Moe Fukuoka vs Zoey Satoshi

Standard Match: Victory to be determined by Pinfall, Submission, KO, Countout, or Disqualification.

Moe was excited to compete tonight. She'd become more and more acclimated with AFW. It was her first wrestling promotion and while she was familiar with the business, this was the first leg of her hopefully long and successful career. She entered the arena as her theme song began to play. Moe would wave to crowd happily with both arms for a moment or two before running towards the ring. The petite wrestler would slide into the ring and stand in the center of it. She'd do some light torso stretches whilst waiting for her music to fade out and for her opponent to arrive.



The audience was receptive enough to her. But they also seemed to be eagerly awaiting the arrival of her opponent. And so was Moe.

"I've already met some pretty interesting characters, here. Can't wait to see who I get paired up against, tonight." She said to herself with a smile whilst looking at the top of the ramp.

Once her opponent's music had died down, Zoey's came blasting over the speakers. It took a moment before the girl appeared, and she bounced her way happily down to ringside with her steps timed to the music. She was fighting solo again and her mother wasnt here, thank god. Her opponent was about Zoey's size too, and was kinda cute to look at.

Zoey vaulted over the ropes in one clean jump, smirking across at her opponent while she moved towards the center of the ring. She wore the same attire as she had in her tag match; knee-high red wrestling boots and white pads, black thigh-high socks, tight-fitting red briefs, and a red bra. Her hair was tied up into a simple ponytail, but Zoey had left her elbow pads behind by mistake, and so wasn't wearing them this match.

She looked the girl over, placing her hands on her own hips and making a circular motion with her hips to stretch her thighs and back. "Bonjour, excited?" she asked gently, a wide smirk on her face. It looked to be a fun match as both girls were the same height, though Moe had the weight advantage, something Zoey was getting used to by this point.

Moe looked on as Zoey appeared and made her entrance. She seemed peppy and personable. She found herself rather comparable to Zoey in more ways than one. After Zoey bounced her way to the ring, she finished up her entrance sequence with a display of athleticism and agility. The red head would leap over the ropes and land in a coordinated fashion before smirking at Moe and addressing her.

"Very! It's good to finally be able to make eye contact with an opponent without having to look up, haha. I'm Moe. What's your name?" Moe tried to get in a little conversation before the bell rang. It would ring soon to start of the match, but Zoey seemed cool and Moe wanted to take the opportunity to at least make her acquaintance.

"I'm Zoey. I'll have you looking up at me soon enough." she teased, stepping back a short distance with a silly smirk on her face just in time for the bell to ring. Her opponent was pretty cute from what she could tell, the pair had a very similar attire style besides the colouring, though the girl in green was missing any pads besides on her elbows. Moe had about 25 lb on Zoey though, which would put the younger girl at a bit of a disadvantage if the two ever locked up.

When the bell rang, Zoey began to circle Moe slowly, keeping her eyes locked with the brunette's and still smirking at her. Unless her opponent tried anything first, Zoey would come in close and attempt a high kick aimed at Moe's head. This was a move she'd been doing a lot lately, and thought she was becoming quite good at it, hopefully attempting it right out of the gate would pay off and daze her opponent for a while.

Moe seemed pretty friendly, quite a change from Zoey's previous opponents. They were both quite new to the roster aswell, with just two matches to each of their names. It looked to Zoey like a much closer matchup than she'd had so far, maybe it'd be great fun.

The green clad wrestler didn't think too much of Zoey's teasing. At least, not yet. But she would feel a way about Zoey's opening move. Strikes were Moe's specialty and she hadn't expected Zoey to come at her with one to start off the match. But Moe was more than capable of defending herself once she saw her foe raise her leg. The moment her opponent locked eyes with her, Moe sensed an attack coming. Miss Fukouka would raise both her arms and use them to block the kick to her face. A more seasoned wrestler might have grabbed Zoey's foot to attempt a counter, but Moe chose not to. The brunette would instead, take that kick as a challenge.

"Trade blows with me?!" She questioned while stepping in towards Zoey. She would attempt a strong right hook to Miss Satoshi's abdomen, aiming to hit move in and her while her opponent was retracting her leg from that kick!

