She did it once, and was certain she could do it now. So could Diana.

Diana already had quite an interesting list of sparring partners mentally recorded, women she had both met inside the ring and outside of it. And one or two who she had not met at all. She wouldn't be seeking mentors or trainers though so much as sparring partners; women who she could teach, as could teach her. If she wanted to be patronised, she'd simply go back to her past life in Italy.

"So what are you actually planning for next?" Changing the topic back to Alaina, Diana leaned forward a tad. "You going back for another shot at Enthropy? Or you going for a different belt or something? Didn't I hear your in a tag?"

Alaina ate more chocolate and leaned against a counter, thinking for a second. She knew she wanted a belt... but could not commit to which belt she wanted. "Julia and I are a tag team, yeah. I would love to take down Imperial Order to get tag gold. I think that belt is the one I want the most but if that doesn't happen I want to build myself up and take that Friction Title some day." Alaina said with a shrug.

Both titles were on her list of titles she wanted... but deep down she wasn't sure which she wanted more.

Diana's eyes had slowly begun to scour the kitchen, as if to lay her eyes upon more food. A fighters diet was a delicate thing; maintaining oneself on a careful balance of the right carbs and proteins was not something to be disrupted without consequence. Diana had done just that, with half a box of chocolates before the clock had even struck ten minutes past her arrival. Not that she cared; soon enough she would be dedicating herself solely to the maintaining and developing of her figure.

And not that it mattered, either. Diana could likely eat lazy for a week and a half and still maintain that toned physique. She wouldn't at all hide the fact she was still rather peckish.

"Mmh..Mhm..." Suddenly snapping her eyes and attention back to Alaina, the Italian stopped herself for being rude too long. "See, tags a funny thing. Ask me if I wanted a tag match before I came here, I'd of likely said no. Own merits and all that jazz, not relying on someone else. But after tagging with Tomko, even if it ended in disaster...I dunno...It was still sorta...fun..." Tilting her head again, Diana would once more scan for a speck of food she had missed prior. One thing was certain; after her meeting with Alaina, she was filling that appettite which had now devloped.

"And err...why not both? Singles and tag? Not like your forced to stick to one at a time..."

"True, I just like to focus on one thing at a time. Zero in, and crush anything between myself and the goal." Alaina said with a shrug.
"You of all people should appreciate that line of thinking."

Alaina sighed and looked around. She wanted to get in the ring again and soon. "So when do we settle our score?"
