Lucy Grange vs Abigail Snow - Lively vs Silence

Lucy was durable, but nowhere near to the extent of her team members. Abigail already landed a really hard pair of hits there, already Ms Grange was at a disadvantage here in this match. But it wasn't impossible, Lucy liked to think she'd battled back from worse things. With this point in the match where it had just begun Lucy could swing it around, besides every second Abigail wasn't attacking meant Lucy could catch her breath. Wouldn't be long though, her opponent would be a fool if she didn't attempt to cause more damage when it presented itself.

Sure enough Abigail started to swing out with some kicks, Ms Grange had kept her eyes locked on her opponent. The spinning might be to confuse the Brit before striking after all, but Lucy waited. In spite of her usual habits of keeping active on the offence Lucy could also turn down the volume if need be. The kicks stung, Lucy kept her guard up though. Waiting for a moment to get in and strike back......

The next kick though Lucy would time it right, granted Abigail would get the hit in on the ribs. But through gritted teeth Ms Grange would deliver a hard elbow right to Abigail's kneecap before giving her a clothesline to send her down to the mat, Lucy needed to get into this and taking the pain would be acceptable if it meant the Brit could have some offence in against her opponent.

Kick after kick, Abigail landed with clear precision and power. Abigail thought that she truly had the advantage currently, twirling in the pirouette as the crowd cheered for her! This would once again cause Abigail to blush again but this one moment had been enough for Abigail to make one crucial mistake! Abigail had swung another powerful kick to Miss Grange's side but before she could twirl it away, the Brit girl would hold it in place, tightly.

Abigail's pirouette would be immediately stopped, she would hop on one foot as she the sudden stop left her dizzy. But she couldn't afford to let a little dizziness get to her now! Sadly though, it just didn't work out for her. Once the arena stopped spinning and her eyes focused, her eyes would widen in fear when she saw Lucy raise her elbow high and bring it down, aiming for her kneecap! Time slowed down for Abigail as her face would start to contort to a panic state, not seeing any clear escape for her in time, Abigail grit her teeth and knew she had to bite the bullet as time sped up again.

Abigail would let out a pained scream when Lucy's elbow connected with her kneecap and she would be sent flipping in the air with Lucy's clothesline follow up. Abigail flipped in the air for a second, doing a full flip before slamming onto the canvas, on her back, hard. Abigail groaned in pain as she would try to get back up on her feet but felt a sharp pain in her right leg, the leg Lucy elbowed hard! This was not good.

Lucy preferred to avoid getting hit if at all possible naturally, but sometimes there was just no way around it. Abigail served as an ample reminder of this fact, still just because Ms Grange wasn't a built juggernaut didn't mean she couldn't take a beating. Quite the opposite, Lucy had gotten smacked in the past from girls and guys. But she gave it just as much in her mind! And that double whammy served as ample proof towards her opponent.

The hit to the knee would hopefully serve to whittle down Abigail's ability to stand and move about, then she'd be less likely to bust out those crazy ass things she did earlier. Though Lucy perhaps wondered if she'd overdone that clothesline just a bit with how Abigail went head over arse, then Lucy remembered the hard shot to her ribs earlier and the thought quickly passed.

Now that Ms Grange had a chance to turn the odds in her favour she quickly thought about what to attempt, the Brit would size up Abigail as she attempted to make her way to a vertical position. The girl certainly seemed tough if she was trying to get back up after flipping in the air like that, but Lucy saw it as a chance. With the young woman planning to attempt to cinch Ms Snow into a running bulldog with her lowered height!

As Abigail would wobble around on her pained feet, the arena would be spinning a bit before she would regain focus. Her leg was in quite a bit of pain and considering how Miss Grange was a power-type, Abigail would now have trouble dealing with her powerful attacks without being able to effectively dodge them. Abigail would look up to try and confront Lucy but discovered she wasn't in front of her. Feeling a sudden presence behind her, Abigail would turn around just in time to see Lucy coming at her with running bulldog!

Abigail's eyes widen as she would be hit dead on once again, forcing to fall right back down onto her back in pain. Abigail grit her teeth and flipped to her side, holding her back in pain. Abigail knew she would be a sitting duck if she stayed in the middle of the ring and tried to crawl to the ropes to get back to her feet but she was already completely vulnerable while lying on the canvas.

