The Notice Board

Hi,
plans to revamp the notice board in the hope of making it easier for members to get match partners are underway. As per Acuya's suggestion, I have replaced the side bar widget that used to display AFW Promo, with the notice board forum.

I would like to turn on the auto-prune facility.. This will automatically delete any threads in the notice board that has gone a period of time (probably 2 weeks) without replies. Please be aware that this means your old threads in the notice board will be deleted unless you ask me to move them to the general discussion forum (I think the stickies will not be pruned, but if not I will move them to appropriate sub forums)

In addition, I would like for the notice board to be solely used for match making.. Notification of absence from AFW can be posted up in General Discussion (but if we feel that it would get too crowded, I might consider some sort of alternative like a separate forum for such notifications)

I approve greatly of this decision, and would suggest that, on discussion board, we use/make just ONE thread for all notices of absence.

Well no complaints so I'm gonna go ahead and turn on the auto pruning function possibly as early as next week. If you have any old threads in the notice board you want to keep ahold of, please let me know so that I can move them.

I think its a unfortunate that promos don't get broadcasted. I think its a good way to get your char some exposure when they are trying to make a statement (Even tho its usually TLDR)
