Sonic Boom vs. The British Bombshells

"You two are gonna love these two, even if ya are about to pummel them into oblivion." Peggy said to both Alaina and Julia as they were backstage. All three women were geared up in their wrestling attire although only two would be seeing action. Peggy was accompanying Sonic Boom to the ring but would sit at the announce table. She was now friends with Gemma, and had no plans to interfere.

She was also confident that she wouldn't need to anyway.

Alaina smiled and nodded to Peggy and slapped Julia's backside to get a reaction out of her. "They're gonna find out what its like to go up against the best tag team in Friction!" Alaina said excitedly just as they were being called out by the sound of their music playing. Alaina came bounding out and high fived people along each side before she took up her position in the ring, flexing her impressive arms for a second before swaying her hips a bit, garnering cheers from the crowd. Julia was doing her thing as well and Alaina felt good about their chances tonight.

Peggy meanwhile slipped over to the announce table and put a headset on. "Time to diversify things a bit isn't it? I like everyone involved so I will just call it like I see it!" She said to the other announcers who seemed very surprised to see her there.

Backstage, Gemma's heart was completely a-flutter. She bounced up and down on her heels, trying to keep her body spry and limber for the contest ahead. It didn't help Gemma's nerves any that the last several- okay, the last "every"- British Bombshells match had ended in spectacular humiliation for herself and her partner, Holly Matheson. But tonight, Gemma wanted desperately for this match to end with her and her friend's hands held high. Tonight, they were going up against prime competition- Alaina Suanders and Julia Rogers, Sonic Boom!

If Holly was feeling the same pressure, she wasn't showing it. An odd reversal, considering that the posh Brit was usually the more uptight of the two. Instead, Holly smiled, pulled Gemma out of her warm-up position, and extended her hand toward the ring entrance. It was time to put it all on the line!

When their music hit, the British Bombshells exploded onto the entrance ramp. Taking a moment, the Bombshells posed on the entrance ramp. One arm held high each, before bringing them swinging down and backward in wide arcs to slap one another on the bum. Holly and Gemma laughed it off, stepping with pep down the entrance ramp. It was then, however, that Gemma's eyes caught sight of Peggy MacIntyre, down at commentary. Gemma's throat tightened, blinking hard. It was hard enough to face competition at the level of Sonic Boom. Now, Gemma would have to do so in front of her greatest rival, a woman she had just patched things up with.

Wiping their feet on the apron, the British Bombshells stepped into the ring. Holly seemed a bit nervous, shaking her head side to side, but not moreso than before any of the Bombshells' other matches. Gemma, however, was rubbing her hand over her belly in an effort to calm the butterflies.

Seeing her partners nerves Holly put a hand gently on Gemma's chest. "How 'bout I start us off, this go-round?" Holly asked, with a smile.

"You sure?"

"Oh, yeah," Holly responded, with a wink, "I can get us rolling on this! Besides, I've got the best tag partner in the world looking out for me, yeah? So what's one more match? We few, we happy few, eh?" Gemma laughed, nodding her head. Her heart was pounding, maybe it was a good idea to let Holly start this one off. Taking her spot in the corner, Gemma white-knuckled the ring rope. Holly turned to face their opponents. Taking a low stance, she moved toward the center of the ring, ready able and willing to give this match a good go!

As confident as Julia had been from the beginning that Sonic Boom had the potential to take the tag division by storm, she hadn’t expected things to take off as quickly as they were. Lately it seemed like new teams were being thrown at them left and right to the point that it was starting to become difficult to keep track of it all. Tonight was no different, but at least this time they had Peggy there reassuring them of the nature of their opponents.

Once their music hit Julia had burst onto the stage with Alaina, smiling brightly and beaming confidence as she high fived as many fans as she could en route to the ring. Once by the apron she climbed unto it and slung herself over the top rope, then climbed onto the middle rope of the nearest corner and cupped her hands around her mouth.

