Cyclone Tag Tournament Round 1: Weiss & Schwarz Vs. Rei and Chizuru

The arena shifted into darkness as the lights dim.  The strum of an electrical guitar and the steady beat of a kickstand drum set the tone as it filled the stadium. As the lyrics began, Rei and Chizuru walked out, colored lights flashing with each step they took. The colored strobe lights revealed a fog obscuring the two wrestle angel veterans. Walking side by side, Rei, dressed in her classic trademark red attire, high-fived some of the fans. Chizuru dutifully looked forward as she focused on the match, in her white and blue attire. Seeing Chizuru worked up, Rei casually hip bumped Chizuru as they walked along. Chizuru let out a grunt as she stumbled off to the side nearly spilling someone's popcorn. Rei gave Chizuru a pseudo-startled look before sticking out her tongue.  Chizuru agitated put Rei in a playful headlock, escorting her towards the ring.

Pointless Banter:

After entering the ring, Rei and Chizuru began to stretch to loosen themselves up. Periodically, they waved at the crowd if they could manage it. They stretched individually at first but came together at the end to help each other out for others. For their last stretch, they stood back to back and hooked their arms, the two grunted as they took turns stretching each other on their backs. As it was Chizuru's turn to be hoisted up into the air, she turned to Rei.

"You think our opponent's are going to be tough?" Chizuru said groaning as she kicked her feet slightly.

"I don't know." Rei said facing down as she lifted Chizuru up then down. "There's not really a whole lot of info on them, so I couldn't tell you much. However, it kind of makes them more dangerous since don't know what to expect.

"True..." Chizuru said lifting Rei up this time as Rei's violet hair cascaded over Chizuru's shoudlers. "Let's hope our practice did us good."

Rei and Chizuru pulled away as they finished up their routine. Their music finally ending as Rei stepped out onto the ring's ledge indicating, she wouldn't be the first one up to the plate. Putting a hand on her partner's shoulder, she gave it a reassuring squeeze.

"We got this Chi-chan. Don't be nervous. Just trust in your fearless leader." Rei flashed her smile and threw up a thumb.

Chizuru couldn't help but felt less certain about winning then after Rei had tried to boost her up. Chizuru gave a smile and nodded only to let out a sigh of despair. She turned her head back towards the ring entrance as their opponent's anthem heralded their entrance.

Chidori and Yuko were both in the locker rooms at the moment, they'd only had a single match so far here in AFW but they were already being put into a tournament like this...perhaps it was cause people didn't have much faith in them and they'd made the perfect patsies to let some people move forward!? Hell no! Chidori would not allow any such thoughts or for that to happen!

The black haired girl was bouncing on her feet as she was quite excited, after their first win here in AFW they were on the up and up! They just had to keep getting wins and everything would go well, that tag team gold would be theirs soon enough! " You ready for this Yu?!" Chidori said with a bounce and cheerful attitude.

The white haired girl, Yuko was seated on the bench, they were both wearing their one piece attire. " Mm.." She responded as she'd then move up to her feet and walk to Chidori, a cold tone in her voice as she'd speak. " Just be careful...they are most likely fairly competent." Yuko spoke out as she'd continue to walk, making her way out of the locker room.

" Bah! Don't be such a buzzkill! I'll take care of them both!" Chidori let out as she'd quickly follow after. Soon enough their music started to blast out of the speakers and with it the pair began to walk down the ramp. Or rather, Yuko walked and Chidori practically skipped. When they had made their way into the ring the two would stand and look on at their opponents. Though Yuko quickly gave them a bow and then moved out to stand on the apron, Chidori would look on at the two...a silent moment before.

" Hai hai!!!" She let out loudly as she waved her hand, " So I'm Chidori, nice to meet you! Fine stepping stones of AFW ~" She spoke out as she'd throw a wide grin towards the two.

Chizuru and Rei watched both of their opponents make their entrance. Based on how they interacted, Chizuru couldn't help but make the comparison that Yuko served a similar role in their tag team as herself, she grounded her partner and was the rock and the rational side of the coin. She felt sorry for the girl if she had to deal with someone half as unpredictable, hot headed and fearless as Rei. The thought made her more sorry for herself. However, she had to admit Rei was far from useless but she feared her carelessness might lose them the match.

The two blinked as Yuko gave them a bow which made them look at each other and then back at Yuko. Chizuru bowed back sheepishly as Rei held up  a hand and waved back in response. Neither knew how to respond to such a formal greeting prior to a match.

"Stepping stones?" Rei countered as she placed the back of her hand to her lips, narrowing her eyes. "I suppose even a defeat at the hands of the NEW Venus of Submission would advance your wrestling career. There's a lot to learn in defeat!"

"Ho Ho Ho Ho!" Rei would perform her imitation of the stuck up rich girl laugh. Chizuru decided to rain on her parade.

"You'd know all about that wouldn't you." Chizuru added with a sly smirk referring to Rei's wrestle angels win-loss record which was at a 20% winrate. This made Rei's laugh end abruptly with a cough.

