Alicia Wells vs. "Amazon" Alaina Sanders

Alaina moved in and hit... but she never got through to her intended target. As her leg was grabbed she tried to reach down and pry herself free but that also never happened.

Alaina was thrown to the mat landing with a resounding thud, laying on her back! This was the last place she wanted to be. The amazon tried to get up and back to her feet knowing that nothing good came being on the mat on the defensive.

While her forearms were feeling the hit, Alicia felt the noise Alaina made when she hit the mat – that resounding bang – was well worth the pain.

Not that she had anything against Alaina, particularly not now that this match was getting good, but that just meant Alicia had to keep her side of the bargain. That meant, now she had a chance to get back into the match, that she had to get back into the match.

Knowing that Alaina wouldn’t want to stay down any more than Alicia herself, seeing the brunette already trying to make her way back up, the redhead didn’t waste time thinking. She wanted to keep Alaina down here, where Alicia could bring her submission game to bear. True, she thought it’d be just as much fun with them both on their feet but the redhead did some of her best work on the mats and she refused to tie her hands.

Alicia had kept her hands tight on Alaina’s leg, intending all along to try something like this. Pulling it out taut, the kickboxer went to scissor the limb with her own, doing her best to hyperextend the knee joint as she went to tuck the heel under her arm.

Alaina grit her teeth and groaned as her leg now felt pain shooting throughout! Alaina knew this wasn't going to be any good for her or her leg so she had to get out and fast. The amazon tried to worm her way over slightly, knowing that her stuck leg severely limited what she could do. However, she still had a free leg, the more swinging room she could get with that the better.

Alaina cried out trying to kick at Alicia any way she could in order to get her to loosen the grip she had on Alaina's limb. It looked desperate, and in a lot of ways it was. However, Alaina was just doing everything she could to escape and keep on trying to fight her way.

Alicia’s grin widened as not only was she able to keep Alaina down but she was able to lock in that kneebar and start putting some hurt on the trapped limb. It wasn’t a perfect hold by any means and she was under no illusions that she’d get a quick submission, but it was a good way to keep Alaina down and weaken her in the long term.

It was also seemingly one she could work without immediate counter, the redhead taking the veteran’s movements as being Alaina going for the ropes.

And then Alaina started kicking. Kick after kick after kick, hitting anywhere on Alicia’s body she could reach. It wasn’t much more than annoying at first but one good shot to the head or liver and things could escalate quickly.

Luckily, Alaina seemed to be more interested in desperate flailing at the moment but she could still get lucky.

Grimly ignoring the random hits she was taking, Alicia clamped down harder on the kneebar, wanting to do as much damage to the trapped leg as she could. Admittedly, the kicks Alaina was dealing out did hurt, but the damage was being spread around, the angle was incredibly awkward and Alicia wanted to work this hold for at least a little longer before she broke it. She wanted to take the former champ’s base out or at least wear it down a little and the more harm she could do to that knee, the better from her perspective.

Alaina cried out in pain again as her kicks weren't getting her anywhere. She began instead to drag them to the ropes, unable to think of a better way to counter.

Alaina felt like her leg was being torn apart every second she was in this hold. Again, any momentum she had built up before was long gone. The amazon once more was in the hole trying to dig her way out.

It was going to take a lot of power to drag yourself across the ring by your arms with another wrestler clinging to your leg, particularly when that wrestler was as big as Alicia was. Add into that the pain of the kneebar and it was not an easy job for anyone. Alaina, however, probably had that power at her disposal. She was going to reach the ropes, the ref was going to make her break the holds and give the ex-champion a chance to get back to her feet, so they could start from an even footing.

If Alaina reached the ropes, Alicia’s code would let her do no less. Of course, she had no obligation to let Alaina reach the ropes and, if she didn’t, no obligation to let her get up.

The redhead unlocked her hold, scrambled to her feet and went to pounce on Alaina’s back. With her arms, she’d try to secure the other wrestler’s own arms in a Full Nelson while also trying to roll the brunette over so that she could lock her in a body triangle.

