Liberty Vella was bored.

That was a weird thing for her to be at any time, really, but it was especially weird at the current moment, as she made her way down the entrance, surrounded by thousands of cheering fans, all while one of her favorite songs played over the loudspeaker. She was decked out in her classic ring gear, she was ready for a brawl, and she was well rested after a bit of a hiatus. She should’ve excited. She should've been bursting at the seams.

She. Just. Wasn't.

Oh, she had a smile on as she made her way to the ring, waved to the crowd, pumped her fist, did her best to keep the spirits up. But something was missing on the inside.

It could’ve been the fact that this was a standard match, when Liberty was really craving a hardcore bout. Vanilla when she had a taste for chocolate.

It could’ve been the fact that she was still sore after she blew her crack at the hardcore belt, knowing full well it’d be a long time before she had another chance.

It could’ve been the fact that she was on losing streak.

Whatever the case, she found herself needing something when she rolled into the ring, and she couldn’t put a pin on exactly what it was. As she bounced about the ring and her music began to fade, she wondered if she might be able to get some of her mojo back in her next match against...huh. Who was she fighting again? Should’ve paid more attention to the card.

Estela was stretching backstage, her ascend into superstardom....wasn't as great as she envisioned it. Getting impatient with the lack of success she was having, she decided that this match she had to get even more flashy with her moves tonight. Keeping her leg up on a crate, grabbing her toes as she leaned into it to stretch out her leg muscle, which she knew that she was going to need for her match, she would hear her theme music beginning to play.

Despite her lack of success weighting down on her mind, she was never going to let anyone else see that it was bothering her this much as her lips curled into an ever confident smirk as she strutted her way onto the stage. Never without a lack of confidence, Estela showed that each of her step was filled with sass as she made her way down to the ring, seeing that her opponent was a lot more heftier than her. It would make things a little problematic, Estela knowing that if her opponent were to get her hands on her it wouldn't be pretty for her.

Her speed, her dazzling speed, was going to be a big factor in her winning this match as she climbed up the stairs. Standing on the apron next to the corner, Estela would bounce off of the bottom rope to propel herself on to the top corner buckle, laying on the ropes in a lackadaisical manner as she smugly looked across the ring to her opponent as she continued to lay ever so cockily.

Oh, boy. Liberty wasn’t liking the way this was starting off, right from the bat.

She sighed as her opponent - Estela, if the name she was vaguely remembering from the card was right - came down to the ring, full of confidence with each step. A lot of confidence. Way too much for someone who was new to the AFW and hadn’t done anything to earn it. She hadn’t even stepped into the ring, hadn’t said a single word to Liberty, and she wa already getting the former hardcore champ’s dander up. Not a good sign.

Then she came into the ring. Or, to be more accurate, she jumped over the ropes and lounged on the turnbuckle like it was a hammock. Showing off. Begging to get a boot shoved up her ass.

”Oooooooookay.” Liberty stepped forward with her arms folded over her chest, exchanging glances between Estela and the referee. ”So...are you going to come down and wrestle, or am I just supposed to wait while you strike a pose?”

Estela continued smirking as she laid on the top rope, elbow resting on the top rope as she rested her cheek in the palm of her hand.

"You? Wrestle? Please, you look like you belong a treadmill rather than in a ring with me." Estela arrogantly shouted back, already taking verbal jabs at her opponent. Some people would say that it wasn't a good idea to piss off someone who was physically larger than you, but some people would counter by saying making them mad would make them tire out more easily. Estela did not give a damn about any of that smart talk and was just letting her mouth write out checks as if it was second nature.

Estela shot back as she would throw up her other arm before looking at her wrist condescendingly as if she was looking at a watch. "Hmmmm wonder how long you'll last? Gonna say what? Five minutes?" she let out before kicking her legs up and pushing herself off of the top rope and finally into the ring, officially entering to the match as she started to bounce around, showing off her limberness.

She would need every bit of her limberness if she had any chance of winning, despite her wishful thinking of this being an easy match.

And they were kicking things off with a fat joke. Classy.

Liberty just rolled her eyes at the comment - cliche, but reflexive. It wasn’t even close to the first time someone had given her a crack about her weight, and she stopped caring about that sort of thing a decade ago. She wasn’t even really fat by any real definition of the word - just when you compared her to skinny runway models. The sort of women she easily thrashed in the ring.

”Yeah, silly me, right? Wrestling.” She snorted and cracked her knuckles. ”It’s like I think having muscles and being heavy gives me an advantage in a wrestling match or something crazy like that.”

With that lovely little exchange over, Liberty started to circle around the ring after the bell, lowering into a grappling stance as she neared Estela. She brought her hands up as she closed in, offering up the test of strength to kick things off - not her usual tactic, but standard matches weren’t her usual thing, either.

