Lucy Grange vs Abigail Snow - Lively vs Silence

Lucy's defence game wasn't the best, hampered with a small height and frame Lucy often went with an offence focused gameplan. If Abigail hadn't swept out the Brit from under her Lucy would probably have overwhelmed her opponent there, in Lucy's mind she believed it to be a lucky shot. Regardless now Ms Grange was going to have to handle whatever sort of move Abigail attempted on her, with the position that Lucy had fallen into Lucy was expecting some kind of intricate submission befitting an alleged strategist such as Abigail.

Instead however Abigail instead chose to prop Lucy above her shoulders, and began talking. While the suddenness was jarring Ms Grange's built in danger sense kicked in, and she'd start delivering some hard shots on Abigail's head. Was Abigail really going to think that Lucy would just let her deliver her James Bond villain monologue without a retort from the Brit? If Abigail had studied Lucy she'd know about her personality.

Still though Abigail promptly went to switch Lucy around for a powerbomb, on reaction Lucy did what she did in this situation. Brace for impact, having a 6 foot tall Brother that favoured power moves had made for a good sparring partner after all. But Abigail stumbled in her delivery, thereby making it more of a stumblebomb than what she would have wanted. Nevertheless the impact left Lucy stunned for the time being, though she tried to at least roll towards the ropes. At this time a stage exit right was looking optimal.....

As Abigail took deep breathes in the middle of the ring, leaning back a little and propping herself with her arms, Abigail let out a huge sigh. She looked up at the ceiling, that fist fight earlier definitely took quite a bit out of her, a strand of hair sticking to her face from the sweat. Abigail's sweat glistened in the light as she moved her hand to brush it off her face. Going for a type of finisher like Erin's was clearly a mistake on her part, scolding herself for not trying to go for a submission-type finisher. But she couldn't dote on this mistake, she was in a middle of a match!

Finally regulating her breathing, Abigail would look to see where the Brit had gone off too only to see that she was trying roll out of the ring! Abigail would furrow her eye brows as she quickly tried to make a grab at Lucy, trying to pull her back. "Where *huff* do you think *huff* you're going?" Abigail asked between deep breathes, "We still *huff* have a match." Abigail was finally starting to get back into it. She was starting to feel an amazing sensation again. Not only was she wrestling a veteran, she was actually enjoying herself!

With a small smile and some sweat rolling down her face, Abigail would attempt to pull Lucy up towards her if she was successful in stopping her opponent. Of course, unlike usual, she hadn't thought up of a plan when she pulled Lucy up close to her and instead would try to pin her. Attempting to force Lucy down and hooking one of her legs up, she glanced at the ref. The ref would raise her arm and slam it down on the canvas. "ONE!" she screamed. It was still quite early into the match, Miss Grange could still have energy to break free, Abigail was in fact sure of it. Miss Grange didn't have a career in AFW for this long for nothing. But that wouldn't stop her from trying!

Lucy in spite of her penchant for all out offence was smart enough to know when to at least attempt to beat a retreat when things got dicey, being the size that she was going at it all the time against an opponent that outweighed and was taller than her only meant a swift defeat.

This was a clear time for when it might be best to pull back and re-engage on better terms, Lucy might have been a offence oriented fighter but she was no fool. Abigail's attacks were simply causing her too much damage to the Brit, while she was no stranger to getting smacked around hard the liberal use of finishers and signature moves from wrestlers that Lucy had never heard of was doing a number on her. Inwardly Ms Grange was regretting her lack of following of Friction instead of Tension.

Abigail caught Lucy's escape attempt though and settled her into a pin attempt, hooking a leg up to help keep the Brit down. Gritting her teeth Lucy would kick out at two, she wasn't done yet! In response to Abigail's earlier words Ms Grange muttered "Oh yeah. Right." as she made to stand up Lucy would promptly potato Abigail over the head to hopefully make her back off. If she didn't Lucy would clonk the strategist over that head of hers again, if Ms Grange couldn't roll out the ring then the best thing to do was to get back to a vertical position.....

As Abigail grabbed onto Ms. Grange's leg and started pulling her back, she would be met with two kicks in an attempt to escape. Abigail flinched but her resolve did not waver as she continued to try and get Ms. Grange closer to her. Just as she got Lucy close and stood them both up, Abigail would be met with a punch to the face and then one to the head. Abigail would let out a yelp of pain as she stumbled back, almost losing her footing as she ended up stumbling back to the ropes and holding on to them. She shook her head and wiped off some sweat from her forehead. As her vision began to focus once again, she glare back at Ms. Grange with a determined look.

Taking in a deep breath, Abigail started to enter in a deep-breathing state to quickly calm herself down and clear her mind. Once she did, Abigail would get back into position and get into a stance that resembled a martial arts stance, and waved Ms. Grange to come and get her with her hand. If Ms. Grange would accept the challenge, Abigail would try to side step the Brit and launch a kick to her back and send her running into the ropes. Hopefully if she kicked hard enough, Ms. Grange would be forced to rebound off the rope and come running back at her.

If all went according to plan, Abigail would start running at the Brit with a clothesline and plan to run her over and send flying to the canvas once more! But something in the back of Abigail's head was nagging at her, as if she forgotten something and her instincts were kicking into. What did she forget!? And why was her instincts telling her something bad was going to happen!?

Lucy knew that if she could do one thing right it was swing her legs and arms at people with intent to hit, her rough upbringing taught her how to do that after all. Abigail was becoming quite familiar with this, Lucy made a mental note to try and switch things up. While Lucy likely had experience in this Abigail had shown she was able to think things through, staying unpredictable was probably going to be Ms Grange's best shot in this match. And the Brit could certainly do that, Abigail took the hint and backed off allowing Lucy a chance to scramble back to her feet. She simply smirked in response to her opponent's expression.

As Lucy got herself ready Abigail was daring the Brit to come on and bring it, well of course Lucy would. She loved being the aggressor in the battle, rushing in blindly though wasn't what Lucy would do. The Brit had her arms out in front, waiting for it as she ran in and.....Yep Abigail made to strike back. Lucy managed to get her arms out and covering her chest just in time, her arms took the brunt of the kick. But the force still made her have to rebound back to where she was.

"Ngh!" Lucy grunted, she was coming back on the ropes. Abigail was already rushing in, Lucy in her usual in the moment sort of mindset had an idea. Take a page out of her opponent's book, bust out another wrestler's move. Ms Grange readied her arms and got in close to Abigail, wrangling her around so that Abigail would be held in a position with her back on the Brit's knee. And then Lucy would try to bust out a swinging reverse STO right on Ms Snow, this was a signature move of the UK Elite's right hand man John Carnaby. Which he referred to as the Coup De Grace!
