A young referee, Jessica, only 19 years old, a former teen model with a passion for wrestling, but no training or natural talent, was backstage, just putting on her ring gear for her first day on the job, her first show in AFW. Unlike the other referee girls, who often wore the striped shirt and black pants, Jessica went for more...noticeable attire, her long brown hair pulled into a ponytail, a striped tank top and black bikini bottoms, showing her slim, toned, and sexy legs, her fit body pressed tight against the shirt. Sure, it was a bit out there, but hey, she had been hired for her looks after all, why not embrace it?

The other referees were taking their sweet time getting ready, which was fine. From what she had seen of the schedule, the new Hardcore Champ had requested time at the start of the show to cut a promo, so nobody expected a match to start for the first 20 minutes or so...at least until a production agent suddenly burst into the room and started looking for somebody.

"Goddamnit! These fucking wrestlers and their impromptu matches! Whose dressed and ready?"

Jessica, gulping, finished tying her shoes and raised her hand "Um, I am sir!"

"You're the new girl right? Fine, whatever. It's a hardcore title match, so no count outs, rope breaks, or DQ's, now get out there, NOW!"

"EEP! GOT IT!"

With a yelp, she got up and ran from the referee's locker room towards the stage.

Meanwhile, back at the actual ring, Liberty was charging full steam ahead down the ramp, while the facepainted Ace took her title belt off and, rather than use it as a weapon, tossed it onto the mat. She was tempted of course, but no. This bitch, Liberty, may have been a former champ, but she was gonna learn the hard way that her time had passed, and it was Ace's time now, and she could handle her even without weapons.

Once Liberty got in the ring Ace charged in herself to meet her head on, trying to thrust her knee towards the woman's stomach!

Liberty wasn’t exactly known for her blazing foot speed, but she could move quite fast when she wanted to, and she damn well wanted to move fast right now. Her eyes were locked on Ace with cold fury - she didn’t really have as much against her as she’d let on, was even impressed by her match for the title at Avalanche. If she’d gone for any other belt, Liberty would’ve been cheering on.

But the hardcore belt was her baby. Hers. She’d earned it first, and it was time she brought it home

She slid into the ring, popped up to her feet, and cocked back her fist, fully intending to crack Silver Ace in the face with her mighty mitt. And she would’ve, too, if not for that pesky knee in her stomach.

Air flew from the former champion’s face as she staggered back, bent on half by the sharp blow. It hurt, more than she thought someone Ace’s size was capable of, but would it keep her down? No. Fuck no.

Liberty surged forward a moment later, full speed ahead, attempting to wrap her thick arms around Silver Ace’s waist and ram her into the nearest turnbuckle. ”Mess with the bull-”

Normally, the fact that she was in a match, defending the hardcore title, against none other than the first ever hardcore champion, would make Ace thrilled, and more than eager to see what she could to, and in a way, she was still excited for this, and eager to see what she could dish out.

But, with all fairness to Liberty, Ace didn't want her. She wanted River Styx. Styx was her goal, and right now, Liberty had just made herself the biggest obstacle towards getting that goal.

But, it seemed Liberty was intent on being a stubborn pain in the ass kind of obstacle, as she quickly shook off Ace's knee and charged into her, ramming the lighter girl into the turnbuckle, smacking her back into it, driving the wind out of Ace's sails as her shoulder dug into her exposed stomach!

Meanwhile, Jessica continued her run, nearly getting lost in the large backstage area, getting closer to the entrance ramp, hoping nobody tried to go for a pin before she got there!

”-and you get the horns!”

Liberty was going to like Silver Ace’s body, she could tell that right away. It was just perfect for this sort of thing - svelte and slim, tight and taut. In another setting, she might've been trying to get a babe like this under the sheets. Tonight, though, she was more interested in the way the current champion’s body folded under her impact, crushed between her in the turnbuckle.

Liberty was going to make sure she stayed there, too, as much as possible. She straightened up and pressed Silver Ace against the corner with arm, holding her in place while she pulled the other arm back, balled her fist tight, and tried to hit her opponent in the face with the same punch she'd been going for just a few seconds ago.

