Minor Misunderstandings

Maddie cracked a slight smile at Lia's attempt to console her, though it didn't really ease her guilt much. Rising up to her feet as well, she held her arm out to offer assistance to the silver-haired girl. "I... should go back and apologize to the bartender... And pay for your drink... I probably owe you like three more now."

"Hah, thanks..." Lia pulled on Maddie's arm to stand up, nearly tripped, and slumped into Maddie's shoulder to keep herself upright. "Oh right... yeah, the poor lady seemed really freaked out..."

"Well, if you're offering... I won;t turn down a few more..." Lia grinned, somehow, the night seemed to be turning back to a regular one. Although you need bedrest more than alcohol right now! "There's a few things I wouldn't mind forgetting tonight..." she smiled, while the two slowly stumbled their way back to the bar.

"S-sorry..." Maddie apologized, feeling her guilt weigh down a bit more. She could probably do with forgetting much of tonight as well. So far anyway. Maybe it could still be salvageable.

"Y-yeah... Let's go then." the dark-haired girl said a bit hesitantly, blushing slightly as she helped Lia back towards the bar entrance. She messed up pretty bad with the first impression, but maybe they could still be friends...
