Breaking Point: Mako Adachi vs Dave Blake

Mako succeeded in freeing herself from the lock up by punching Dave in the gut a few times. And once she was free, the shark sent a kick right into the young man’s chest as he was against the table, knocking the air out of him. She would have kept on going but it seemed Dave was smart enough to retreat, rolling under the table to escape and recover his breath. It was a good strategy, using the table between them to regroup. Of course it was also a very short term solution when fighting someone like Mako.

She was wasn’t just going to let Dave have a break this early though, the fight was just beginning after all. So dashing forward, the shark would jump up onto the left side of the table, before hopping again with a shout as she attempted to land a shinning wizard right on Dave’s head while he was catching his breath.

Dave expected Mako to take a moment and evaluate the situation. Well that certainly came back to bite him in the ass. Leaping clear of the table, the shark struck his skull with a shining wizard. The leg protector crashed into his ear, briefly causing a powerful ringing throughout his head.

Dave stumbled back into one of the random wooden walls propped up for the match, shaking his head to clear his double vision. Ok then...she wants to play fun with her cute little flips and kicks? Ok...game on then. Waiting for Mako to come closer, Dave aimed a kick right for the kneecap to lower her stance before spinning in midair, bringing the heel of his shoe to repay her kick in kind, slamming right into the temple of his opponent.

After jumping off the table, Mako went airborne, heading straight for Dave before her leg collided against the side of his head. The shinning wizard did it’s job perfectly, making a smacking sound that could be heard as the leg guard clapped over her opponent’s ear, most likely creating a painful ringing within. Then landing on her ass with a low grunt, Mako would watch as Dave stumbled backwards until reaching a wooden wall.

And with her opponent dazed, the shark wasted no time getting back on her feet and continuing her assault. But as she blindly went at him, Dave shot out a kick at her knee which almost tumbled her over. Although a bit bent over, the shark was managing to stay standing as she grunted, “Gah mother fu-Ack!” In the middle of cursing, Dave had spun around and landed something like an axe kick on her skull, instantly dropping her face first into the floor. With her skull rattled, Mako would lay on her belly for a few moments before trying to lift herself up, pushing herself up with her arms as she struggled to think of a counter at the moment.

The kick brought Mako down to earth, but that wasn't good enough for Dave. Time to start putting these tables and walls to some good use. Getting to his feet, he dragged the woman to her feet, before whipping her into the weak wooden wall.

Taken a moment to clear his head, the young contender ran in a sprint to Mako, leaping up in the air to slam his boots into her chest in a dropkick, aiming to send her crashing through the wood to the floor behind it.

The kick had left Mako dazed at the moment so she had no way to keep herself from being whipped into the the wooden wall by her opponent. She grunted a bit as her head and back hit the wall with a thud, barely managing to hold herself up against it instead of falling to the ground. But that may have been a better as Dave came back at the shark in a full sprint before jumping into the air.

Mako had no time to dodge or even bring her arms into the air before her opponent's boots hit her straight on the chest, launching her through the wooden wall and onto the the floor behind it with a loud grunt. The young woman did little more than lay there as her body ached. Breathing heavily as well since the drop kick had knocked the air from her lungs. Mako was still conscious though, and even as she laid there in the debris of the wooden wall, she still had some fight left in her. So even if she was vulnerable at the moment, the shark would get Dave back for that hit for sure.

The dropkick finally managed to turn the tables, so to speak, and bring the momentum of the match back to him. The young man fell with a muffled thump on the matted floor, among the debris from the weak wooden wall. A few shots of pain went up his back, but it was a small price to pay in exchange for the opportunity it gave him now.

Grabbing her by her head, he dragged Mako to her shaky feet, bringing his arm up in a series of European Uppercuts to stagger the woman. With each successive hit, he began pushing Mako back. Bit by bit, and inch by inch, he drove her back. Every punch to her skull, every kick to her abs, driving her closer and closer to another table, one he intended to drive her pretty face into before pinning her for this win!

Mako was pretty beat up at this point as she groaned on floor, surround by the pieces of wooden she was kicked through. Dave was doing one hell of a job on her, and it seemed the young man wasn’t going to take his time as he pulled the shark to her feet by her head. And soon after Mako would receive a couple of european uppercuts, causing her to stumble backwards, grunting with her head snapping back with each hit to her jaw.

So after a couple more of these jarring strikes, as well as a well aimed kick to her abs, the shark would find herself backed up against a table. "God just how many tables are in this place?" she thought as she struggled to keep herself up, barely managing to do so with only the help of the table. Mako would stare a bit hazily at her opponent, feeling unsure of just what attack was coming next.

Dave was not going to give Mako a single second to regain her momentum. That was what would make or break this match. Mako was a powerhouse, and Dave had to keep the other off her game, and it involved him going about things a bit faster than normal.

Aiming another hard strike right off Mako's skull, Dave pushed the woman onto the table. Taking a moment to breathe he surveyed his surroundings, noticing the tables before an idea went off in his head. Smiling, the young man leaped up onto the table, taking a moment and looking across the gap at the prone body of Mako. Calming his breath he turned his back to her, before leaping clear across the gap. Arcing in the air, Dave's body did a graceful flip before landing clean on Mako for the Lionsault.

His body landed hard, breaking the table under the combined weight of the pair and the force of the impact. The wood made a loud CRACK! as the table splintered and caved in, taking both fighters with it. Reaching for a leg, Dave hooked the limp limb into the air, while the ref went for the count.

ONE!

Mako took another strike from Dave before she was pushed onto the table. And with her head spinning, the shark had no way of stopping what was about to happen as her opponent positioned her on the table before getting up on it himself. Groaning as she laid there, Mako would have only seconds to herself before Dave crashed down on her with a lionsault, which broke the table in half and left the shark nearly KOed!

There was still some fight in Mako, though. So after the ref shouted "ONE!” the shark began to stir. Then after the ref shouted “TWO!” a voice in her head was screaming at her to get up. And just as the ref brought her hand down to shout the final number, Mako shot her back up, breaking the pin just in time. “Not just…yet!” The shark would groan relieved she had made it in time.

The sudden movement didn’t help her head at all though as it throbbed in pain. Dave had done a number on Mako for sure, but she would repay everything he had given to her and then some.

Mako's kick out tossed Dave off of her, with the young man rolling away. All of that, and she STILL wouldn't go down. What was keeping her going? Adrenaline? Insanity? Dave didn't know.

What he DID know was that this match was already putting a strain on him. Never before had he been in a match like this, where he was physically pushed to his limit. Matches out of the ring were never his forte, so to get even this far was a testament to his drive and will to succeed. In Mako, he saw an opponent that was a physical match for him, with an Iron will to boot. He found himself respecting the woman more and more. For now though, he took these precious moments to regain what energy he spent already trying to put her down.