"Oh you're dead!" Rei pouting before grabbing Chizuru's shoulders from behind and started shaking her. Chizuru giggled an batted Rei's hands away before coming towards the center of the ring.

"Well we've kept the crowd waiting long enough." Chizuru said as she shifted into her basic grappling stance.

Chidori was a bit surprised as she heard the nickname that the purple haired one was calling herself, she tilted her head as if she looked a fair bit confused. She'd finally take a step forward. " V-Venus of submission?!" She'd let out before shaking her head in disbelief. " T-Thats...." Chidori shook head head again! " That's such a cooooooool name!!" She practically jumped as she let those words out.

Yuko simply stared at Chidori for a moment or two before letting out a sigh. When Rei had finally left and only Chidori and Chizuru were left in the ring, with Chidori bouncing one her feet and looking over Chizuru's shoulder every now and then at Rei. Wondering just what it would take for her to get such a nickname.

As the bell finally rang the raven haired girl's senses snapped right back into the match and focused on her opponent in front of her. She took a deep breath and dropped into her grappling stance as she'd move forward to Chizuru and offer the woman a lock up.

"I know right?" Rei said with a grin with a wink as she narrowed her eye with a smirk. "Speaking of Nicknames! Go get em' Mighty Mouse."

"Damnit Rei I'm not using that nickname!"

"Why not Chizuru 'Mighty Mouse' Nagahara! It's perfect cause you're small and you're might. It's cute. You're Cute. Get's the point across."

"We'll talk about UGH! this LATER!" Chizuru said as she locked up with Chidori.

The brunette's eyes turned hard as she and her dark haired opponent locked up. She got a feel for her opponent's strength before she revealed her own. She could tell her foe was slightly above average when it came to strength. Luckily for Chizuru, she herself was much stronger than your average wrestler. Chizuru would try to overwhelm Chidori with her strength and get her in a bearhug trapping her arms against her body as she squeezed.

Chidori looked on at the pair as they seemed to be a rather lively bunch, especially the purple haired one who seemed to be just tons of fun. " Hah! That's at least better than my nickname! Yuko convinced me to be nicknamed Schwarz. Which means sweet!"

" It means black." Yuko commented from the ropes as she let out a loud sigh to follow.

" Eh ?! W-well...at least it's kinda cool then ?! Wait, so Weiss doesn't mean wise ? " Chidori let out as she'd turn towards the two foes they had for the evening.

" No."

It didn't seem as if Chidori was going to be allowed to face off against the Venus of Submission but instead the Mighty Mouse.

As they were both in the ring and in their grappling stance it seemed only fitting to try and go in with a grapple and that seemed to be Chizuru's plan. The Raven haired wrestler would quickly try and hold her ground against the powerful woman, lowering her center of gravity to make it easier to hold against her as she tried to not allow herself to be overwhelmed so easily.

"Tch!" Chizuru grunted as she swiftly realized no matter how air headed Chidori appeared, she wasn't so when it came to fighting. The dark haired girl lowered her center of gravity to make up for her lack of strength making her unable to simply overwhelm her foe. Straining, she knew simply powering her way through Chidori was a less likely option and likely to force her to expend more stamina. She needed something to give her an edge quickly.

"In that case!" The brunette powerhouse would give Chizori a powerful shove forcing her to compensate for the pushing force before pulling her in and slamming her forehead against Chidori's with a fierce headbutt.

If this stunned her opponent, Chidori would try to drop low and wrap her arms around Chidori's waist. Moving around Chidori, she would attempt to get behind her and with her legs bent, Chizuru would attempt a German Suplex!

Chidori and Chizuru was able to deadlock with each other it seemed, as the raven haired wrestler was able to keep herself grounded and make up for the slight strength disadvantage with skill instead...it was a good compromise she felt. Though she wouldn't be able to overpower Chizuru she would probably be able to outlast Chizuru like this.

Though when the brunette shoved her and forced Chidori to take a step back, before putting her own power into trying to fight back the lost ground....she was caught by that surprise headbutt from Chizuru, which snapped Chidori's head back and left her quite dazed. " Augh!" she cried out before Chizuru slipped in behind her and wrapped her arms around her waist, lifting her up into the air and then throwing the raven haired wrestler back with a painful german suplex! "Guaah!"

Chizuru grinned as she executed her trademark move, she always got chills whenever she landed it just right. The sound of her foe's impact on the ring floor and the vibrations of the slam echoing in her clutches. Chizuru held her foe in place performing a perfect arch letting the crowd take a good look at her perfect form. With Chidori's ass in the air and her legs folded up against her body, Chizuru saw this as a good opportunity to try something sneaky.

Planting the top of her head on the mat, she swung her legs over herself and released Chidori ending up landing on her ass above Chidori's head. In mid-air, Chizuru would try to hook her own legs with Chidori's prying them apart. With her shoulders still on the mat, she would go for a pin. She would look down at Chidori's face with a smile as she waited for the ref to start the count.
