AV 16 Tag Title: The Black Feathers Gang (c) vs. Akiha and Gwendolyn

Gwen retreated back to her corner with the smug satisfaction of watching her blatant distraction pay off spectacularly. Akiha unleashing a torrent of illegal maneuvers in the span of mere seconds that left Yukiko's face caked in red filth with yet another punt to her crotch to punctuate her misery. Gwendolyn knew full well how horribly debilitating that red mist could be after having been the unfortunate recipient of it herself once upon a time. But that first hand experience only helped to cement the notion that this match was theirs...

"...*giggle*...As if we know of any other way~..." Gwen elegantly retorted before slapping Akiha's shoulder to make her the legal lady, than taking the time to climb to the top turnbuckle from behind. The heiress balancing herself perfectly in a crouching position atop her perch with one hand on the top rope beside her. Seconds passing by with flickering camera flashes immortalizing what appeared to be the match's grand finale. The implications of a victory now making Gwendolyn practically giddy at the thought. An elated and devious smirk on her visage before she catapulted up into the air with her legs tucked in, firmly clenching Yukiko's ankles in mid air and collapsing to the canvas alongside Akiha to strengthen the impact of their Prestige Plunder finisher~

Gwen landed on her knees and maintained her grip to further bunch Yukiko over herself in the double teaming pin attempt. The referee sliding into position and beginning the three count.

Being reacquainted with Championship Gold. Gwen could feel it at her fingertips.

"ONE!"

Dangling upside down the whole way, Yukiko grunted in frustration as Akiha's knee's whacked against her face, trying to block them with her hands and keeping her pretty preoccupied. All the blood rushing to her head was making it all pretty disorienting, and it was getting harder and harder for her to concentrate on thinking of a way to escape.

Overhearing her two foes plan for a team attack filled the blue-haired girl with urgency and desperation. Though she had no idea what they were about to do, she knew for sure it was going to be bad. Alas, she couldn't stop either of them from as they simultaneously drove her skull right down into the canvas, made only worse by Gwen's momentum. Impacting with a loud thud, Yukiko felt an extreme pain shoot down her neck and spine, causing her entire body to convulse. Already woozy from having been hanging upside so long, the jarring landing nearly knocked the blue-haired girl unconscious outright, leaving her totally helpless as her opponent's pressed down upon her with a pin.

"TWO!"

A massive smile could be seen on Akiha face as she saw Gwendolyn tag herself in and climb the turnbuckle. She could still feel Yukiko dangling, attempting to escape but the crimson hair wrestler had mastered the move and would not allow her opponent any chance of escape. The two Aristocrats jumped in the air at the same and both brought their weight on down on Yukiko, performing their tag team finisher Prestige Plunder.

The crowd would gasp at the sight of what had just happened and what soon might happen as well. The crimson hair wrestler would not let go of her opponents legs, performing a pin. Gwendolyn also seemed to join in, holding Yukiko leg as well in order to perform a double team pin. The crimson hair wrestler watched as the referee slide into position and started the count. At this point time seemed to have slowed down, she was so close to winning the tag team title belt she could almost feel it. Hearing the one and two count, Akiha would watch as the referee raised her hand for the third time and started to bring it down.

“THREE!”

With that the crowd would erupt, not in joy but in anger, giving all sorts of boos. Akiha would get up, as the referee raised her hand and Gwendolyn's hand. She couldn't believe it, she had won the tag team title belt and put herself in AFW history. “BY THE RESULT OF PINFALL, HERE IS YOUR NEW AFW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, IMPERIAL ORDER!” stated the announcer as the crowd continued to boo. Despite the crowd, Akiha paid no attention, she was too happy and simply ignored them, focusing her attention to Gwendolyn. “WE DID IT! WE WON!... I mean, of course, we won. It was only natural that we would,” said Akiha in an excited voice before calming herself down.

Only relinquishing her grip on Yukiko's ankles when the clanging ring bell officially signaled the mach's conclusion, Gwendolyn repelled back to her feet with her arms extended broadly to her sides. The haughty aristocrat basking in both the Imperial Theme and thunderous booing being muddled together. The booming combination that shook the stadium to it's very core was the all too familiar chorus by which Gwendolyn reveled in all of her glorious victories...

...this one being no exception. A solid year since being unjustly deprived of her Entropy title belt, the shimmering beacon of dignified sophistication herself was once again draped in championship gold. The very notion of being a decorated champion...once again achieving that same level of greatness by outright dominating the former champions...Gwendolyn simply could not stop smiling, her head tilted back with the beaming roof-lights bathing her in their heavenly glow. The heiress only being jolted from her euphoric stupor by the referee taking her wrist and guiding both aristocrats center stage to raise their arms skyward.

