Mako Adachi VS Suzumi Ishikawa: We're Gonna Need a Bigger Cage
Match Type: Steel Cage Match
Win Conditions: Climb Out and ESCAPE into the water surrounding the cage
*NO PINFALL, SUBMISSION, OR KO*
Mako had been excited for this match for a while. A few weeks back some promoters wanted her in a Shark Cage match, and she politely told them all “FUCK NO!”.
Yes she was called the shark. And yes a shark cage would be cool to use. But they wanted her to fight with another opponent while they were both in it! How was that gonna work? She’d watched one before and it was so lame. The door even opened on its own mid-fight, making it a complete disaster. Well this shark wasn’t going to end up in a train wreck like that. But then the promoters started to beg and it was pretty sad so she said she’d think on it with no intention of calling them back.
But then Mako started thinking later that day and then it hit her. Why not just make it bigger? She’d be up for a steel cage match any day. The promoter’s, though, thought it should have a shark theme, which made things pretty difficult. So after 30 minutes of Mako yelling at them someone made the suggestion that they could have water surrounding a steel cage. That way it’d be like an oversized shark cage. And a few minutes later everyone was in agreement.
Now here she was at ready to have one hell of a match against whoever those promoters set her up with. The ring was outside with two large seating areas on each side. Wow the match didn’t even start yet and Mako already felt like she was the whale at Seaworld. The shark was still excited, though. She’d never been in a fight remotely as interesting as this one.
So with the ring being surrounded by water Mako had to be driven by a motorboat to get into it. Her music came on as she was driven and the shark would put her fist up as the crowds cheered, making her feel even more like Shamu than ever. The boat came to a stop a foot away and the driver helped the shark get up and through the door before motoring away as her music faded.
There wasn’t a fear in her mind at this point as she looked around the cage…well maybe one. There was a loud mouthed promoter that had mentioned a surprise to Mako before she had gotten in the boat, but he never said just what that surprise was. God damn it now she’d be worrying about that during the match. But Mako was confident that she would be able to come out on top, so she'd bounce on her feet as she waited for her opponent to show herself.

Re: Mako Adachi VS Suzumi Ishikawa: We're Gonna Need a Bigger Cage
This was different. No. That was an understatement. This was unlike anything Suzumi had ever seen. She still had to jumpstart herself after her recent stretch. She hoped that this was the turnaround she needed.
She knew her foe was a talented, hard hitting young woman whom was quickly making a name for herself. Suzumi was going to show Mako that the former Wrestle Angel could still hang with the best of them in a ring.. even if it was a cage surrounded by water that would fiill up a small amount!
Suzumi made her unorthodox entrance, waving to the crowd as she was brought over the the cage. The Tsunami made her way in and despite her nickname she was not a big fan of the water. This was going to be a strange match. As Suzumi walked to the center of the ring she stood smiling, waiting for Mako. "Ya call yourself Mako like a shark and fight in a water filled cage? Best of luck to ya, don't think you are gonna have it easy just because of some sort of home field advantage." Suzumi said as she extended her hand.

Re: Mako Adachi VS Suzumi Ishikawa: We're Gonna Need a Bigger Cage
Mako watched as her opponent was brought over by boat, and soon recognized her as the Tsunami, a former wrestle angel. Now this was really getting her excited, first a cage, then the water, and now a former angel? It couldn't get any better for the shark as her opponent entered the cage before the boat driver locked it soon after. "No turning back now" she thought as Suzumi walked over to her and talked about her name and a "home field advantage".
"Haha well I call myself the shark, but my name really is Mako. You know, like how you're called the Tsunami...cool name by the way...but your real name's Suzumi...Haha sorry probably don't need to explain it this much." she would laugh while taking Suzumi's hand for a friendly shake.
"But don't worry, I'm good enough that I don't need a home field advantage. So you better bring your 'A' game tonight!" the young woman would say confidently before letting go of Suzumi's hand and backing away. As soon as the bell rang Mako was going to send quick side kick to her opponent's side before backing away again. This would help the shark test Suzumi's reflexes, toughness, and technique a bit, as well as give her an idea of how to fight against the Tsunami for the rest of this matchup.