Zoey saw Moe's arms go up to block the blow, but felt her foot thwack against what felt like the girl's skull. She let herself smirk again, thinking she had pulled it off, bringing her foot back down towards the canvas. That was pretty easy, and an early blow to Moe's head should put her off-balance for a little while at least, enough for Zoey to get a few more hits in and-

"Wha-!? BLUEGH"

Before her foot even touched the ground, Moe had stepped into the opening her failed kick had created, and slammed a hand into Zoey's bare stomach. She hadn't had time to prepare, and it felt like someone had just blasted her in the torso with a cannon, sending her staggering backwards towards the corner at her rear, struggling for balance. Her hands quickly went to her stomach and the blow launched a little saliva out of her mouth.

The fact that a punch like that had come from someone as small as Moe was quite a terrifying prospect, since keeping track of her opponent's rather slim arms would be a bit difficult. She'd have to avoid those hands from now on, lest she be pounded into the ground.

As Zoey backed up and recoiled due to the force of her opponent's punch, Moe smiled at her confidently. She knew she had made a statement with that punch to Satoshi's gut. It felt good to Moe to finally be able to put someone else on notice and have them be concerned with her offense early on in the match, rather than the other way around. Still, she knew that she couldn't dismiss Zoey or write her off. She still had no real idea of what the red head could do under the right circumstances.

Moe would put her hands up and try to circle the ring with her opponent in the hopes of getting the chance to get in close to her again and lock up with her.

"Still excited?" Moe said in a slightly mocking tone. She had gotten a slight edge early on. The brunette told herself that all she needed to do was keep this up - to just press her advantage and victory would soon be hers.

Zoey came back forwards a few moments after taking the hit, still looking as if she was in pain. Her small body wasn't used to taking hard strikes like that, at least not yet. She kept her arms close to her chest, ready to block any incoming punches with them if her dodging failed. The hit had put her on edge, clearly.

The two began to circle eachother for a few seconds, until both girls had changed sides. "Nngh- You were just lucky." she replied. Then Moe came forwards to attempt a lockup and Zoey's legs decided they'd rather not try to dodge right now. Her arms made up for it though, and came up just in time to lock hands with her opponent.

Zoey strained her arms and pushed her weight forwards in an attempt to press the heavier girl back and downwards. If she could get her onto her knees, she'd be able to follow up with a knee to the face or some other attack, but that seemed unlikely to come to fruition. She'd let herself slide backwards towards the ropes if Moe began to overpower her, hopefully getting pressed into them before the brunette could exploit the situation.

Moe didn't think her opponent would reciprocate when she tried to lock up with her. She realized that she was heavier than her opponent and likely stronger than her, which is more than she could say about most of the AFW roster. It was rare that she found herself in situations where she could straight up overpower her foes. And even she was surprised when she began to push her opponent back.

"Huh.....still luck?"

She asked as she pushed Zoey towards the ropes. The moment her red headed foe made contact with those ropes, she realized the ref would attempt to break the up. The ref moved in and began to count for Moe to break contact with Zoey or risk disqualification. "Break it up! ONE!! TWO!!!" Moe would release her grip on Zoey and they aim a kick at her opponent's side, hoping to go for her core, again!

Zoey had managed to squirm her way backwards into the ropes under Moe's pushing and struggling. With the girl's weight advantage, as small as it was, it wasn't much of a contest, with Zoey quickly sliding back against the ropes. The referee moved in to break the pair apart and Moe obeyed, Zoey straightening up now that there wasn't anything pushing against her upper body.

"What else would it be?" she responded with a giggle. Zoey felt this would be fun soon enough, all she needed was a little distance from Moe and she'd be able to pull off some more hard-hitting attacks, so long as she could avoid Fukuoka's terrifying punches for the right amount of time. With the two being made to break up, it seemed like a good opportunity.

Moe's foot came up as soon as the referee was out of the way, and slapped hard into Zoey's bare side, just inches away from where she had taken the girl's punch a moment earlier. That didn't feel good, and Zoey winced with pain as she quickly shuffled away from Moe and towards the nearest corner.
