[ONE] Round One Match: Paige Knight vs Tara Kwan

Tara's rebounding manoeuvre did the job, no matter how ungraceful. She felt a little bad that she had repeatedly, this time inadvertently, struck upon her foes sizeable assets, but soon simply figured that any old target would do.

Now with Paige slumped against the barricade and the Korean beauty standing before her, Tara would aim to keep her down. Rather simply, in fact.

By running straight into the girl, knee extended, aiming to drive even more breath out of her lungs with a torso shot.

The ring out count would reset and Tara was on the hunt. With Paige slumped in a seated position on the barricade, as Tara went for her next move. "ARGH!!!!" Paige grunted as she was nailed with a knee in the torso. Paige would end up face down on the floor on the outside the ring. The referee would continue to count out both women getting up to the count of 3. Paige would lay on the floor trying to catch her breathe to recover from her opponent's offense.

Tara was keeping things in her control, but only barely. She knew how things tended to go in matches such as this; one proclaiming the early advantage would often find themselves victim to a painful switch around, one often motivated further by the simple desire to deliver payback.

The Korean wanted to believe she herself wouldn't be victim to such a turn. But then again, every wrestler in the world probably expects the match to be 100% them.

With her foe face down, Tara would opt for a somewhat sly assault over a more effective one. Sure, she would of liked to have hoisted Paige back to her feet, but such would of course involve a grapple. One her stronger foe could easily turn against her, and again, thrust her desire for revenge upon the pinkette.

Instead, the girl would simply back away, slowly doing so as if she was puckering up for the final kick of the Superbowl. What she was attempting was not far off; as the moment Paige began to even muster, let alone rise, the Korean would burst forward with both power and momentum, looking for a soccer style kick straight to her foes side!

Thus far, Paige has been at the mercy of Tara. Paige's body seems to be the target of Tara's assault as the match got in the groove. Paige was down trying to regain her breathe, and she'd take a hard kick to her side flipping her onto her back. Paige would hold her stomach and would begin coughing from the impact of the kick. The ring out count went up to a 5 count and Paige still needed to recover if she wanted to stay in this match.

Tara knew that the best course of action for a tournament such as this was progressing with a count-out victory. It was obvious as to why; less punishment on her end, and less stamina wasted delivering moves high impact enough to either force a submission or pinfall. It was a cheap win, but a win nonetheless. Even with her leg pinging off the solid side of her foe, Tara contemplated that such was one less kick she could deliver to her foe after this if she proceeded on.

She simply had to play it smarter.

Bending down, she'd roll Paige onto her front as the referee called for five, so that her foe was faced down. Grabbing her hair, she'd try to fiercely grind the woman's face against the canvas, putting her weight into it as she tried to keep the woman still. The move likely didn't hurt in the slightest, given she was pressing Paige against padding, but such was obviously not her intention.

It was clear as day to anyone watching, even more so given Tara kept looking back and forth between herself and the ring, that the moment the count was on its last legs, she'd make her way back into the ring at the last possible moment. Leaving Paige to be counted out.

"Sorry...cutie...your staying...put!"

The referee would continue to get closer to the count of ten and Paige would feel angered as her face was literally mopping the outside floor. Paige's anger would propel her to use her strength to get back to her feet and hoist Tara up into the air before attempting to Alabama Slam Tara on the ring apron for maximum damage and to pay the Korean woman for all the breast shots in this match. If that worked Paige would roll Tara back into the ring and would follow her back into the ring to cover Tara after such a devastating move.

Pressing down upon her foe, Tara felt confident that the position she had upon the beauty was enough to keep her down, atleast to make her heart race over the count coming closer and closer. Turning her head a moment to the watching referee, Tara would instead find herself falling a moment as her opponent rose, before hoisting her up!

Yelping all the while, the Korean beauty could but scream as she was swung, before turning silent once struck upon the apron. The level of pain was agony; something reflected fully as the girl went completely numb. Had Paige not thrown her into the ring immediately, she suspected she would of likely have been the one defeated via count out.

Once in the ring, she'd continue to writhe in pain. Crawling, she'd seemingly look for safety on the other side of the ring. Not that she was moving with any speed whatsoever.

This tournament was about laying everything on the line for the AFW crowd's enjoyment, and a count out ending would be anti-climactic in the opening rounds of this tournament. Paige would roll Tara back into the ring and would follow her back into the ring. Tara would begin to writhe on the mat away from Paige. Paige would follow Tara and would lay on top of Tara for a pin as she hooked a leg for some leverage. Paige was sure that the match wasn't over yet, but she wanted to gauge her opponent's endurance thus far. The referee would then get into the position to count Tara's shoulders to the mat. "1!!..."

Tara was held down easily. Of course she was, her spine had just taken a shot she'd never want to repeat in her life. Wincing, near filling the arena with soft moans at what felt to be the nearest thing to a broken back, the Korean soon found her leg hooked with the greatest of ease. One was called by the official quick enough, already taking place besides the two of them seemingly knowing Paige would attempt a cover after such a vicious move.

"TWO!"

"TH-"

Forcing her shoulder up at the last possible second, Tara would interrupt the referees count as she continued to writhe. She was still in this. Barely.

Paige had effectively turned the match around in her favor, now she had to keep the pressure on Tara. "You're not done yet, that good. Let's keep this match going." Paige said as she would grab Tara by her pink hair to hoist her up to her feet. Then Paige would lift Tara up and attempt to drop Tara's spine onto her knee for a Single Knee Backbreaker. If that worked Paige would press one of her hands down on Tara's neck to apply pressure on Tara's back by seemingly wrapping it around Paige's knee.