"And with that, Madam Kosha, allow me to graciously welcome you into the upper echelons of the AFW elite~..." Gwendolyn proclaimed as she glanced in Akiha's direction with their hands still raised, referencing the heiress' earlier pep talk before the match started.

After lowering their hands back down the referee would retreat to the edge of the ring to delicately handle the tag team belts before turning back towards the haughty highborns. Though the ref would hardly take one step forward before Gwen would abruptly snatch up both belts and hug them ever so tightly to her bosom. The heiress nuzzling their plated surface before widening her eyes from remembering that one of them belonged to Akiha. Gwendolyn than turning in place with a deceptively wholesome smile and one belt being offered towards her partner.

"Ah, I simply wanted the honor of presenting this to you myself. From one champion to another~..."  

This day could not get any better, she had just won the tag team title belt, in what could be considered a one-sided fight.  Her hand was raised into the air and with that, she was congratulated by Gwendolyn.  This was probably a first, sure Gwendolyn had congratulated people but never in this kind of genuine matter.  “Thank you, your far to kind Madam Gwendolyn or would you prefer it if I called you Champion Gwendolyn?” stated Akiha referring to the fact that she once again champion.

Once their hands were lowered, the referee would grab the tag team title belts but before the referee could give the belts, they would both be taken by Gwendolyn who then appeared to hug them both.  This would cause a bit of confusion among Akiha, wondering what her tag partner was doing.  She decided that perhaps it was best to give it a second or two.  After waiting a moment, the crimson hair wrestler would be presented with her tag team title belt as Gwendolyn simply stated she wanted the honor of presenting the title to Akiha herself.  “Ah, what better way to be presented a title belt then by a fellow champion.” stated Akiha as she then gently took the belt from Gwendolyn arm that had been presented to her.

The crimson hair wrestler would stare at her title belt for a few moments, gazing at all its glory.  She would then raise it into the air to show it off, proud of her accomplishment.  “Come on Gwendolyn, let us leave this place and go somewhere else, where we will be appreciated.” stated Akiha as she placed the would then exit the ring and make her way out of the stadium.

Luckily for her, Gwendolyn's overeager faux pas would go unchallenged by her fellow aristocrat. Having a partner as trusting as Akiha meant that she could be forgiven for letting her emotions get the best of her. And one couldn't very well blame the heiress for acting rather spirited after having regained her status amongst the vaunted champions of the league. Gwen now joining the ranks of the exceedingly few competitors in the league to have held two separate title belts throughout their career.

And Gwendolyn felt like she was only just getting started. Torrents of red and gold confetti now wafting in the breeze, a celebratory atmosphere for an audience that wanted to do nothing of the sort.  

"...*giggle*...Agreed, Madam Kosha. Extravagant galas and dignified soirees await us as the first step on a long and illustrious title reign~..." Gwendolyn elegantly enunciated with a smirk while draping her precious title belt over her shoulder. After the dainty aristocrats would simultaneously hop down off of the apron, a stream of employees and trainers from both heiress' companies would swamp and shield them from nearby paparazzi. All eager reporters blindly asking questions for a statement from the high class tag-team champions striding synchronously up the ramp.

"Oh, let's not stand on ceremony with frivolous titles like Champion Gwendolyn. Lady Bettencourt will suffice...or Madame Bettencourt...or Her Grand Exalted Eminence Betten..."

Yukiko ended up needing to be helped off of the ring by the officials during the crowning ceremony, as she was completely exhausted and her head was still spinning after that final move. With her arm slung over the shoulder of one of the medical crew for support, she glanced back at the ring, scowling at how pleased Akiha and Gwen looked with their new belts. Title or not, she sorely wanted another shot at them someday, though she knew she had to get a lot stronger before then.

Akiko and Maddie had already been helped backstage, and while her hatred towards the new tag-team champions began to stew, the blue-haired girl was much more worried about the condition of her teammates, particularly Akiko, who couldn't have been able to endure much punishment in the state she was in.

Eventually, all three of them made it back to their locker room, though between their badly battered state and overwhelming sense of defeat, the atmosphere was heavy. Even if they had both been at 100%, Akiko and Yukiko felt as though they would have lost to those two anyway, which was incredibly frustrating. How both of them were now filled with the desire to improve as fighters, and really show Akiha and Gwen the next time they met.

Though they were already aware of their inexperience and shortcomings, both of them knew it was their teamwork more than anything that had gotten them as far as they did. Going into the match without that crucial advantage is what really made things turn into the stomp that it was. So the first thing they would have to deal with was the cause of that disadvantage: Alicia. As upset as they still were at Akiha and Gwen, much of that anger began to be channeled towards their bitter nemesis instead. Already looking ahead, the three of them decided they were going to start their comeback by first getting in a little revenge.
