Star Power (For Lobo and Maxy)

Tension was certainly bustling with activity, still basking in the glow of the awesome event that occurred in Ueno quite recently which had featured several incredible bouts. The fans had been enjoying the various sort of battles that were going on in this organisation, and also paying attention to the fact that there had been new champions quite recently in the place to fight in Kyoto. Case in point. Clyde Gastin, and Sion and Daisuke Kamiya of WhiteGale. The latter two having defeated the former Tension tag champs Ryan Knight and John Carnaby of the UK Elite in a hard fought and brutal tag ladder match, a sure sign of proof that there was now tag teaming within Tension.

An idea had been formed, it had been spoken of in social media and forums. But Tension itself had been rather mysterious when it came to what could be possible with this, until tonight. Because of a woman named Eliza Harenwood, known in Tension as the Dancing Passion. She'd proposed the idea to her friend, the World Champ Clyde. Had the UK Elite retained their gold it wouldn't have been spoken of, but this was a special occasion. Given that there were new tag champs in Tension in the form of Sion and Dai, it was a simple idea.

With the crowd in attendance they wondered among themselves just what was going to happen here tonight, suddenly though the lights blacked out. Until a velvet red curtain draped itself over the entrance ramp and a bright white spotlight shone on it, showing a shadow of a woman. Who began dancing to the song known as Pena Flamenca, and at the 0:16 mark Eliza Harenwood emerged from the curtain to a very, very loud applause. She dressed as usual, an elegant ballroom gown covering her ring attire and a masquerade ball mask on her face with a pair of fans held in her hands.

Smiling the British woman elegantly made her way down the entrance ramp, performing spins as she did so. Anytime Eliza had made an appearance was guaranteed to get a pop from the audience, for many factors such as her personality and grace in battle. Ms Harenwood entered the ring promptly and gave a bow, before moving to the ropes and asking for a microphone.

Once the music got cut Eliza would hear the crowd chanting "Ha-Ren-Wood!" over and over, a smile was on her lips before she suddenly said "Good evening Kyoto!"

A loud applause, and she carried on with "I suppose your all curious as to why I'm here tonight, well....we're going to get to that shortly. And speaking of tonight, I'd like to welcome to the ring a good man that we all know. The Tension World Champ, Clyde Gastin!" as she pointed to the entrance ramp. Clyde knew what Eliza had in mind, they discussed it prior to tonight after all.......

It wouldn't be a wait at all for Clyde Gastin to appear. Almost immediately, "Heavy Is The Head" by The Zac Brown Band began to play throughout the arena as the crowd jumped to their feet for the reigning Tension World Champion, Clyde Gastin! Who emerged with the title belt hanging over his shoulder, wearing a black T-shirt with white lettering that simply said 'King of Kyoto', along with pair of long black wrestling tights with matching pads on his elbows and knees, in addition to tape being wrapped around both his wrists.

Eliza had told him of her idea and the cowboy champion happily accepted. He was never one to turn down a challenge and despite recent controversy, wasn't about to start now.

He high-fived fans along the way to the ring before walking up the steel steps and raising the title above his head once he was inside. He then greeted Eliza with a smile and slung the arm that carried the title over her shoulder so the belt rested upon Eliza now, grinning ear to ear as he looked at the fans that were roaring for the two while the cowboy himself was eager to have him and Eliza make their tag debut against the Tension Tag Champions.

"Ya sure know how ta' give a guy one helluva introduction, Eliza."

Wasn't too long before Clyde made his way down to the ring, a grin was on the face of the dancing passion as the new Tension champ made his way down the ramp. She hadn't caught him by surprise, they talked about this earlier. Now it was just a matter of seeing what the other people involved were going to think of this, regardless Clyde was dressed for the occasion. That was going to be important to be sure, as Ms Harenwood had already warmed up the crowd for the cowboy they were certainly maintaining a great level of interest in the pair now in the squared circle.

The dancing passion remained silent, but with a smile on her face. She was going to of course allow Clyde to have his moment, and display the gold title he'd work hard to earn. Eliza chuckled a little at Mr Gastin's comment, she moved her microphone away to mutter to him with "Why of course Clyde, now then....."

Eliza held her microphone up and then began to speak with "No doubt everyone here is wondering what do the cowboy and the dancing passion have to say tonight? Well we're going to get to that, quite recently Clyde won his title and had his first title defence as you know. That said......"