If Alicia could lock in both elements, she’d have Alaina trapped in one of her submission finishers – the one that the fans were calling the ‘End of All Hope’.

Alaina felt a short wave of relief wash over as the hold was released early, but Alicia was quick to pounce and leap on Alaina! Her arms were locked in the full nelson and her ribcage was being crushed by Alicia's legs as Alaina was trapped with nowhere to go! The pain shot through her as she let out an ear splitting scream of agony!

The amazon struggled with all she had in her, but it was to no avail! Right now she was stuck and stuck good! Again as she kept tensing her body and pushing against the full nelson she cried out in pain and strain as she gave it all she had to break free even if as far as the crowd could see it looked impossible!

Struggling was all well and good but Alicia knew this hold inside and out. As soon as she’d been able to lock it on, there were very few options for even someone like Alaina.

With her arms trapped in the Full Nelson and Alicia’s legs surrounding her, the ex-champion had very few options – very few that didn’t include being stuck in the End of All Hope until either she tapped or her ribs started to crack.

Either option was fine with Alicia, but she’d spied a potential problem. In the rolling and tumbling, the two women had come closer to the ropes than she felt entirely comfortable with. While she did have Alaina locked up fairly tight, the other wrestler was probably strong enough to roll them both the short distance needed and all she needed was a foot on those ropes.

She tightened her legs around Alaina’s midriff, wrenched back on the Full Nelson and did her best to either make sure Alaina didn’t notice the ropes or couldn’t take advantage of them.

If she could do that, well, this hold had never failed to get her a quick tap. And she was confident it wouldn’t fail here – as long as she could keep Alaina away from the ropes.

Alaina felt pain surging throughout her body as she again cried out in agony. She was trying again to roll for the ropes, knowing that if she could reach them she would buy herself time to try something. Anything. However, as she was about to roll again she felt it.

Pop. Pop.

Two quick, consecutive popping sounds in her ribcage followed by a surging pain unlike anything she felt before. The scream that escaped the lips of the amazon were unlike anything that she ever shouted before. The crescendo of pain was undeniable. She knew her ribs were cracked or broken, she could feel it above the surging agony.

In a moment of anger, humility, embarrassment and shame Alaina began shaking her head and trying to tap her hands, although they couldn't hit anything. She had to do the unthinkable. Something she never ever wanted to do.

"AHHHHHHHHHH! I-I submit!" Alaina shouted in between screams of torment. She had to verbally submit. A first for her. A new low for her. Alaina went from riding high a couple months ago to this. She was taken back to her humbling, embarrassing career start... a big, glorified jobber.

The amazon after riding high hit a new career low as she was thrown to the floor, her chest heaving in labored breaths as she laid there face down unmoving, and unable to face anyone.

Pop. Pop. Even if it hadn’t been followed instantly by a bloodcurdling shriek from the trapped Alaina, the redhead instantly knew what had happened.

It’d been a while since Alicia had heard, had felt that particular sensation but she’d in no way forgotten it. It took her way, way back to the days when she’d been learning the hold, back when she hadn’t learnt her own strength.

The former champ’s torso slackened in a way she couldn’t quite describe, the damage to the ribs something she could almost feel. It was followed by Alaina sparking back to life, thrashing around desperately in Alicia’s grip as she continued to scream. It wasn’t exactly clear what she was trying, not to the big Brit at least, until her opponent managed to rasp out her submission between screaming.

With that, Alicia immediately released her hold and casually shoved Alaina free, that lethal smirk still in place. There was a degree of contempt there, the redhead having no patience for a woman who’d rather be injured than just tap out. Her dark eyes bored into Alaina’s back for a moment as the former champion lay motionless on the canvas, before flicking up and playing over the silent crowd.

The fans didn’t seem to know what to make of it and the British amazon didn’t give them much of a chance to react. She waited for the bell to ring and for the referee to gingerly raise her hand.

And that was it. With that, Alicia slipped between the ropes and hopped down to the ramp, marching back up it without missing a beat. Any interest she’d had in Alaina was now gone, her focus now purely on her next match.
