Hikari vs Elesia: Blood tainted wings

Elesia had remained silent. In fact, the girl hardly even seemed to move, almost as if she had suddenly lost all her will and was nearly dead. The bindings continued, but she didn't struggle. In fact, she was pretty certain that struggling would only make the bindings tighter, so she started to accept this fate for now, biding her time as she listened. These two angels... they really had put their lives on the line to guard this relic. Elesia continued to ask herself if this was just a test of God still, or there was truly some confusion between everyoneâ€s cause, like.. there was a mistake. But, the Lord above wouldn't make such a mistake by sending them all here at once, right? It must have been a confusing mix up, or once again, they were sent here as a final test for Elesia. Whatever the case, she would not admit she was defeated yet, she still had a final trick; -her Joker card-, up her sleeve.

"Why...?" She suddenly asked, her words coming out barely above a whisper, her tone coming from a broken woman. The bindings were so tight that it was starting to draw blood, like razorwire digging deep into her flesh, but she remained there, feeling like this was her silver cross she would bleed upon now. "..Why do you allow humans.. to envy your power, too much pride as you gluttonously horde the power to yourself." Her words were cold, almost empty. Almost. had there not been an ember of a flame in her that was slowly growing as she started to make references to the seven sins in her words. "You react slothfully to human suffering, and when you force our lust for it to a peak, you strike us down with your wrath to prove how weak we are. Greedily... you keep it all to yourselves. You're devils... you wear the flesh of an angel, but what you are doing is the work of Lucifer himself. You don't realize it... but the world... it cries... humanity... they suffer... and you angels... will bleed." With those haunting words, she actually started to laugh to herself. It was weak, but her low chuckle had an eerie echo to it through out the chamber, like she was speaking in progenies of the great apocalypse.

Satisfied that Elesia wasn't going to escape, Rika ran over to Hikari to see if she was alright. Hikari's body was in a lot of pain, though it was slowly being numbed by loss of blood. She had multiple wounds and was bleeding out slowly. Her school skirt, normally a white color, was stained red with blood. Rika knelt down beside her friend, quickly identified the wounds, and began healing them. The wounds were slow to heal, having been dealt with magic they resisted magical healing. But Rika was powerful, and slowly she closed Hikari's wounds.

"What took you so long?" Hikari said weakly.

"I got held up at the gates," Rika said, "But hey, it's alright now, you'll be fine."

"Rika..." Hikari said. Rika held a finger to her lips.

"Shh, don't talk anymore," Rika said, "Rest now, I'll take care of it all."

She turned back to Elesia. She raised her hand, a golden light appearing in the palm of her hand. "Elesia, you are a fool," Rika said, "You cannot handle this kind of power, no human can. The reason humanity suffers is because they have closed their eyes to the truth. They do not realize that power is responsiblity, and they recklessly use that power to destroy everything they hold dear. If I give to you the Sacred Word, you will use it only to destroy, no matter how well-intentioned you are." She sighed. "You are not omniscient, hence you cannot have this power."

"Now give up, leave and return to your job of hunting demons. You have no right to fight Angels."

Even though Elesia was tied down to the point that she was getting cut in by the threads and slowly bleeding in an agonizing pain, she wasn't worried. In the end, she didn't have what it takes to kill an angel. As merciless as she proved to be, the final blow could not be brought, and Hikari was spared. In fact, seeing Rika slowly healing the girl's wounds was kind of... a releif. She lived for fighting demonic beings, not angels. And she couldn't live with herself in the end if she killed one.

"You're wrong!" Her words came out as a shout, finally looking up her her bright blue eyes, still filled with vigor and life stared back at Rika, practically claring at the girl as she spoke aloud, making her point. "The Lord himself sent me hear, you're nothing but an obsticle, a test he sent for me to fight. And I can't, no I won't let you stand in my way!" Tears shrouded her eyes now, and she started to struggle against the indestructable threads, causing them to dig deeper into her skin, rending her flesh and causing the blood to seep down her once beautiful body as it looked more like a corpse with no more than a shred of life left in it. Most angels would have taken mercy on her lost soul, but Rika would have noticed that very faintly, there was a rise of magic coming from her. It was hardly anything to notice at first, probably no more than what you would expect averagely from a human. But, from someone like Elesia, who was practically knocking on Death's door, there was no possibility she could still have such a stable hold of her celestial magical essense.

"As I said, you are a fool," Rika said. She raised her hands, and the binding threads loosened. Those razor wires were cutting deeply into Elesia, and she was bleeding out. Rika didn't want Elesia to die; God had uses for her still. But Rika wasn't letting her go, not yet. Instead, the razor wires turned into a magical binding seal.

"Prison of Purgatory," Rika said. A circle of light appeared around Elesia, sealing her inside. "I have spared your life. Now please listen to me. You can't have this power while you still have worldly ambitions. If you remain connected to the world, you will never use the power right, and will only destroy. If you want the Sacred Word so badly, let go of the world and the humans who inhabit it."

She could say all she wanted, Elesia still had one more trick up her sleeve, and she wasn't going to just let this chance go by. Blood poured from her wounds, her body was beaten past a point where death was ready to embrace her, and she refused to move, placed in the binding seal as Rika's words just blew past her like the girl was already dead. It was a shame... for such a beautiful nun to have her heart in the right place, but to be misguided this way; it was so misfortunate to happen to someone like her. Yet, Elesia still didn't see the truth. Not until she truly tried with every fiber of her being would she give up, and until she tried her trump card, she promised to fight with all she had. And that was why, she finally decided, it was time to release it; she was going to break the final seal.

"I could never abandon the real world. I... have someone on earth I'm never going to leave. I plan to make the world better for her, and every other good soul in this world. Even if it costs me my life."

Her lips never moved as she spoke, it was like she was just a puppet, the words growing in a louder pitch, and beginning to echo through out the Temple of Soloman. And as this happened, the magical energies started to flow from her once again, even in the seal, it was like it didn't even exist. And as she broke the final of the three seals she had upon her, it also started to destroy the one Rika placed around her.

"Seal three, unleashed. Restriction 666 lifted. Deploying dimensional interference field. Celestial aura deployed... From beyond the realm of souls and birth, I call upon the vorpal-sword of Erebus to bring ruin upon my enemies."

As the terrifying commands were said, Elesia was going through a final change. Once more, her wounds restored in an instant, evaporating away in a red mist. The powers flowing from her were a confliction of holy energies within her, yet darker, vile energies pouring out of her, the combination was a walking contradiction, and yet Elesia managed to balance the two perfectly. Her eyes were glassy and cold blue, like shards of ice, her holy tattoos started to actually move. The wings seemed to flutter, the cross went ablaze, even the textures and scriptures started to move along like someone was moving their eyes along the pages of the bible. And finally, the blades had not only returned to her, but changed. No longer six thin daggers, but now, eight swords, all practically spewing with dark energies were interlaced between her fingers, ready to strike.

"Perish."

She did no more than raise one hand, all four blades in hand as she slammed them downwards. Even though she was quite a distance away from Rika, it didnâ€t seem to matter to Elesia. And that was because the moment the blades hit the ground, a shockwave, like four terrible fangs tore through the ground, coming towards Rika as a dark wave of deadly energies, tearing through the temple approached her.