"There's been some new champions also, the tag team champions. Sion and Daisuke Kamiya of WhiteGale, where they defeated the UK Elite in a hard fought ladder match. I suppose you all know what we're getting at here......." Eliza spoke, pausing after that. And then moving to the ropes and looking at the entrance ramp. "Could the new tag team champions please come to the ring now please? We have a request to make of you......." Ms Harenwood moved back to Clyde and waited for the reply of the new number one team here in Kyoto.

After about ten seconds or so Daisuke and Sion were shown somewhere backstage, talking with a few people close to a boundary where wrestlers and other related personal only were permitted to cross. It was kind of an off night of them as far as in-ring action went but they were still present and being social with a few fans. They were talking with the people when someone from behind them called to them and passed along word of what was going on in the ring. They wondered what Clyde and Eliza might want as they couldn't think of a reason, but they they decided to join them in the ring anyway and see what was up and they were shown heading in that direction.

By the time they made their way through the curtain their manager Lina caught up with them. She heard what was being said in the ring and went to find her team but they saw her first and they came out together. While it felt different being in the ring without staying to compete it was a welcomed change for Daisuke. The past couple of times she's been out there they weren't for pleasant reasons as she had to deal with a lunatic with a bat, as well as a bully of a crooked cop that gets her jollies of kicking the innocent in the head, so at least she didn't have to deal with that stress. Sion hadn't been up to anything since he and Dai became the champions but he knew the time to get back in there would come eventually.

They looked at Eliza and Clyde, wondering what they were wanting to say to them and waited for them to expand on what was said before they came out.

And so it was that the new Tension Tag champs began to make their way to the ring, Sion and Daisuke. Eliza was silent as the pair were being led with their manager Lina, in truth there had been just a little bit of doubt in the mind of the British woman on if they'd show up when requested or not. It wasn't that Eliza thought them ill of personality, they seemed like the respectful sort. It was just with the fact they hadn't shown up all that much since winning the belts, even with the various teams that were present in Tension during all of this.

Regardless though WhiteGale had shown up, once they were in the ring and the music turned off Ms Harenwood would look to Clyde for a few seconds before giving him a nod. He knew why they were here in the first place after all, with the British woman then refocusing back on the new people in the ring.

"Before we get started, me and Mr Gastin here would like to congratulate you both on your recent victory against the former tag champs! Ladies and Gentlemen give them a round of applause please!" Eliza said, and sure enough the crowd did all clap. Most likely because Ms Harenwood was requesting it, and in her mind they earned it. Once the clapping died down though she'd continue.

"Now then.....let's get down to business. Tension has had quite the rise in terms of champs, such as of course our World Champ Clyde Gastin! And also of course you Mr Sion and Ms Daisuke being crowned the new Tag champs. So how best to go from here?" Eliza said. A pause was then had.

That is until the dancing passion said "The answer is obvious is it not? The pair of you are most certainly looking for your first title defence, whereas myself and Clyde here are wishing to challenge the best tag team here to see if we can prove ourselves one step better than them. Though the question is this, we challenge you for the tag titles. Right here, right now and may the best team win. Do you accept?"

Eliza lowered her mic, she didn't drop it. But the crowd was certainly now in an uproar at the potential battle that could ensue between some of the very best that Tension currently had to offer.......

They nodded at Eliza when she congratulated them on their recent victory, though before they could even process saying the same towards Clyde she continued on with why she wanted them out here.  As Eliza continued Sion clued into what she was saying before the challenge was bluntly put down.  He's seen it done many times before, though this was one of the few instances here where it was completely civil.  Indeed they were looking to get back in the ring as a group, especially Sion as Daisuke's had other matters going on inside the squared circle and he didn't want to play waiting gamer longer than he had to.

He grinned at Eliza saying she and Clyde wanted to face the best team, since he and Dai did hold the tag belts currently.  Before either of them could respond however, Lina gestured for her team to hold up.  While she too wanted to see them in action the 'right here right now part' wasn't something she liked.  If they were dressed for a fight then that be another thing, but neither of them were here expecting to be in the ring today and if they were to do battle she wanted to give them some time, since it seemed like this was something Eliza and Clyde were thinking of for some time.  She asks for the mic from Eliza ,if Eliza wasn't one to share she would obtain one of her own.  Either way she wanted to point out the obvious.  