Although Liberty had a good point that was backed by actual fact, Estela didn't take it as much value. Muscle and striking power didn't matter if it didn't hit. And she'd hope to god those would never hit. "Yeah I know right? Silly you for thinking that." Estela snapped back as she saw Liberty getting closer to the center, lifting up her arms to offer a test of strength.

Estela knew for a fact that she wasn't going to win it, but decided to humor Liberty as she lifted her hands, looking as if she was ready to lock up.

Taking a step forward, she would attempt to duck underneath Liberty's arms and slip past her. If she was successful, she would immediately go for a low kick, aiming for Liberty's thigh before backing up, starting to taunt yet again as she bounced up and down on her feet, bringing up her hands to gesture Liberty to come at her. "I can go allllll night if I have to. Wonder if you can do the same?"

Estela had already earned the special treatment, and now Liberty was just trying to decide how much of it she’d dole out. Also, she was trying to figure how exactly she’d get the little nymph in position for it, because she could already tell what sort of strategy her opponent would be going for.

Estela was an annoying woman, so it only figured that she’d fight in an annoying way. Before they could lock up, a flashing kick hit Liberty in the thigh, striking right on the muscle and sending a sharp pain up and down her leg. She swung a fist out in retaliation, but Estela was already dodging before it even launched, and the air took the punishment instead.

”That what you tell your customers?” Liberty sneered and charged forward with her arm extended, trying to rush Estela and catch her with a clothesline to the chest.

Estela's kick smacked off of Liberty's leg but to no one's surprise Liberty quickly counter attacked after eating the quick kick to the leg. Had Estela not been planning to dodge immediately, things might have gone differently as the arm swung over head. Continuing to bounce on her feet, shifting from left to right to appear like she was about to juke at any point to keep Liberty on guard.

"Ha! I bet you know all about that wouldn't you? Doesn't look like you get much to begin with!" she sneered back, continuing with her verbal barbs to keep Liberty angry and off balance. She kept pushing the threat into the back of her head, telling her that the second Liberty was going to lay her hands, or even just a hand on her, things were going to go very south for her.

Estela's eyes slightly widened when Liberty came a swinging, surprised at the blow as she brought her arms up to block the hit. If she was successful in blocking, even if she managed to prevent from getting blasted off of her feet, her arms would be stinging in pain as she backed up into a corner. Her eyes winching at how hard Liberty struck and backed in a corner she was not in a great position, trying to place her upper half through the ropes to try and force a rope break to try and get the ref to keep Liberty off of her!

Yeah, this dodging shit was going to get real old, real quick, Liberty was sure of that much, especially with all the taunting coming for Estela’s garbage can of a mouth. It wasn’t that the bitch was getting under her skin so much as she was annoying the crap out of her. She’d fought mouthy women before, sure, but this one was just non-stop. It made Liberty wish this was a hardcore match even more, so she could give her a well-deserved chair shot to the face. She was half-tempted to do it, anyway, rules be fucked.

She was relieved - so very relieved - when her clothesline connected. Granted, it was blocked, so it didn’t floor Estela like she was hoping, but some effect was better than no effect at all. She was knocked back into the corner, a place where she couldn’t run and hide from the wrath that was coming down on her. Or so Liberty thought.

She learned just how wrong she was when she charged in, looking to splash Estela in the corner. The green witch ducked between the ropes before she could make contact, and sure enough, the referee came in to save her, pushing Liberty back and giving her opponent the space she was clearly craving.

”You fucking kidding me?” LIberty huffed and back off to the center, flipping Estela off with both hands as she went. ”You talk all that shit, then you take the bitch’s way out? Seriously?”

Estela shook her arms as she hung out between the ropes, waiting for the ref girl to pull back Liberty who graciously gave her the double bird salute as she was being pushed back by the ref. The smirk that was on Estela's lips quickly disappeared and a scowl on her face appeared on her lips as she looked down at her arms, shaking from the hit as she slowly pulled herself back into the ring. That hit was a reminder that she couldn't let Liberty touch her, she was going to make her pay in the worse way possible.

Maybe this was the point she had to learn to keep her mouth shut. Maybe an apology, as late as it was would spare her a beating of a life time. Maybe. Just maybe.

Instead, she decided to take a step forward, gathering her saliva in her mouth and spat it out to shoot it right into Liberty. Her main objective was to try and fire it right into Liberty's face but she didn't have much preference where as long as it hit. The out right defiance and suicidal bravado earned some gasps from the fans, with how Estela seemed to have no fear pissing off Liberty after that brutal hit.

She seemed to know how much shit she was in as she immediately dropped to the mat and rolled out of the ring to escape the fury of Liberty, ready to run around the ring if she had to.
