The Princess and the Viking: Rapunzel vs. Hiccup

THREE-FALL NORMAL MATCH: In order to win, a wrestler must secure three falls by either submission or pinfall.

This was it. Hiccup's debut match. He found himself with his head in his hands on the bench, trying to psych himself up. He could do this! A piece of him knew that Jack was gonna be watching, either from home or from somewhere else, and he knew that he had to do his best with this match, if only for him! He groaned slightly, however -- shit, Jack was gonna be watching. That meant if he lost in his debut match, Jack would surely think less of him! Well…maybe not, but Hiccup knew he wouldn't hear the end of it, at the very least. He had to win this, if only for Jack. But also, he had to win this for himself -- he had to prove to himself that he could do it.

He was summoned to the stage, so he began to move out of the locker room and towards the entrance. He could hear the beginning of his opening song playing in the stage, and as the singer began to, well, sing, he made his way out. He stomped on the ground in time with the music, before doing a front flip as the music went up for a moment, landing smoothly and stomping on the ground again, beginning to rile up the crowd. He rushed the stage, flipping into the ring with a bit of surprise even on his own part, before going up to the top of the turnbuckle and climbing up the ropes. With that, he leaned out over the turnbuckle, his arms outstretched -- like a phoenix, just in time for the song to cut off and the lights to go out. The crowd erupted into cheers, and he knew that his opening was a success. Now if only he could figure out how to make his fire actually, well, happen.

Rapunzel on the other hand was less apprehensive about her upcoming debut. True, her record wasn't stellar during training, but the audience didn't know that. All she needed to do was land a couple good blows on the newbie, and let her magic hair and feminine wiles do the rest.

Unlike Hiccup, Rapunzel had no entrance music of her own, relying on the stock music AFW used for their female fighters. She'll figure it out soon. Right now she just needed to focus on the tall boy standing in front of her. He had quite a bit of muscle on him, and wasn't afraid to show it off either. The girl was wearing her two piece outfit, with a tight, body hugging top and matching shorts, with lavender finger-less gloves. Her hair was reaching down to her lower back, but she decided not to use magic until she felt it was called for.

Smirking, she gave Hiccup a coy look, "Hope you do't mind being pinned by little old me. It's a feeling you'll get used to soon enough."

Typical trash talk, common ring talk to be sure. Giving a suggestive wink, she waved at Hiccup, even blowing him a kiss to throw him off his game while she put up her fists.

T'ch, his opponent was cocky. All right then. Hiccup stretched his arms out a bit, giving a soft laugh as she gave him the coy look and blew him a kiss. Oh, he wouldn't lower his defenses at all, no need to worry about that. He just kept stretching until the bell went off -- and the game was afoot! He moved forward casually, almost lazily at first. But then he suddenly shot forward, using some of his natural speed to close the gap between them before she even managed to move out of her corner, hoping to slam her straight into the padding by jutting his shoulder out and hitting her with it.

It wasn't the only move he would make. Since he was close to her, he would grab for her waist in order to yank her in, even going so far as to try and hook his arm under her leg to pick her up and throw her in a snap suplex. He was holding no punches; these first few moments would be crucial if he wanted to get three pins, and it would set the tone for the rest of the match. And he wanted to win this more than anything else in the world, at that moment.

Rapunzel certainly did not expect Hiccup to full out ignore her flirtatious actions. This never usually happened before, which immediately put her on the back foot in this match. Hiccup charged in a full on sprint, driving his shoulder into her exposed torso. The impact crushed her between his toned frame and the padded corner. Even with the softer padding, the sheer power of the impact knocked the air completely out of her. The blonde staggered a few steps out, practically falling into the viking's grip. This would only play into his plan, as he scooped her up into a snap suplex. The move sent shards of pain into her spine, causing her to arch her back and place a hand on her injury. Not wanting to lay vulnerable, she scrambled to her feet, using the magic in her hair to speed her up slightly. Her golden hair let off a bright glow as she did so, which made the audience oooohhh and ahhhhhhh.

Needing to even the odds, Rapunzel dashed at Hiccup, slamming a rapid series of punches into Hic's abs. Given her lack of muscle, she had to rely on quantity rather than quality.

Hiccup couldn't help but grin as his suplex landed so smoothly, sending her careening across the ring. He didn't expect her to weigh so little, otherwise he wouldn't have put so much strength into the throw. But it was no matter, she was already gone. He grinned at her as he stood up, crossing his arms as her hair glowed, raising an eyebrow. "Your hair is glowing," he remarked, leaning in for a moment to watch, "oooh"ing with the rest of the crowd. So when she darted in for the punches, he was taken off guard.

Not like it mattered much. He steeled himself for the blow, but her punches didn't do much of anything to her. He raised an eyebrow before he shifted out of the way, his stomach getting a little red, though he didn't seem to pay much mind to it. He moved to grab her hair for a moment, wrapping it up in his hand -- before trying to wrap his arm around her neck in a nice chokehold.

"AAHHH!" she cried out, feeling Hiccup yanking at her hair. One of the weaknesses of her abilities was it made her hair a prime target for her opponents. She felt Hiccup reeling her in by her hair, which sent her brain into a panic.

"No no no no no no!" she breathed, her hair glowing again as it began to shorten, slipping out of the viking's grip. Eager to turn this around to her own advantage, Rapunzel swung around, bringing her leg up for a hard kick right into the viking's left side.

It was rather large; it was hard not to aim for it, and it made things a bit easier if it was out of the way. However, he wasn't used to this whole…powered being thing. So when she managed to shorten the hair, he made a yelp and jumped back, letting her slip from his grip. He gave a small blink as he looked at his hand, and looked at her as if to make sure it did just happen.

Didn't mean that he was completely unaware. He could see her tense up, so he grabbed at that leg and used his grip on it to yank her down to the canvas with a small smirk. Just to show that he could, he went for the pin, despite knowing she was still awake enough to fight back.

Damn! It seemed every time she tried to make a comeback, Hiccup found a way to slam her down once more. In this case, he managed to catch her leg, yanking her to the canvas before going for the cover.

"Hey! I'm not through yet!" she huffed, shoving the young man off of her long before the ref even began counting.

Meanwhile, in the front row, Jack was cheering Hiccup on, holding a sign with a black dragon on it with big green eyes, cheering louder than most of the people in his section.

Hiccup grinned down at her as she shoved him off, moving to his feet. He turned to the audience to flex for a moment -- when his eyes landed on Jack with that sign held up above his head. He moved over to the ropes, pointing straight for Jack. He gave him a wink, before he turned back around.

He pushed back on the ropes before he bounced off of them, aiming to slam his full body weight into Rapunzel, if she was standing or still on the canvas. The goal was to get her back down on the mat, so he could grab her head and yank her into a headlock while he sat on her torso.

Rapunzel had just managed to get to her feet when the viking bounced off the ropes, slamming their bodies together with a resounding thud. The impact alone sent the princess spinning into the padded corner post, where her head crashed into the top.

Dazed and disoriented, she staggered out from the corner, finding it hard to keep her balance with her vision swimming in and out, even taking a weak swing at what she thought was hiccup, but only turned out to be a double image in her mind.