"I'm sure you can tell by simply looking at them they like the sound of that...but I don't.  Hear me out though here me out."  She had a feeling that would disappoint some but knowing her there was always a reason and a possible solution.  "I'm sure you would agree that if there is a match of that importance to take place surely the competitors should look the part.  It looks like to me, please tell me if I'm mistaken, that you guys thought of this for some time and came ready to fight.  In case you haven't noticed it's kind of the opposite for them. Now they do got their stuff here so it would simply be a matter of them doing their thing then come back...hold that thought." She leaves the ring and heads over to where the ring announcer and time keeper are.  She asks to see the lineup for the event and gives it a read before returning to the ring with it.  "I know you'd rather get going as soon as possible but would you rather them run back there, race to themselves dressed then make it back out here asap?  Or do you want them with more in the tank and make it more of a fair fight?"  She then gives a quick apology to the fans, saying some technical stuff is going down.  She moves closer towards Eliza and shows her what she was looking at, showing that at that moment they were still early in the evening.  She scrolls down the list and points to a gap in the second half "That should give them enough time to get their shit on and mentally prepared...Unless you rather want to wait a day or two."

As the two spoke Sion asked Lina "Shouldn't we get a say in this?"  She would talk it over with him and Dai if Eliza and her were able to agree on a time, but asked Sion to give them a moment in the mean time.  Daisuke looked towards Clyde and shrugged.

Eliza truth be told didn't see much point in having a manager, granted Clyde and her had been ringside for each other's matches recently. But that was more out of their alliance with each other rather than being managers. Namely because they both were in-ring competitors, but it seemed that Sion and Daisuke proved there was merit to having a manager. Eliza didn't really know the woman, aside from her odd name of Lina. Made the dancing passion think of the moon for some reason, for letter away from Luna.

Regardless Lina's words did have merit, after all it did seem like Clyde and Eliza had caught them off guard. Which was somewhat the point, though it would matter little in Ms Harenwood's mind. After all Mr Gastin was the champ of Tension, and Eliza was a household name here so both had been well documented and no doubt seen by the enemy. That said though Lina offered a time tonight for when the match could happen, which was the most likely time for it to occur.

The dancing passion was silent as she read it, but in a minute she quickly nodded to Clyde and gave him a look. Eliza knew he'd still be on board for this showdown regardless, Eliza smiled to Lina and said "Very well, we shall take the first option and battle later this evening. The people here wish to see this battle, and as wrestlers we're obligated to grant that request. Mr Sion, Ms Daisuke please take this time to prepare. And know that regardless this will no doubt be an incredible bout, ta ta for now." and with that Eliza would bow gracefully and then prepare to exit the ring with the Tension World Champ. This extra time could be used for the enemy to prepare for the cowboy and the dancer, but it worked both ways indeed......

While it appeared that Eliza and Lina were in agreement as Eliza mentioned the end result of their discussion, Sion felt like he and Daisuke were being left out of the match making process. As Eliza turned to leave Sion gestured for her to hold up for a moment. "Give us a sec please." He moves towards Lina and asks what what's going on. She waves Daisuke in and she show them both what was being discussed as far as the timing was concerned. That gave them a rough idea of when things would go down, though with how long each of the matches before them last as well as the intermission it still was way less than what Eliza and Clyde had to prepare with, but they felt it would be enough for them. Three talk it over for a few more seconds before Sion address the opposition.

"Sorry for the delay there. While we're okay with her acting on our behave we wanted to be sure of what was going down before being thrown into it. I'll admit, this isn't exactly how I thought out first title defense would come about, but when the time times later tonight I can assure we'll be ready to go."

Despite being champion, Clyde was happy to take a step back and allow Eliza do all the talking necessary, standing proudly beside her with a his chin lifted high, nodding along with the words of the dancing passion as she made it clear that they wanted a piece of the tag champs with their titles on the line!

And everything seemed to be going A'okay! Until their manager or someone made it clear that they weren't going to be ready right away and that they would fight later tonight.

Clyde nodded to Eliza. silently agreeing with her before Eliza took to the mic again and made it official.

With a smug huff, Clyde disappeared with Eliza, walking in front of the dancing passion and holding up the ropes for her to exit before following her out, high fiving the fans as he eager awaited to once again fight for the tag titles in his second attempt, but now with his best friend, Eliza.

All was cool until Sion addressed him and Clyde gave the guy a look. He apparently did not remember him.

"It's whatever, man. Just be ready 'ta hand over them titles." Said Clyde with a confident grin before flashing a look at Daisuke and giving her a quick wink before disappearing backstage with Eliza.