Lucy had to admit this Abigail chick was someone she certainly hadn't encountered before, which was bad not just because of that fact but also because Abigail had clearly done something akin to homework on the British girl. But Abigail was a complete stranger to Lucy, who also studied up on other wrestlers too it seemed. The optimist in Ms Grange though wasn't deterred, if Abigail thought she knew all of Lucy well the nature of the girl meant that some new things were bound to be in store. If Abigail got taken by surprise then that'd only benefit the Brit even more.

Here though Lucy had done this move since day one of her indies, the movements were practised and honed. Ms Grange's skirt giving a flash of her underwear as she flew into the air taking Abigail with her for the running bulldog, Lucy landed to the mat with a heavy thud. But the Brit knew her opponent would take the impact far worse, sure enough Abigail was looking like she'd just gotten sent for a loop.

Abigail though showed some impressive grit there, rather than simply do the common response of rolling about and groaning the woman was making to get to the ropes for some semblance of safety. Ms Grange gave a small sigh and wiped her forehead before making to stand back up, wincing inwardly at the pain done to her earlier. Deciding to try and go after Abigail Lucy would attempt to deliver a couple of hard stomps on Abigail as she retreated to at least try and get some damage in. And stay on target.

The arena was spinning around Abigail, which was probably a sign that told Abigail she was not okay currently. Which meant she needed to get to the ropes as fast as she could. Luckily for her, Miss Grange didn't do anything worse than following her and stomping on her back. That's not to say the stomps didn't hurt. Each stomp would earn a tightening fist and wincing eyes. But through grit teeth, Abigail powered through and reached the ropes. Quickly climbing to her feet, Abigail held onto the top rope tightly for support as she took deep breathes, regulating her breathing. First things first, relax and calm down but don't drop your guard.

As Abigail took deep breathes, the fans cheered louder and louder, but Abigail only cared about one person so far. She would glance up on the observation deck and spot Manager leaning against the railing with a smile. He noticed and gave her a thumbs up, practically fueling her right back up with determination and energy. Knowing her manager was watching her as always gave her the motivation and will to jump right back in. But seeing how well Miss Grange dealt with her other fighting styles, a change in tactics was in order.

Taking her hands off the rope she would ready herself, hopping up and down, from left and right, transitioning back to her boxing stance. But unlike before, Abigail would dash at Lucy with surprising speed and launching a full frontal assault, hitting Lucy with a barrage of punches and kicks, resembling a form of street fighting!

Lucy as a matter of principle believed that the best defence was an overwhelming offence, Abigail seemingly had this notion also. Given those early good shots she got in on Ms Grange, which still smarted. Fine by Lucy though, Ms Grange was gonna take the fight right to the strategist and show her where books got her. The Brit knew one thing though that Abigail was an opponent that Lucy hadn't ever really encountered, she'd dealt with her aloof foes back in the indies. But Abigail played her cards close to her chest, so it was hard to gage her reactions. No matter, Lucy would just keep on the offence!

Still though it took two to tango, Abigail seemingly got her breath back and rose back up. Lucy got herself ready as she felt the numbness in her body, a reminder of the hurt that Abigail could lay on. But rather than attempt to out move the Brit Abigail decided to take the fight right to Lucy, the close proximity meant Lucy got taken by surprise as the blows came in.

"Oof!" Lucy grunted out, but rather than try and get out of this situation Ms Grange moved in and started swinging out her own punches and kicks. Back in high school Lucy was no stranger to getting into up close fist fights with people that miffed her, Abigail might be taller and weigh more. Though that wouldn't deter the Brit from getting in and swinging her own punches into Abigail's gut, Lucy didn't care about the body difference. Only about getting herself some strikes in!

As expected from a veteran wrestler from AFW, Lucy didn't back down when Abigail went in for her assault. Instead, Abigail was met with Lucy's own retaliation, taking some direct hits from Ms. Grange. Abigail would wince in pain but grit her teeth, she couldn't back down now. In a situation like this, Abigail had to tough it out and hope she could endure Ms. Grange's attacks.

They would both trade blow for blow, punch for punch, kick for kick, but it didn't seem like neither of them would back down. Abigail was panting heavily, adrenaline running through her body to keep her on her feet. As she threw another punch at Lucy's body, Abigail started to think, just what could she do to gain the upper hand. Taking another swift kick to her side, Abigail grunted.