"Like, I bring my A-game every night. If ya didn't know that you are totally gonna be in for a long match." Suzumi said as the bell rang. She was about to move in when Mako sent a fast kick her way!
Suzumi winced as the kick connected, but she quickly used her arm to trap Mako's leg. Suzumi grabbed the leg and twist herself over in an attempt to send Mako to the mat with a drqgon screw!

Re: Mako Adachi VS Suzumi Ishikawa: We're Gonna Need a Bigger Cage
Mako’s plan to test the Tsunami’s reflexes backfired quite a bit as her leg was caught. And even though Suzumi winced from the strike, she was still able to twist her body as she preformed a dragon screw on the shark. Mako would find herself spinning around before grunting as she hit the ground.
Mako wasn’t going to be stunned by a little spinning so early in the match, though. So seconds after hitting the ring, the shark would quickly scramble back her feet while getting a little space between herself and the Tsunami. As for her first impression of Suzuki’s skills, they checked out. But this hardly discouraged Mako. If anything she was a bit excited to see what else her opponent could throw at her. And with her excitement growing, her eagerness got the best of her as she went right back at Suzumi for a lock up.

Suzumi saw Mako get up quickly and move back in. Suzumi set her feet and locked up with Mako. She wasn't about to let herself be stationary or try any strength vs. strength grapples in this match. Suzumi could tell from Mako's movements that she was fast and agile. Suzumi had to be smart.
She tried to suddenly bend low and drive her shoulder up into Mako's abdomen and rise up slightly. If she could get Mako onto her shoulders Suzumi would try to do a fireman carry toss to Mako, sending her back down to the mat.

Re: Mako Adachi VS Suzumi Ishikawa: We're Gonna Need a Bigger Cage
After Mako locked up with the tsunami she found they were basically on even ground strength wise. But soon Suzumi would begin bending down without warning before driving her shoulder up and rising slightly. "Oh shit" Mako cursed as she suddenly realized what her opponent was up to. Suzumi seemed to be planning a fireman carry toss as she was stuck on her shoulders.
But the shark wasn’t about to let that happen so easily, so moments after being lifted onto the tsunami’s shoulders, Mako would try squirming her way out her opponent’s grip. Even adding a quick elbow to Suzumi’s head to stun her. That way Mako could land on her feet behind the tsunami, and quickly use her leg to push off on the woman’s back from behind. Effectively shoving Suzumi away for some time to think of a better attack.

Re: Mako Adachi VS Suzumi Ishikawa: We're Gonna Need a Bigger Cage
"Wha- omph!" Suzumi grunted as she was kicked in the back, stumbling away and grabbing at the point of impact as it was wracked with a shooting pain. So much for that plan.
Suzumi turned and was facing Mako once more. Again she moved up and instead of a grapple shot a straight toe-kick to the abdomen of Mako to try to double her over! It wasn't devastating or overly painful by any stretch but if it could stun Mako that opened the door for Suzumi. If not, then Mako was in the fortunate position of a vulnerable foe right in front of her!

Re: Mako Adachi VS Suzumi Ishikawa: We're Gonna Need a Bigger Cage
As soon as Suzumi came back at her, Mako would do the same, heading right at her opponent expecting a grapple or hold. What the shark received was a kick to her abdomen, instead. "Gahh!" Mako would grunt as she was struck falling on one knee briefly as she held her gut.
The shark wasn't about to just stay there, though. Instead she would suddenly try to wrap her arms around Suzumi's waist, and lift her up so she could drive her into the corner. If she managed that much, Mako would start drilling the tsunami with her shoulder a few times in the stomach. That would give her a decent advantage over Suzumi for sure, the young woman thought.

Re: Mako Adachi VS Suzumi Ishikawa: We're Gonna Need a Bigger Cage
Suzumi was initially confident as her kick connected, but found out all too quickly that Mako had other ideas! Instead of grabbing onto the downed woman, Suzumi was picked up and rammed into the corner! To make matters worse Mako kept driving her shoulder into Suzumi's toros over and over. Suzumi groaned with each impact from her opponents shoulder, slumping down to one knee! She was breathing heavily as her whole torso throbbed.
This was far from an ideal spot for Suzumi, but one that the stunned woman could do little about.
