Grace Allen vs Maria Tempesta

Finally, it's time.
Grace Allen relished the pre-match jitters usually, that spike of excitement and adrenaline that proceeded a match. Standing there behind the curtain, about to walk out on stage when the time was right, she could hear the crowd buzzing on the other side and felt a bit more nervous then usual. That was to be expected, of course, this was her offical Friction debut and she was determined to make a good impression, both on the fans and the promotion as a whole.

Finally, her theme music erupted throughout the arena, the thumping beat of "I Made It" and Grace stepped through the curtain and made her way down the ramp as the announcer went through introductions.

Wrestling Attire:

She slapped hands with fans as she walked briskly towards the ring, drawing more then a few stares the way her leotard hugged the curves of her body. Grace vaulted over the top rope with ease in a show of athleticism and walked to the opposite corner to await her opponent, going through a few last second stretches.

Grace didn't have a captive audience for long, however. 

Spoiler:

A heavy metal track growled over the music system as a new figure strode into the arena. A mixture of wary cheers and tentative boos were heard from the crowd as Maria Tempesta strode into the arena. Raising her hands to the crowd, she ran them through the air and gyrated her hips, teasing them with a little dance, before striding down the ring. 

Watching her soon to be opponent from afar, Maria Maria grabbed the bottom rope and pulled up on it, slowly rotating herself upside down so that she was briefly alluringly tangled in the ropes like a pole dancer, flashing her fans a wink. The crowd, naturally, ate it up. Flipping over, she dropped to the mat and stared at Grace before stepping forward, looking her opponent up and down and smiling, visibly liking what she saw.

"So you are Grace, huh?" she said, setting a hand on her hips. "You have a nice body. It is shame I'll have to break it."

What a show off...

Grace Allen mused as she watched her opponent, Maria Tempesta, make her way to the ring with a great deal of style and sensual flare. Even so, she still enjoyed the view and couldn't blame the crowd for going nuts, despite the initial mixed reaction, and that entrance? That was just cool, end of story.

She smiled at Maria's words, half compliment and half threat that it was, standing with her arms crossed just beneath her breasts.

"I'm glad you like what you see. Means you'll get somethin' out of it when I'm pinning you down for the three count."

The bell rang and the match officially began. Grace raised her arms and began to circle, her quick movements and light steps revealing a ring style that was, in essence, quite similar to a traditional luchadora's. Unless Maria went on the offensive first, Grace would dart in after a few seconds, closing the distance between them and looking to tie up with her opponent, collar and elbow.

The bell rang, and in an instant, Maria was on her feet, rap8dly circling her and looking for an opening. Grace was circling as well, raising her arms for a classic lockup to get the match rolling. Grinning, Maria raised her arms to mirror Grace's in acceptance, before darting in to tie up with her.

There would be no tricks to this grapple: Maria would simply aggressively tie up with Grace, pushing and twisting against her in an effort to force her towards the corner as she tried to see just how strong her opponent was.

She smiled as Maria took up her challenge, arms lacing together as the two women locked up, testing each other's strength. Grace Allen matched her opponents intensity, violently pushing forward, trying to drive Maria back to the opposite corner. They seemed to be evenly matched, with Grace giving way a few steps only to push back with renewed focus.

Knowing she wasn't going to overpower the other girl in a straight head to head contest, Grace changed tactics. With a single sudden motion she tried to twist to her right and break the tie up, at once grabbing for Maria's left wrist and attempting to pull it behind the luchadora's back in a classic hammer-lock.

Maria let a short exhalation escape her clenched teeth as she and Grace locked up. The other girl was strong, only going back a couple of inches, and for a moment the two of them were pushing and straining against each other, almost cheek to cheek-- the feeling of Grace's strained breath on her bare shoulder told Maria that Grace wasn't having an easy time of this either.

Then, suddenly, Grave darted behind her, twisting her arm in a hammer lock. A hiss of pain escaped her lips. "Not bad," she said, still smiling a little, "but not good enough either." Darting low, Maria would try to drop behind Grace and reverse the hammer lock with one of her own!

Grace took a satisfaction in the hiss of pain she'd managed to draw from Maria's lips, twisting the other girls arm behind her back in that painful position and using it to control her. Not to mention, revealing that Grace was no slouch when it came to her wrestling fundamentals.

"I'll show you good enou-" She hadn't time to so much as get the words out before Maria dropped down and reversed the hold, wrenching Grace's own arm behind her back. This time it was Grace's turn to give a pained breath through her teeth, wincing at the pressure, practically standing on her tip-toes to avoid it. "Okay, not bad yourself!"

She said, before bending her knees and reaching up with her free hand to wrap her arm around Maria's head. If she managed that, Grace would pitch here weight forward in an attempt to throw Maria over her shoulder with a snapmare!

Maria's grin widened a little as she managed to dart behind Grace, twisting her arm behind her back. As far as technical wrestling went, this was basic chain wrestling 101-- nothing particularly flashy, just a show of skill. There was only one way that Grace could get out of this...and Maria was already anticipating it.

"Oh, I'm plenty bad," Maria replied with a lascivious grin...just before Grace grabbed her by the arm. The moment she was pulled forward for a snapmare, Maria would try to land on her feet, and use the advantage of surprise to spin around and monkey flip Grace over her in turn! Otherwise, if Maria failed, then she would, quite simply, be nailed hard by her opponent's snapmare.

Grace Allen was enjoying every moment of the back and forth. It'd been a long time since she'd traded holds with a skilled opponent who's style seemed to compliment her own. Now the only question was who would draw first blood, so to speak.

Grace gasped softly as Maria landed nimbly on her feet after the attempted snap mare, leaving her almost no time to react before Maria spun around and countered. The next thing Grace knew, she was sailing through the air, courtesy of a monkey flip!

Instinct saved her more then anything, tucking her body and rolling forward, landing on her feet much as Maria had done moments before. Instead of turning, Grace ran forward towards the ropes, jumping onto the middle rope and rebounding straight backwards towards her opponent, looking to nail her with a spring-board back elbow! The very nature of the move made it risky, flying blind with her main hope being to catch Maria off-guard.

If there was one thing that Maria, if she was honest with herself, appreciated, it was a skilled opponent. More and more, it seemed like Grace was proving to be just that, and as Maria watched, she proved it yet again by landing on her feet with an almost catlike...well, Grace. This was going to be fun.

Already, Grace was breaking into a run towards the ropes. Instinctively, Maria ran after her. As Grace bounced off the ropes, though, Maria, instead of stopping, kept running, aiming to grab Grace's outstretched arm, hoping to fall back and using her grip on Grace to monkey flip her onto her front! If she was only a fraction of a second too slow, however, then she would eat a faceful of elbow and go crashing hard onto her back...