In truth, power stuff was probably Ace's biggest weakness. She didn't lack muscle of her own, but she had a slimmer, sleeker frame and, while her girlfriend Valley Doll loved and adored it, it did give her a disadvantage going into matches with girls with more power.

As if to prove that point, Liberty threw a hard punch right into her face, hard enough that it actually cracked her face paint, hitting her right between the eyes, rocking her head back, a small explosion going on in her eyes. Her body slumped back a bit, chibi Gallium Hearts floating in her vision, thrown for a total loop!

The audience winced away at the blow, and rightly so - it landed full on, complete contact, right in the middle of Silver Ace’s face. It was sloppy, but that didn’t make it any less powerful. Anyone who doubted that only needed to look at the glassed-over look in the hardcore champ’s face.

And Liberty was just getting started.

”C’mere.” While Ace was stunned, Liberty reached down and wrapped her arms around the smaller wrestler’s waist, grabbing hold and pulling her in. For a moment, the crowd thought she was going for some kind of move. A suplex, maybe. A bearhug.

Nope. Liberty’s aim was simple: she just wanted to lift Ace up, throw her over the ropes, and toss her to the outside of the ring.

How ironic that there was an upcoming World Cup Battle Royal. Ace had considered entering, but Gallium had insisted on making her return to the ring in the match, and Ace had backed down to let her.

Perhaps that was for the best, as, if this had been the opening of that match, well, Canada wouldn't have lasted long, as Ace was tossed out of the ring, letting out a yelp as the Hardcore champ bounced off the ring apron and fell onto the floor below, groaning and holding her side.

Up and over she went. Plus, Liberty managed to cop a feel on Silver Ace’s butt in the process. So far, this was coming up great.

”Woooo!” Liberty pumped her fist into the air, receiving a modest response. Certainly not the resounding roar she was used to, though. She’d always been a fairly controversial figure in the AFW, never afraid to speak her mind and lay it all out, but even so, she usually had some solid support from the hardcore community. She figured she would some of that today, but they were coming off more lukewarm than anything, as if they liked her but didn’t like what she was doing…

Whatever. Liberty pushed those thoughts aside as she made her way through the ropes and onto the apron, standing above the fallen champion. She was just lying there, groaning, looking oh-so open and vulnerable. It was an opportunity that Liberty simply could not ignore.

So, with only the briefest hesitation, Liberty jumped off the apron with arm raised, attempting to come down Silver Ace from above with a hellish elbow drop.

Ok, maybe, MAYBE, Ace had underestimated Liberty when she came out, and MAYBE there was a reason she was the first ever hardcore champion.

The drop hurt like fuck, but the shock helped clear her head after that hard punch, enough for her see Liberty, in mid air, falling down towards her with an elbow!

Unable to move out of the way, Ace let out a loud "OOF!" as the elbow sunk into her chest, causing her legs to kick in response, spittle flying from her open mouth as she gasped, turning onto her side, in an almost fetal position as she coughed and wheezed from the mighty blow.

Liberty wasn’t exactly a science major - not an idiot in the classroom, but PE had always been more of her thing, never caring much for the lab. Even so, she could grasp the simple scientific concept of mass and acceleration equaling force. When she jumped up and came down and her weight was behind it all, any living thing beneath her was going to have a bad day. In this case, it just so happened to be Silver Ace.

Granted, the impact wasn’t all fun for her, either - she landed hard on her hip, sending a jolt of pain through her body, and she hurt her arm when the force traveled up it. But it wouldn’t be a hardcore match if she wasn’t hurting herself and her opponent at the same time. And besides, Ace was getting the worst of it.

”Oh, that sounded nasty.” Liberty chuckled and rolled over to her knees. She gave Silver Ace a pat on the side as she wallowed, enjoying the sight more than a healthy amount. ”Lemme see if I can make it worse, eh?”

Liberty got to her feet, then kneeled by the ring apron and lifted it up. She gave the audience a quick thumbs up, then ducked under the skirt and started to root around in the darkness, looking to see what goodies she could get her mitts on.
