Full Squared Circle

Alaina felt like she had stunned Valley enough to try something else. Alaina tried to maneuver one hand around Valley's shoulder and the other between her legs, trying to lift Valley up off her feet! Alaina loved scooping women up, something about holding them up and being in control was empowering.

From here Alaina would turn away from the ropes and march to the center of the ring, her fellow Californian held up like a trophy. Alaina would grunt as she lift up and slammed Valley back to the mat as hard as she could to try to keep up her start!

It was a funny thing, but from an early point Valley was having a hard time feeling that this was a spar.

The word ‘spar’ seemed to imply something a bit a softer than what Alaina was coming at her with. At the very least, it wasn’t the kind of thing where you went in expecting to be paraded around the ring like a toy doll, but that was precisely what was happening to Valley, right from the outset. Until Alaina decided to hurl her down into the mat, at least.

She hit hard, crashing to the mat with resounding force, and the impact sent pain throughout her spine. Valley hissed and rolled to her side, nursing the spot where she’d landed, her eyes scrunching up.

Not a promising start. She’d come back from worse, but still...

Alaina sent Valley to the mat and took a deep breath. She had Valley down and knew she had to keep her there. Even if no one was watching Alaina had to prove to herself that she could handle Valley. The rest of the world would never know it but at least she had validation for herself.

To that end Alaina tried to roll Valley onto her stomach and sit down on her, their ample backsides touching as Alaina leaned forward to lock her hands underneath Valley's chin. The amazon was trying to lock in the camel clutch on the champ and pull back, hoping that Valley wasn't able to work her way out of it or keep it from being securely locked in!

Less than a minute in, and Valley was hurt, on the floor, and in serious danger of being put into a submission hold from a far stronger opponent.

No, this was not going well.

The moment Alaina sat down on her back - God, she forgot how heavy this woman was - Valley knew what was coming next. Unfortunately, knowing her fate and stopping it were wholly different things, and there was little she could do to stop the Amazon from clenching the hold.

In a way, it wasn’t so bad. Valley was naturally flexible, and could take the hold far better than most would. It was still far from pleasant, however, and there wasn’t much she could do to escape at the moment. She wasn’t about to submit, but it was definitely going to take a toll. One she could ill afford.

Alaina grabbed on and pulled back, applying as much pressure as she could! Alaina saw that they were close to the rope and if Valley was able to maneuver at all she would get the rope break. Valley was smart and flexible, so that was very likely. Alaina kept up on the pressure ad took a gamble. She had to adjust her position and move them away from the ropes.

Sure it sounded easy in theory but easing up and moving meant that Valley would have a window of opportunity to counter the hold or escape. If they stayed put Valley would work her way out for sure.

It was a gamble Alaina had to take. She eased up and began to move them, hoping Valley didn't have any tricks up her sleeve!

Patience. Patience

That was a big thing Valley’s mother had stressed with her in the early days, when she was still working out her style and figuring out the best way to carry herself in the ring. She tended to rush into things, fall into obvious traps because she was too busy rushing forward, tap out of situations she didn’t really have to because she didn’t take the time to find a way out.

Good advice. It was easier to consider it, however, when she wasn’t being bent in half by the Amazon, of all people.

Luckily for her, Alaina gave her a moment’s reprieve soon enough, and she was all too eager to seize it. The second she had some slack to work with, she jerked about and tried to throw an elbow towards her captor’s head, looking to clock her right in the jaw.

Just one more foot and then the ropes will be too far for her too..."Argh!"

Alaina groaned as the fast, hard strike caught the corner of her jaw perfectly! The amazon let go, stumbling back and falling down to a seated position on the mat, rubbing her jaw! "Ugh... damn it..."

Huh. That worked.

Valley scrambled forward after Alaina let her go, heading towards the nearest turnbuckle to pull herself up. She needed something to lean on badly - her back was already hurting enough to slow her down. Not by too much, but even a little drop could spell disaster with a determined Amazon coming after her.

Instead of diving back into the fray, Valley stood up and leaned against the turnbuckle, only pushing out again when Alaina stood back up again. She went back into her guard and began circling once more, far more cautious and careful than she’d been only a second or two ago.

Alaina saw Valley in the corner, making her way out when Alaina got up. valley was playing the cerebral game. Alaina knew that Valley was waiting for her to make another mistake, and this time Valley would capitalize big time. Alaina couldn't let that happen, could she?

The amazon shook her head a second as the women circled. Alaina tried to move in to grapple again, but instead of testing strength she would try to maneuver into a position to put Valley into a side headlock!

While getting put into a side headlock was hardly her idea of a good time, Valley Doll felt some relief when Alaina grabbed her with it. This was her bailiwick, after all. This, she could work with.

She pushed forward a bit, testing how strong the hold was, before she sprang into a course of action. With a strong pull, she stepped back while she was still in the hold, moving back far enough to hit the ropes. From there, it was all wrestling boilerplate: She used the ropes’ bounce to surge forward, then hit the brakes and pushed at Alaina’s back in the same motion, attempting to free herself from the move and send the Amazon off running at the same time.
