Suzumi "The Tsunami" Ishikawa vs. Samiya Kusanagi - Page 5 Empty Re: Suzumi "The Tsunami" Ishikawa vs. Samiya Kusanagi

Suzumi had an opening, a chance to really take it to Samiya. It was a chance she would be crazy to pass up. The exhausted Suzumi rose to her feet and ran as quickly as her stumbling would allow towards the nearest corner.

She climbed up, each step taxing her as she reached the top and faced away from the ring, looking at the crowd. "All right Tokyo, time for the Tsunami to sweep her away! Wooooooo!" Suzumi called out as the crowd roared.

After taking a deep breath Suzumi leapt back performing a moonsault from the top rope, hoping to land right on top of Samiya to out her away for good!

It was proving surprisingly hard for Samiya to make it back to her feet. That dropkick had done its job, though the match to date probably hadn’t helped.

Struggling up to one knee, having spent several seconds rolling in pain, Samiya looked up finally just in time to see Suzumi go up high.

Acting as much on instinct as anything, Samiya braced herself and went to try and catch the flying Tsunami.

It was anyone’s guess what might have happened normally. Certainly, the fans had seen Samiya’s surprising power demonstrated before – none of them were willing to say she couldn’t have pulled it off.

But she didn’t. It might have been the knee that Suzumi had just battered – certainly the running dropkick hadn’t done the limb any good whatsoever. It might have been the Dragon Sleeper/Bodyscissors she’d not long escaped. It might have been general exhaustion. Or it might have been a combination of all of the above.

Whatever the reason, Samiya got her arms up only to be bowled over and sent to the mat as Suzumi cannoned into her. The Schoolgirl Assassin was left barely twitching, her arms and legs spread-eagled as she lay under Suzumi’s body.

Open to anything the other wrestler had in mind.

Suzumi felt her attack connect, and with Samiya down in the middle of the ring Suzumi knew what she wanted to do next.

Suzumi sat Samiya up and again wrapped her legs around Samiya's torso and her arms around Samiya's throat from behind to lock in a dragon sleeper! The crowd roared and Suzumi shouted as she tried to wrench down on Samiya once more in an effort to make Samiya tap out or pass out!

Samiya was very much in a weird state here, her mind still feeling as sharp as ever but her body refusing absolutely to respond to its commands. No matter how much she demanded her arms or legs move, they weren’t doing it. Samiya was too experienced to think she’d been paralysed but it was hard not to feel a tiny stab of fear.

After a moment, her hand clenched into a fist and a thrill ran down her spine. Except that was right before she felt Suzumi pull her up into a sitting position. Then the Tsunami sat down behind her and Samiya suddenly had a very good idea where this was going.

Knowing what was coming, however, did her no good whatsoever in stopping it. Thrashing her arms, Samiya did her best to hit Suzumi but her best wasn’t good enough, instead finding Suzumi’s arms wrapping around her throat and bending her over backwards.

If the Dragon Sleeper wasn’t enough, Suzumi added a bodyscissors, her trim legs cutting into Samiya’s waist with ruthless efficiency.

Suddenly, Samiya was in an immensely bad position.

To her credit, she did her best to fight back. Going to dig her elbows into Suzumi’s ribs, her legs kicking and flailing – she had no leverage and, strong as she was, the position she was in left her nowhere to go.

Certainly not in time. Soon enough, her flailing began to slow, her efforts beginning to slow as the choke took effect.

Suzumi felt like a snake constricting the life out of its prey as she kept the hold locked in. Samiya attacked her in the back, and talked a good game about how Suzumi was washed up.

She kept the hold tight, showing Samiya that she wasn't done in the ring by a long shot. Right now Suzumi wanted to show everyone that the powerful, resilient Samiya was the one who was done in the ring tonight.

Samiya's struggling began to slow down, and Suzumi redoubled her efforts. All she needed now was for Samiya to tap out or pass out, and that seemed like just a matter of time at this point....

From her position, Samiya would have had to agree with Suzumi’s assessment of the situation – it did indeed feel like she was trapped in the coils of a giant anaconda or python. The bodyscissors alone, while both painful and debilitating, wouldn’t have put her at risk but the Dragon Sleeper was an extremely potent threat and Suzumi had it cinched in perfectly.

Between that, the aches and pains of the match to date and the immediate aftermath of the moonsault preceded by the dropkick to the knee, Samiya just had nowhere to go and no way out.

Fighting her way out would have been tough at the best of times, but possible. This wasn’t the best of times.

Slowly but surely, Samiya’s limbs began to slacken, her struggles fading in what was the obvious precursor to a knockout. She could feel the darkness pressing in around her, hear her heartbeat pounding loud in her ears as the end neared.

For a moment, she entertained the idea of fighting to the end. Making Suzumi choke her out. But then the panic hit her. The memory of the last time she’d been in this spot and what had happened afterwards.

Samiya’s hand rose. Tugged one last time at Suzumi’s steel-hard forearm. Then she began slapping the mat, in a clear indication that she was tapping out.

Of course, depending on how vindictive Suzumi was feeling, it’d only take a few more seconds before the Schoolgirl Assassin went out regardless.

But she wasn’t thinking about that.

Suzumi heard the tap and as soon as the bell rang she let go, hobbling up and holding her hands high as she was announced as the winner!

Suzumi slumped against the ropes and gasped for breath looking down at Samiya.  Suzumi felt  contempt for the woman who symbolized all her doubt and fear that she should have stayed retired.  Suzumi stood triumphantly over her and posed for the cameras.  "Any other doubters out there want to try their luck huh?"  Suzumi said before looking down at Samiya one last time before exiting the ring.