“WHAT’S UP, TOKYO?!” she called out, sparking a wave of cheers from the crowd. Once it died down she dropped back to the mat and moved over to their corner with Alaina to watch their foes come in next, then gave Alaina a light fist bump on the shoulder to get her attention.

“Want me to kick this one off, or would you rather show ‘em what ya got first?”

Alaina slapped Julia on the back as she climbed through the ropes to the outside. "Teach them what it really means to fly girl!" Alaina took up her position and grabbed onto the ropes leaning back and swaying her hips a bit to fire up the crowd in her teams favor. She looked back and gave the crowd a wink.

Peggy was on the outside watching as Julia and Holly kicked off the match. She was rooting for Sonic Boom but was sure the Bombshells would make a good showing for themselves.

Once Alaina moved out onto the apron, Julia smiled and walked up to the middle of the ring to meet Holly, reaching a hand out toward her. “Nice to meet ya. Let’s make this a good one!” she said in a friendly tone as she waited to see if her foe would shake her hand. She knew that against certain people in this league, such a sign of respect was essentially just inviting a sneak attack. But from the way the looked and the way Peggy had talked about them, the cowgirl had a feeling these weren’t those types of opponents.

Whether Holly shook her hand or not, Julia would then back off a bit and stretch her legs out, now just waiting for the bell to ring to kick this match off! She was excited to see what the British Bombshells had in store for them, and she knew Alaina was. But even more than that, Julia was excited for the chance to show these new foes just what Sonic Boom was capable of...

Holly watched Julia carefully, as she approached the middle of the ring and offered her hand. The buxom British Bombshell wasn't used to shows of sportsmanship in an AFW ring, but it seemed like the blonde actually meant it. Holly's chest swelled a bit as she took a deep breath. Looking like a timid rabbit, Holly reached out, and quickly shook Julia's hand. Holly nodded her head, letting her bangs dance across her forehead.

Julia seemed to dart away quickly, warning Hollly to look out for her opponent's footwork, with this one. Gemma told her that Julia was an impressive high-flyer, fast and confident. Holly shook her head, letting her long raven locks bounce around her shoulders. Definitely something to watch out for, she told herself. Holly looked quite serious, focused squarely on her opponent. Tonight was about more than wins and losses, for the British Bombshells. After the humiliations they'd suffered, recently, tonight was about redemption!

The second the bell rang, Holly lunged forward! Redemption on her mind, the Brit reached out and tried to lock her opponent into an elbow-and-collar tie up. If she could get it locked in, Holly would pull Julia's face tight against her ample bosom, trying to take control of her opponent early on, in the match up. Holly knew she couldn't keep up with Julia if she got moving. If she was going to have any hope of that redemption she desperately needed, Holly would need to ground her opponent early!

Julia’s judgement about Holly seemed to be proven right, quite fortunately. The handshake went off without any issues at all, and both combatants separated into their corners once more to give this bout the clean start it rightfully deserved. Again, the cowgirl’s lack of knowledge regarding her foe’s capabilities drove her curiosity, making her wonder just what she’d see when the bell rang.

As for herself, Julia had intended to initially approach this with a slow, methodical pace. That way she could figure out just what she was up against before really letting loose. But when the bell rang and Julia started to take an easy step or two out from the corner, it quickly became apparent Holly had something very different in mind. The girl came right at her, and with little time to consider her options Julia braced herself before throwing her own arms out, locking up with the oncoming Brit, only for her face to then get pulled right into Holly’s breast.

“Mph!” she grunted, her voice muffled against the soft orb. A small blush formed on her cheeks, hidden beneath her mask. But Julia wasn’t so flustered she couldn’t will herself to retaliate. She reared her arm back then thrust her forearm against Holly’s stomach, hoping to get the girl backing up toward the ropes. If she could get them there, Julia would then put a hand against her foe’s lower back and try to shove her off toward the ropes on the opposite side of the ring.