Abigail would enter her Strategist-Mode, time slowing down around her as she tried to rack up some sort of plan. After taking several of the Brit's powerful attacks, Abigail was able to deduce that there was a slim chance that she could keep up with the Brit's blows for long if this kept up. She needed something new to stun Lucy long enough for to knock her down. An idea then popped in her head and she did the calculations and was pleased with the chances. Deciding to go for it, Abigail would slowly slip back to her regular self as time started to speed up again.

Taking another direct punch to the face, Abigail would let out a cry before quickly regaining her focus and fired another punch aimed at Lucy's head. But this was a feint as Abigail would quickly switch to her other hand and launch a chop to Lucy's chest if the feint worked. If it landed and Lucy dazed, Abigail would go for a quick leg sweep to bring Lucy down to the ground!

If Abigail had checked up Lucy's background she might have known about Lucy's willingness to get in close to her opponent and start swinging at them, this stemmed all the way back in high school where she got into fights with guys on the rugby team. Even if they dwarfed her Lucy would still go at them with the fury of a tornado, she might not have had the best finesse when it came to fist fighting. But Lucy had experience in these tooth and nail situations, enough to know how to handle one.

Abigail had the height and weight on her side, but that wouldn't deter the Brit. Not by a long shot, in fact Lucy was comfortable with it. As it turned out Lucy's fire and grit was giving her the advantage, likely because of her having perhaps a slight edge in experience in this sort of straight up fight.

She grunted when the Strategist hit her hard, but Ms Grange was being stubborn and would respond in kind with the hardest swings she could muster. Abigail was looking like she was starting to buckle, which only prompted Lucy to proverbially smell blood with that fierce head shot. She had floored girls Abigail's height in the past with that, but wrestlers tended to be made of tougher stuff.

Though Lucy however didn't focus on fighting optimally in this situation, which was looking to be how Abigail was going for. Abigail swung and Lucy made to tense up for it, but it wasn't thrown out. Instead Lucy got a fierce slap to her chest which made Ms Grange grunt out and reflexively cover her chest area which then left her open to getting her legs swept out from under her.

"D-Damn!" Lucy shouted as she fell, after hitting the ground Lucy felt those hard shots she'd taken from the slugfest aching her body. With that sudden attack the Brit knew she was at a disadvantage, in an effort to at least mitigate the situation Lucy attempted to roll away from her opponent. Though Lucy strongly reckoned that Abigail was going to attempt something after this, it was an easy pickings situation after all.....

Blow for blow, punch for punch, Abigail met Lucy with the same amount of ferocity and force during their brawl out. Abigail could feel the heat and tension forming between the two, beads of sweat rolling down her forehead, her eyes solely focused on Lucy's movement. Finally after her feint worked and she was able to perform her leg sweep and knock Ms. Grange to the ground, Abigail would wobble a little before regaining her posture. She was never much of a brawler anyway so it made sense that her little fisticuffs with the Brit girl would tire herself faster than normal. The arena was spinning slightly but she quickly shook her head to get rid of the dizziness she was feeling. If she dawdled too long, her opponent can take the time to recover!

"That was not a good plan on my part," Abigail muttered to herself as she held her head but quickly looked down at Lucy. Hopefully if the Brit was still on the ground, Abigail can set up something she had in her mind. Taking in deep breathes, Abigail bent down to try and grab Lucy's legs and drag her towards her before flinging the blonde Brit up and onto her shoulders. Carrying her opponent on her shoulders like a little child at the fairs Abigail sighed.

"There's a wrestler who joined around the same time as I did. An Irish girl named Erin Quinn. A powerhouse type, she has quite a hard hitting finisher; St. Patrick's Day Parade!" Abigail muttered to Lucy as she suddenly paraded the girl around the ring before suddenly flinging Lucy forward to the canvas with a powerbomb. But given Abigail had just enter a fist fight with the girl not too long ago and now going for a power move, Abigail blundered a little and stumbled onto her knees, causing her to drop Lucy at the incorrect time and making the powerbomb not as efficient or powerful. None the less, it should still be good enough to stun the Brit at the very least.

After dropping Lucy, Abigail would fall on to her butt and take deep breathes, her face slightly flushed and sweaty as she quickly tried to regain her lost stamina and energy.
