Ranka Shumisen Vs. Liberty Vella: Hardcore match!

Ranka shook her head a bit as finally the bigger woman stepped back and admired her handiwork....something she shouldn't have done, even  if it was just for a second or two it was enough for the redhead to get her breath back, and see that leap up from the raven haired woman.

The redhead tried to drop down, onto her knees and avoid that high leaping knee, trying to slip out from the corner now that she might have the chance and get behind Liberty if she could, to try and wrap her arms around the former hardcore champions waist and try to lift the woman up into the air and throw her backwards for a german suplex attempt !

While Liberty wasn’t known for her incredible running speed, once she got in motion, she could be a fearsome force to behold. There she was, dashing across the ring, hair streaming behind her as she stormed towards her target. She leaped high, flew into space with a knee that would’ve rocked Ranka’s skull and left her seeing stars. It could’ve ended the match, right then and there.

If it hit. Which it didn’t. ”Shit-”

That was all she had the time to say before her world came crashing down and she got German Suplexed hard into the mat. The crash was thunderous and the impact was every bit as painful as it looked.

Dazed and hurting, Liberty instinctively rolled under the ropes to make her way outside of the ring, making some space to breath and recoup.

Ranka's counter-attack went off perfectly as she not only managed to slip out from what could have been a devastating hit, she also managed to pull one off on the raven haired former Hardcore champion as well! Which was without a doubt something she needed to do if she wanted to stay in this match....

So far it seemed as if Ranka was in for quite the fight against this woman...not that Ranka would have it any other way, the question was only how long that Liberty could last! She needed to keep her assault going though, but she wasn't allowed to do so, at least not in the way she most wanted to. As Liberty rolled out of the ring and got herself a breath....at least for a second.

The Redhead wouldn't let Liberty rest for long though, as she'd attempt to slip out of the ring as well and move up towards Liberty, looking to come in with a strong stomp towards the Hardcore Icon's skull!

Liberty was a little miffed that she had to roll out of the ring this early into what felt like the start of a long matchup. She didn’t have any real reason to be, though. Hardcore match, no count-outs, no real penalty to taking the fight out of the ring. If anything, being outside the ring favored her. She was always more comfortable in the street than the ring, letting her inner brawler come out to play.

Still. Hated running away.

But that didn’t mean she couldn’t make the most of it. She was just starting to raise up to her feet when Ranka rolled out of the ring after, no doubt looking to smash her face into the pavement judging by the way her boot was coming in. Smart move, definitely something Liberty would’ve done herself.

In this position, though, she could see it coming, and while she wasn’t a counter-master by any stretch, she could work with this. She ducked, just low enough to let Ranka’s leg pass over her head, then rose up between her fellow hardcore wrestler’s leg. From there, it was just a matter of standing up straight, lifting Ranka along with her, then slamming her down on the cold floor with a sloppy, makeshift powerbomb. Wouldn’t be pretty, but she didn’t get extra points for style.

Ranka was not about to let Liberty get away from her, she had no fear of fighting outside of the ring and that was why she so easily went out to go and bring the pain onto the raven haired hardcore Icon.

Liberty didn't seem to be in such a good position which was why the redhead went in to try and send that nasty stomp down onto her head. However what Ranka's boot hit was nothing but air as Liberty was sneaky enough to slip in between her legs and lift the redhead up....Ranka's eyes widened and before she could even act she was slammed down with that make-shift powerbomb!

The impact was painful as it caused the redhead to gasp out in pain as her back was slammed down at the cold unforgiving ground beneath them! " Kah!!" surges of pain rushed up through her spine as her arms went limp.

Almost as soon as Ranka hit the ground, Liberty cursed herself for not thinking that move through more. Yeah, getting her down on the mat was a good move, but she could’ve slammed her against the apron if she’d just had the presence of mind to turn around a little bit. Missed opportunities. Hated it.

She’d get other chances, though, so her lament was quickly forgotten as she stumbled away from the fallen Ranka. It looked like she’d be out for a moment, which meant Liberty had some time to burn. And since they were outside of the ring already…

She lifted the apron’s skirt and started fidgeting under the ring, making a quick selection of the nearest party favors.

Not enough time to set up the table.

Wasn’t feeling the fire extinguisher.

That left the chair and the kendo stick. Chair, kendo stick, chair, kendo stick…

”Chair.” Liberty snatched it out from under the ring and lifted it high into the air, drawing cheers of approval from the hardcore fans. They knew what to expect from her fights, after all, and she never disappointed when it came to wanton violence.

Ranka groaned as she remained down on the ground, shaking her head as she soon enough watched the shadow of Liberty leave her frame as the bigger woman left to get weapons out from underneath the ring...

The redhead would roll over onto her front and start to push herself up towards her hands and knees, shaking her head a bit to clear the cobwebs that had built up from that makeshift powerbomb. A light struggling to get up towards her knees she saw Liberty pull out that chair and hold it up in the air...

She cursed herself for getting downed by that powerbomb and now sought to redeem herself in her own mind. Looking to push up towards her feet the redhead would try and step up and when Liberty lowered that chair she'd try and come in and superkick that chair right into the former hardcore champion!

Liberty held the chair up high, proud and loud as the audience cheered her on, glad to see the match ratcheting up so early on. She felt like a gladiator in the arenas of old as she neared Ranka, preparing to bring her weapon of choice down on the head of her unworthy foe, eager to spill blood in this brutal contest.

Until Ranka kicked the chair and drove it right into Liberty’s face with a dull THWACK.

Metals collided with flesh and bone as the former hardcore champion was done unto as she would do unto other, rocking her skull all the way down to the center. She teetered for a moment, then tottered, as if she might just shake it off and go back on the attack, but no - she plopped down soon enough and dropped the chair to the side, groaning and blinking while her brain tried a soft reset.

Letting out a few deep breaths of air the redhead would huff and puff, shaking her head a bit as she brought her right arm back to rub her back a little bit. The Japanese veteran would roll her shoulders and let out a groan...that powerbomb had done a nasty number off her but she'd be damned if she let the raven haired woman get the better of her.

So far at least this match was proving a lot more entertaining than her first bout in AFW. It seemed that if she wanted a fun match she'd have to turn her attention to the so called top of this league.

Ranka decided to not let the chair go to waste, as she'd move down to grab a hold of the chair and try and move it to place it right on Liberty's head, placing the metal on her face as she'd then step up the the side of the ring and attempt grab onto the middle ropes, yank herself up to the apron and then jump off of the apron to attempt to come with both her feet down for a brutal double foot stomp down onto that chair covering Liberty's face.

Liberty was confused. The brain trauma wasn't helping, but there were other factors.

Mostly, she was trying to figure out why Ranka had left a chair on her face, instead of just, you know, beating with the damn thing. Seemed like a no-brainer sort of move.

But it seemed like Ranka had something a little more intense in mind. When she looked through a gap in the chair and saw the redhead going up to the apron she figured out just how her opponent planned to follow up: by leaping off the apron and stomping her in the head with a steel chair in between.

Yeah. Fuck that.

Liberty moved like her life depended on it. Maybe it did. She rolled out of the way at the last second, narrowly avoiding the move and saving her from a career - possibly life - ending injury.
